Much like others in these reviews, I wish I could leave negative stars. I have serious regrets about starting care with Boston IVF. The only reason for going forward is that I do really like the doctor, however it's becoming abundantly clear that the one and only time I met with her will probably be the last time I have an appt with her, as I'm already scheduled to meet with the PA once it's all said and done. As a medical professional myself, I am truly appalled at how poorly they speak to patients, the nurse who called with instructions was clearly reading off a script like a patronizing robot, no care or compassion whatsoever. Because you can't get ahold of anyone, tips and tricks for dealing with some of the pain for injections I've had to go on Reddit to find out. Billing department are complete idiots also, have no idea what they're talking about and I will absolutely be looking at any bill with a fine tooth comb. I came to Boston IVF with high hopes and a need for compassionate, patient-centered care. I specifically chose Dr. Nesbit because she expressed genuine concern over how often patients--especially women--aren't heard. She promised to listen and support me throughout the process. That promise was broken. From the beginning, it was clear that my concerns were only taken seriously when voiced by my husband. As the patient, I was routinely dismissed or talked over, while my husband was treated as the authority--even when repeating what I had just said. It was humiliating and invalidating. Things came to a head when a nurse repeatedly called me by the wrong name. I corrected her multiple times, and when I finally showed understandable frustration, I was treated as the problem. No apology, just defensiveness. Then, during a follow-up, Dr. Nesbit herself referred to me using that same wrong name. That moment broke whatever trust I had left. The doctor I had chosen for her empathy didn't even know who I was. I also brought up documented efforts I had made--messages and attempts to clarify care that were ignored across multiple departments. Dr. Nesbit seemed surprised, despite this being a repeated issue. My efforts to be proactive were simply brushed aside by staff, with zero accountability. This entire experience made me feel invisible, silenced, and deeply disrespected. For a place that claims to support women through one of the most vulnerable times in their lives, the disconnect between that promise and my reality was staggering. After 3 years and a miscarriage w Boston IVF I have a beautiful baby daughter, and for this I couldn't be more grateful.  At the same time, I would implore anyone starting treatment to attempt to find another center.  BIVF is totally flush with patients (and accepting more every day!) and has zero incentive to make your journey easier or more efficient.  Despite having a wonderful doctor (Dr Murphy) and mostly wonderful nurses, I encountered a mind-numbing amount of avoidable delays (always resulting in at least a cycle's delay) due to BIVF's miserable young schedulers, coordinators, and financial staff.  The rate of turnover of non-medical staff is extraordinary.  I had the experience more than once of waiting for weeks for a call back, only to learn the person didn't work there anymore. To be specific - after taking 4 mos in fall 2023 to fully miscarry an embryo that spilt into twins and stopped developing, paired with a failed D&C, I got a last-minute call around Christmas that we needed another sperm sample to move forward with next retrieval.  This was after 6 months(!) since implantation --  my partner could have waltzed into the center any day to do a sample.  He rocketed down from Maine to do so, but we were too late by 1 day.  Cycle lost.  In another example, I was waiting to implant the embryo that became my daughter, but needed myomectomy prior.  I had just retrieved, and got an angry call from a surgical coordinator (who left the following month) that I hadn't called her with day 1 of my period(??)  I was totally blindsided - I stood no chance of starting my period or using OCPs to thin my lining, as I'd just retrieved, so after months on the waitlist for a particular surgeon who only works Fridays, I was forced to wait another 2.5 mos due to a complete lack of communication.  When you mention these things to any clinician, they will basically say, out of (?) resignation, that this is just somehow part of the process.  It needn't be with properly trained staff and overarching coordination.  In what is already often devastating process wherein it is easy to veer in to hopelessness, it sucks to be gaslit that delays and f-ups are somehow par for the course; or worse: your fault. I say this from the very privileged position of someone who was ultimately successful, but dealing with them while you're trying to keep hope alive vs... not, is pretty awful. I can't tell you what a breath of relief it was to return to a "normal", professional-feeling experience with my prenatal provider office + delivery hospital and their functional EHR (don't even get me started on BIVF's stupid cheap patient portal and lack of access to your own data.)    A few tips, if you do end up with BIVF: -Call your insurance directly throughout the process. Often things will be approved by ins far quicker than BIVF will lead you to believe.  Typically BIVF is the holdup -  causing you to miss that next cycle. -Be proactive.  There will be no warning system for anything (again, no incentive), including things like needing a new referral from your primary.   Be a pest!   Ask are we all set, is there anything I need: a lab, an image, a sperm sample, a new referral?  What are the requirements for cycle timing coming into X procedure?   I can't state this strongly enough: if you have a feeling you "missed" something, you probably have, and it is probably NOT you (I say this as someone who works in healthcare). That said, may the Lord give you patience, bc you will wait an entire 5 min of hold music and unskippable message every time you need to leave a message for nursing to call you back, often mult times a day, in what is likely the middle of your own busy workday. Unclear why this is the set up, as no one ever answers live. -Their billing and financial depts do not talk to each other (you read this correctly).  If you have a credit on your account, you have to figure out what it is and alert the other office to credit it before charging you for the next cycle, procedure, etc.   Overall, esp living in greater Boston area, I think going with an academic medical center is the better choice, even with a waitlist.  Good luck!! read more

I've been with Boston IVF for a few years now, under Dr. Thornton. She was ok at first, but I never cared for her admin. Over time, we started having numerous communication issues where we were not told information or they wrote down incorrect instructions on our care plan. It came to head when we received numerous incorrect communications within a week of each other and found out we had not been told information that was necessary for our fertility treatment and may have set us back months or longer. I'm not saying I don't reccomend Boston IVF, but I am saying I would NEVER recommend Dr. Thornton, even to my worst enemy. read more

When I did my first egg retrieval under a different doctor, we ended up with 7 eggs--and a massive insurance headache. We felt completely failed by the system. Then we met Dr. Seidler. She took the time to understand us--our goals, our history, our insurance limitations--and helped us make smart, thoughtful decisions that were truly in our best interest. Warning, their services and communications lead to months of stress. Toth and the administrative team expect you to know all terms and acronyms before talking to them. The worst experience I've ever had. I froze my eggs with Dr. Lannon. He was great. The billing department was a nightmare. I've never experienced anything so predatory and awful with any medical entity in my life. They will upcharge you for storage fees. My mom was ill and I quit my job to be with her while she was dying. I told the office I wouldn't be able to pay a flat fee until I started working again. That once I got my job I would put down $2400 for 5 years of storage. An offer they gave to me while I was recovering from surgery and after my mom passed. They put my account into collections without notifying me. I was in contact with the office many times. Now they are trying to make me pay an extra $2,500 on top of the $2400 I setup a payment plan for. The billing department is just awful and represent a systemically flawed system that prays on patients financially. read more

I would give them 0 stars if that was an option. you can never get through to the nursing team. they lie through the phone just to make you happy, then waste another cycle just to say you have to start next cycle. If I hadn't used them in the past, I would have started somewhere else. if it wasn't for the doctors I would leave. So much for a stress free environment. The nursing team, administrative team, the financial coordinating team, they do not care about you. They drop the ball every time, so you're wasting month after month trying to get to the egg retrieval stage. I've been attempting to start cycle meds since February and now they're trying to push it for a July/August egg retrieval. If I could start over again, I would choose a different office. If I never received my meds I would have transferred. If my donor sperm wasn't already at the Waltham location, I would have left the practice. My Dr was great and so was her team. After 3 years of unsuccessful IVF with my own eggs my spouse and I turned to donor eggs. Worst experience of my life. I had to change teams after being with my previous team for 3 years because 3rd party and donor eggs is different. I never spoke to a single Dr or person from 3rd party even during the middle of a cycle when I was bleeding! I bled for 5 weeks and they kept going saying we will wait one more week to see and then one more week to then finally cancel after almost 7 weeks of bleeding! No one listened to a single concern I expressed or answered the questions I had. I would suggest any and all stay away from 3rd party as much as possible. I am still traumatized by them. If I go back to Boston IVF to try donor eggs again I refuse to work with them. The worst people I have ever had to work with. Prior to working with them everything was great. IVF Dr and nurse was amazing. Just stay away from third party. I will tell any and all how horrible they are. My anxiety is going up right now just thinking about my experience with them. read more

My husband and I sought Boston IVF, knowing they had the best statistics for successful IVF pregnancies in the area. We had been trying on our own for 2 years, and experienced 2 miscarriages, so felt it was time to explore IVF. We were extremely excited and hopeful, but the experience was terrible from the start. To this day, 1 year later, we have never met our doctor, NP, or nursing team in-person. When we started with testing (~3 months after our initial nurse televisit), they tested both of our blood, and my husband's sperm. After my husband provided two blood and two sperm samples (driving over an hour each time), they then decided to inform us that insurance would not cover IVF if there were any traces of nicotine. My husband is not a smoker, but a zyn-user, and had he known this from the onset, he would have stopped when we had our initial nurse visit... No one had informed us of any insurance parameters. We never met with anyone that explained how the process would go. So now, we had to re-test, and wait for a new authorization go through, waiting another 2 cycles. Once we were finally approved for an IVF cycle, they called to tell us that we should coordinate with our specialty pharmacy for drug delivery. The day the medications were delivered, we received a giant box with meds / syringes / supplies, and had no idea how to use any of it. They told us a nurse would call on the day the meds were scheduled to be delivered, however, all we received was a voicemail that told us what doses of each med to take, and when. We never received any instruction on how to use a syringe, or how to administer any of the drugs... thank god my mother in law is a nurse, and was able to walk us through the first night of medications. For any questions we had along the way, we needed to call, leave a voicemail, and pray that we would be available when they called back, or we would continue to play the voicemail game. Terrible system for this high-need patient population. 1 week into my IVF cycle, they had wanted me to come in for blood testing on a specific day, but I had planned to be away that weekend, and I asked if I could come in the day before. I was scolded by the nurse, and told that I shouldn't be planning any travel during my IVF cycle.... but this was my very first IVF cycle, and no one explained this rule or expectation to me, or what to expect during the cycle at all. I was going in blind, and relied heavily on the scant voicemails the nurses would leave every 2-3 days. My first fresh transfer did not take, so we tried again with a frozen embryo transfer. This one was successful. I had one ultrasound to confirm heartbeat at 7.5 weeks. They then told me I was "graduated" from the IVF clinic, and should make an appt with my regular OB... this is the first time I am pregnant, so my first OB appt isn't for a few weeks. They told me if I had any questions until I saw a regular OB, I could call in. Well, I had a terrible fall today that scared me, and I called Boston IVF for guidance / reassurance (left a voicemail), and the nurse that called me back said they could no longer advise me, and that I should call my OB... even though I haven't seen a regular OB yet... I asked if there was any reassurance she could give me, any signs to look for of concerning symptoms, and she point blank said "I cannot advise on this, as I am not the most qualified" ...I doubt my Boston IVF records have even gone to my OB yet, so in my mind... if she is not qualified now, were they ever qualified? What kind of response is this to an anxious woman in early pregnancy who has had 2 miscarriages before???? Absolutely awful experience. Would not recommend. read more

Also they never once got my partner's they/them pronouns correct. I left and am continuing my family planning at Fenway Health. I left a msg three weeks ago to schedule an appt. A woman who seemed rush calls me minutes ago to schedule with a rushed 'sorry for taking long BUT we have a large call volume." I should've hung up immediately but since I wanted to see Dr. Neithardt I continued. The rest was just her rudely asking questions. I initially told her before all the questions that I'm looking for a specific doctor and she cut me off saying "don't worry all the doctors are taking patients except for one so don't worry" so instead of allowing me to tell her the doctor's name she had me continue. Dismissive action here. Then when it was time for scheduling I tell her the doctor's name and she said "oh! only that doctor is not accepting patients" what a waste of my 13 minutes and today is a special day for our family so this experience was unwarranted. I'm a clinician and have heard AWFUL things about Boston IVF from patients but I read so many excellent things about Dr. Neithardt and wanted her for a second opinion while staying with my RE. I obviously declined to schedule and hung up the phone. Such an appalling patient-customer service experience. I am happy for all those with wonderful experiences and am saddened for all those that have terrible ones. I fortunately have healthy small children and this experience has already rolled off my back but if I suffered from years of infertility with no children this call would've been more painful. The staff is rude, you have no access to your Doctor and the nurses leave you a message to take this pill, give your self this shot then 2 hours later that shot etc. you call to confirm understanding ( since you just paid 11k) for this 1 time chance and you receive no call back. Boston IVF billing service is a fraud. They will send you random bills one time a year for storage of sperm you cancelled 5 years ago then send no bill for 6 years then start billing you again. They hold a sperm discard form that no one answering the phones has a clue how to access. They withhold this form so they can continue to randomly bill you. DO NOT Go to Boston IVF!! You will deal with a headache turn nightmare for the rest of your life. read more

Then, we had something come up- and tried with more than 24 hour notice to reschedule. I sent multiple emails, left voicemails, and still to this day did not receive a reply. I was going to leave it alone, and chalk it up to staffing issues, until I received a bill today! They actually CHARGED my insurance company for a visit! Stay away from this place. read more

I'll write more later if I think of i, but this is the following absolute awful experience list we've had and wanted it documented to warn others first (we've talked to many other couples with similar experiences): Took 10 requests to make a simple appointment for a lab test. The woman who I finally reached was the DIRECT line I was given previously ("kayla" maybe?) and even though I had been calling for weeks with no reply she was rude and nonchalant when I mentioned it politely, and eating loudly during our call. She also scheduled my appointment for the wrong freaking month even after repeatedly telling her I could absolutely not do anything in february (I was the one with a tight schedule, not them--it was a simple test that I could do at my liesure). when I arrived, they had none of my info. Like, not even my name. They had no idea who I was, despite answering several questions ahead of time. Then later, I had to have the test repeated ("inconclusive"? Or they lost it more likely), and it was mostly the same garbage. THEN, I had a minor surgical procedure that required tissue being driven directly to them from the hospital for testing. We not only spent 2 months dealing with them and the doctor ensuring EVERYTHING was covered by insurance (due to their slow responses and incompetence), but then, TWO DAYS after the test, we got a thing in the mail saying the tissue test was not covered and would cost $350 and requested that we sign something agreeing to the charge. Not only did we not sign the form, but we confirmed the test was covered by our insurance. I'm guessing they didn't like their contracted rate with our insurance because then they sent us a bill for $500--for the exact same line item as their $350. Despite dozens of emails and phone calls, they continue to send us a $500 bill and are now threatening "to send to collections" We've been working with the Mass AG and I've consulted a private lawyer. Our next step will be small claims against both them and the surgical practice at which point we will update here. This place is not remotely organized and I cannot recommend against them further. The support staff are absolutely, terrifyingly incompetent and stupid. The nurses all seem tired and disaffective. You'll never see a doctor there unless you're doing a big money procedure and then it might be sticky. Avoid. This is a $$-making venture with no regard for basic competence or decency. We've since started working with Dr. Huang and her team and it is night and day shockingly better. Competent and smart people that seem to genuinely care. read more

I strongly discourage anyone from going to Boston IVF. While the doctors are "qualified", I dont believe you get the actual help to navigate this complex, time sensitive journey. As a 42 yo, who may need some actual medical input and help to navigate fertility issues, this was not the place to waste a single minute. We have wasted a whole year with very little information, terrible communication and horribly frustrating experience. They are not there to help you through your journey. These are my reasons for why I do not recommend them: 1. We only spoke to the doctor one time. She said very little, and it was extremely difficult to get any information. We wanted to understand what our options are, how to plan both financially and mentally for this, but all you receive is a single plan. Its unclear what your options are or what this would mean for you. At the end, it didnt seem that they work with you to get you to your actual goal. 2. The nurses and technicians are good, but you can only contact them via voicemail. This is a terribly frustrating process, as some situations require a conversation to resolve matters , or navigate the process. Instead every single communication, was a voicemail. This was super frustrating as an on-going patient on an active cycle. 3. The emotional intelligence of most of this clinic is low. For e.g. in my first cycle, we could not proceed through the cycle due to a cyst that showed up. I just had a voicemail saying that we were not going to proceed, with no other information. I had to leave voicemails to get someone on the phone who could explain what had happened, on why there was a sudden change in plan. Considering the time sensitive nature of stopping a cycle, there was no support from the clinic. There is no one to explain what this means, or help you navigate it. Be ready for voicemails. 4. When a cycle fails, there is very little information on what my options really are, so I could make a decision for myself. This was the worst of all, as they just leave you stranded. 5. I think someone mentioned that the billing department was like a collection agency. Agree to that description 100%. I had to go back and forth, and get errors corrected and get all the numbers to line up. It definitely felt like a collection agency. Overall, they will run an IVF cycle. You will possibly speak to a doctor one time. You will have to get used to speaking via voicemails and getting sensitive emotional information via voicemails. The billing dept will hound you, and make you feel like you need to pay your dues to a collection agency. Perhaps this could still work for you but I really do hope you have a better experience than we did. Best wishes to you. read more

Here's an update. I took Boston IVF to small claims court and won. They didn't pay and didn't show up to a payment hearing in court. I sent an email to the leadership team at BIDMC who, amazingly, didn't respond. I then copied that email to the leadership team at Boston IVF and, a full 10 months after this ordeal began, got a call from their CFO with no apology, but with the promise of a check in the mail tomorrow. Both the staff at Boston IVF and Dr. DiGiralomo are awful. Dr. DiGiralomo is cruel and mean and I cannot believe she works at a place that claims to care about their patients- they do not. Dr. DiGiralomo made me cry when she said they would not go through IUI process with me because I'm too heavy- I have friends who are heavier than I am who had healthy babies with their husbands without having to go through such scrutiny. Also, Boston IVF is very deceitful and only care about the bottom line at this organization. I spent thousands there and found they were double charging me for things- and making me pay copay on things I found out my insurance did not even charge copay for- what did they do with my money. When I called to complain, they said the money was used for other labwork which I did have copay pay for- it's ridiculous because I paid the copay for that too. They ate my money!!! Worst experience ever! Unprofessional group of people who only want to take your money! Our doctor Dr. Luzzo never cared about us! We were just numbers! After the first treatment (which wasn't successful ) she already was talking about adoption! Come on!! The data and numbers never matched with what was on the paperwork! My wife had to call them at every treatment cause the medication wasn't enough! Unacceptable! Spent a lot of money for absolutely nothing! I'm so disappointed!!! read more

I been with Boston IVF for over two years with Dr. Alper and I have lost all hope I started this journey at 25 years old and they did nothing but waste my time and money !!!!!! This place makes you feel like your a lab rat and don't care about the patients at all The billing is a joke and have no sympathy at all!!! Sharon is so rude and teats you inhumanity And almost made us missed are FET when we sent a check that they claim never received and my husband had to drive 40 miles to bring cash !!!!!! That day not to miss are deadlines Back to my treatment... it took one year for them actually to do a Transfer they kept canceling them overdosing me on estradiol!!!!! That I bled so bad that I became anemic #2 on January 2021 I finally!!!! Did a FET that ended in Chemical pregnancy So we gave it one more try I told DR. Apler I wanted to transfer two Embryos and he decline may I say with absolutely no bedside matters at all!!!! To have yet again another chemical pregnancy's And I have not seen my doctor in over a year ..last time we spoke was in January when the first failed pregnancy happened .... shows you how much this place cares it's now April 2021 And when the Nurses calls to give you the horrible news they have no explanation and can't wait to hang up Don't even have the energy to write about the ultrasound and blood. Update: 07/09/2020 We had 2 insurances last year and did not know that the primary insurance should be the one through your work and not through your spouse. Boston IVF billing called us on Jun 10th saying on May 2020 BCBS took back part of the 2019 payments. United Healthcare (agreed to pay if Boston IVF would send them the claims. We had UHC customer service on the phone line asking Boston IVF billing for the claims to be sent to them for payment but the billing person at B.IVF said she will not send until UHC gives them in writing that they will pay the bills (before seeing it). The billing person said that she does not care that we have 2 insurances that we should personally pay the bills and she will not forward to the insurance co.. A month and half later they still did not send any bills or claims, saying that BCBS did not take back the funds just "created an AR". Called BCBS they said they took back the funds May 27th. They are taking their time..and am concerned as my understanding if the claim is over a year old the insurance might refuse to pay.. read more

There is nothing like honesty when it comes to a medical professional. Besides being told it was a life or death issue and I should hurry and get ivf which is crazy because I wasn't looking to get pregnant right away . They also told me four times that my lab tests would be covered by insurance . The doctor reassured me, patient care attendant , nurse and secretary. I have a large bill and was misinformed . Boston IVF please do better with your business administration. I would not write a I'll review if I did not see that it would benefit others to here my experience. Let me preface this by stating that this review has to do with their billing and business practices. The medical side is wonderful. Unfortunately, the billing department is SHADY. The billing department is atrocious. Shelly is rude, unprofessional and hangs up on customers looking to pay. Approximately three years ago Boston IVF mailed me the confidential financial records of nearly 50 other clients. For several months, the billing department, who made the mistake, refused to transfer me to a higher up. Once I navigated their system and spoke to a VP, I was promised free storage. I did not request thos. They sent the bill anyway and I paid. Then, the Bill's stopped coming until July of this year when I was contacted by email. I called.asking for a month by month itemized bill. I went to Waltham only to realize they had provided the wrong thing. So I called the billing department and the refused to print a month by month bill unless a payment was made. I was yelled at by Shelly and hung up on. Buyer beware- they will help you have a child but they are a NASTY company with little to no CRM experience. I have tried to reach out to the supervisor, Dan the CFO but to no avail. Interestingly, the collections company was able to provide the documentation as BostonIvf had given it to them. read more

Boston IVF is HORRIBLE!!!! WORST experience and customer service I've ever seen. I should've read prior reviews before choosing BostonIVF and how they treat you like just a number. It's all about the bottom line for them- they don't care about patients. I wanted to know in advance of getting bloodwork how they would bill- I called THREE times and was assured by different staff that my insurance covered everything and I would owe nothing. I wanted to be sure of what I would owe before deciding to move forward. However, without letting me know, they sent my blood to so many different labs for 22 different tests. My insurance charges $50 copay per visit but because they sent it to different labs, each was charged as a visit and I was charged $50 for each lab Boston IVF billed to. As a goodwill, I wrote a letter to Boston IVF, explaining the situation and asking to waive the last $125 copay charge I had with them (that's after all the other copays I paid and the $1000s my insurance paid). They called me back today saying they're not waiving it. They cost me over a $1000 in out-of-pocket expense by not informing about sending my bloodwork to so many labs and are still refusing and got so much money out of me and are still refusing to waive a mere $125. Please DO NOT choose Boston IVF- I'm sure you can find much better places that will actually treat you humanely and not try to screw you over. Oh and Dr. Digiralomo is heartless. read more

Did I get pregnant, yes. But every step of the way was painful, impersonal, and my husband was treated as the free sperm donor. Scheduling was a challenge. IVF is a timely matter. If you have a day job forget it. They run so many people through their operation that you best be ready to drop everything when they need to show up or answer the phone. They call you with instructions for the day and if you can't answer they leave vague messages, and it will take multiple calls to try and get them back if you have any questions. They will even call you and say "we need you at X clinic location tomorrow at X time for an ultrasound," and hang up. Again if you have a job, be sure to drop everything whenever they leave you a voicemail. Retrieval was a traumatic experience. They couldn't fgure out how to insert the IV. They made me wait until 4 pm for surgery (I had no schedulings once again). I couldn't have any water since midnight before. My veins had been stabbed daily for the previous 10 days for blood tests. With collapsed veins and no hydration they stuck me 8 times! Each attempt I could feel the vein collapsing with an excruiated sting (the estrogen prescription makes the pain worse). When I started to cry they told me to "stop crying." Then they say "in reality you could have had water up to 2 hours before, we just don't like to tell people that." Since the transfer I've been trying to get a copy of the results. They said they would email it and haven't. I've been trying for six weeks. I went in today for my first ultrasound to see the fetus. Due to Covid-19, they won't let my husband come with me. (For reference, all other hospitals and clinics in Boston allow 1 visitor by this time). I asked if I can FaceTime or video and they said no it's a "strict policy." I started crying telling them how hard, impersonal, and lonely this experience has been and how hard it is for me to even get documentation of my own medical records. They didn't care - they would barely let me even look at the ultrasound screen myself. When the nurse called me with the results she said "they should be able to let you FaceTime your husband; others have been doing that." To be fair, everyone is polite and I really like my doctor (Dr. Ryley). But the operation is unorganized and impersonal, and consistently treated my husband like we was just a sperm donor in the process. read more

They are big, rich and fancy. But they are technically horrible - the worst success record in all of Massachusetts. Here's how I found out: I had an appointment to have a semen sample analyzed. I scheduled it for 1.5 hours and they assured me that was not a problem - they have 3 rooms and they are never all full. 1. She tells me it is for 1/2 hour. I tell her it's supposed to be 1.5 hours. She: "Who said?" Me: (name of person who made the appointment) She: Oh, she's just in the lab. It's only 30 minutes. 2. She: "You don't need 1.5 hours." Me: Well, . . . It helps you to produce a larger sample. She: Sample size doesn't matter. Me: I once gave a sample too small to use. 3. Why does it take 1.5 hours? Me: Well, there's this thing you can do . . . Uhh . . . 4. Me: You're the 3rd person they've sent me to talk to today. Is this it? She: No, I'm not going to stay with you while you produce the sample. Me: (Think OMG!) 5. Me: Can you ask about the appointment length? She: You've got 30 minutes!!!! (stormed out of the room) I thought: Such a fancy place. She must not have anything to do with the procedure itself. Then I thought: What does the CDC ART Success Rates say? I looked. They are dead last in Massachusetts. And the difference between them and next to last is large. I looked up the owner/CEO. I found a statement. Believe it or not: "Our mission is to produce the best result for our investors and share-holders." LOL! But so sad. And # 1? Mass General Hospital - right in Boston. [We saw them and now have 2 embryos frozen.] Then the next day after my appointment, they called me and said the person who stormed out of the room complained about me. Oh really? I laugh. Great doctors and some amazing seasoned employees. Unfortunately the service and quality of front line crew you will deal with day to day has significantly decreased over the last 5 years I have been with BIVF. If I wasn't close to my last cycle with them I would absolutely switch to another clinic. My husband and I are so desperate to speak with someone that we're considering driving to one of your locations and not leaving until someone speaks with us. Our doctor is amazing, but the lack of communication with your nursing teams is unacceptable. I was recommended to go to Boston IVF for in depth testing of why I lost two otherwise healthy pregnancies (I have been officially diagnosed with incompetent cervix). I have gotten pregnant naturally twice. The doctor here falsely diagnosed me with PCOS (my primary OBGYN denies I have PCOS) and tried to sell me the idea of IVF even though I have gotten pregnant twice naturally. This place is nothing but a factory. You aren't a patient here, you're seen as a number. The doctor said a nurse would call me and it's literally been two months, still haven't gotten a call but they can save it. At the end of the day all they want is your pretty penny! read more

They do treat you like a number and want your money. They counted my chemical pregnancy as a success and added it to their statistics. When the nurse called to tell me I had the miscarriage, she could not wait to get off the phone. I had no explanation and wasn't able to speak to the dr for weeks after the miscarriage. My dr had no compassion at all and basically told me to stop trying. Also, when I had the egg retrieval; they accidentally cut me inside and I had to be stitched. I was bleeding a lot and when I had egg retrieval as a place in Ny, there was not one drop of blood. They just don't care, and the administrative assistant Lindsey is so rude and condescending.
