Breakfast sandwiches are one of my favorite foods, so when I find a good one, I get really excited. I was first introduced to the breakfast sandwiches at Bostwick Bakery in Rockford by my high school boyfriend. He didn't last, but I'm so glad that the breakfast sandwiches are still around! They're simple, but so good. You can get egg and cheese, and add bacon, ham, or sausage. The Plainfield location also has something called "The Jeff," which is a breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, bacon, ham, AND sausage. The sandwiches are pre-made, but every time I've gotten one, it's still warm and tasty. On my most recent visit, I got one with bacon, and Nate went with sausage. The breakfast sandwiches are made on soft rolls, which I love. They aren't sweet like brioche, and they're never stale or dry. The melty American cheese combined with the salty meat and fried egg is just so classic and delicious. They don't have any condiments on them, but they honestly don't need any. I prefer the bacon over the sausage, but both were very good. I've never gotten anything else at Bostwick Bakery. If you like a good, simple, classic breakfast sandwich, check them out.

This location has improved since its opening! They offer a great variety of donuts, from traditional cake and yeast donuts to fun variations of them. Apple fritters are my favorite and they offer many other flavors of fritters too, like an oreo, strawberry, raspberry, and bluberry. They also have other baked goods like bread and cookies for sale too. There are a few tables inside to dine as well if you want to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee with your donut or breakfast sandwich.

Another half dozen doughnuts. A couple favorites and a couple new ones to try. Had a lemon fritter and it was pretty good. Haven't eaten the peanut butter long John yet, but I'm pretty sure I'll like that one as well. A long John filled with peanut butter and topped with chocolate can't be wrong.

Stopped in for a quick snack. My girls each had a jumbo cookie and I grabbed an almond bear claw! So yummy & delicious. Nice little spot for a sweet tooth craving!

Stopped here on a Saturday morning. In the area for a football game. WOW!!!! I can't even say what I love the most. We had muffins, fritters, donuts, egg sandwich. Everything was fresh and SO good. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend this little bakery. We will take the 40 mins drive again to stop here.

No cream in the long john. When complained Makenzie (the girl working) said it was "overlooked" and offered no solution.

They have chocolates, bon bons, gelato, coffee drinks, and more. We ordered two of the cookie sandwiches, which we were told are made daily by a local pastry chef. The blueberry cookie was my favorite - it was soft and full of blueberries. The passionfruit one wasn't as flavorful. The buttercream frosting was super sweet, so we probably could have split one and been happy. I love that they have gelato flights! I didn't see any pricing posted for the treats when we visited, but the total was just over $10 for the two cookie sandwiches. They are handmade (vs. frozen and shipped in) so that makes sense. The employee helping us was super sweet and friendly, which I appreciated. The space is cute with ample seating to enjoy your treats, and they have an Instagrammable photo wall. I don't have a huge sweet tooth, so I don't see myself coming here too often, but it's a nice spot for a date or dessert.

I never realized that it's located so close to the movie theater and Meijer Gardens! I would absolutely stop over there before or after going to one of those. There's ample parking and it's within the general area of the movie theater. The spot itself has a good amount of seating and some of the coolest decor. There is a massive wooden art piece detailing history which is so fun to just sit and read. The staff was more than friendly and polite. They gave us some really helpful information and recommendations for drinks. We didn't end up eating any of the food but the honeycomb dessert looked incredible and my boss has said that the spinach pie is amazing. I really loved my strawberry matcha! Overall, everything was solid. The Qishr was good, though I think it could have used a bit more kick. Aside from that, the coffee was excellent and the rest of what we tried did not disappoint. I also had an organic mango juice, which was fresh (even though it came in a bottle) and really enjoyable.
