Found a piece of hair in my donut today. Wasn't happy about it and honestly, I expect better.

Celiac Foodie- I love pastries & Sandys provides GF options. A few items and they sell fast! In a small container on the counter, labeled and I love the muffins! The Raspberry Muffin was really good. Coffee is available too. A small shop but caters well to their customer needs. No health issues after my meal. Happy Dining!

My favorite donut shop ever. I moved out of state but my parents live down the street from here. So whenever I visit, we grab some donuts in the morning. They have a wide array of donuts, and my favorites are the apple fritters and maple roll with peanuts but anything there is good. I suggest getting there early to get what you want because they will sell out quickly on their busier days! There's seating inside, that was recently remodeled, to enjoy or grab a big box to bring home!

You guys. Do you know how Facebook suggests food pages to follow? Is it just to foodies? Is it me?! Am I the drama? Okay sorry TikTok reference. So anyways Facebook told me about this place and I've been in Michigan an entire couple of weeks and I landed in Grand Rapids for hospital orientation. Before I get there I saw that they posted on their Facebook so I was like well what are the odds that my orientation is close? Pretty dang good. The odds were in my favor! I walk in, everyone is masked, it's clean, the person greeted me super kindly. I tell them it's my first time there. I tell them I'm coming from Zeeland and that their social media is absolutely working for them and the manager maybe? Paige? Offered to meet me half way because I live in her way home. Girl! If I didn't just gain 35lbs during covid I would take you up on that! This is amazing customer service! The donuts: I got a peanut butter chocolate one that I don't think I took a picture of because I seriously ate it in the parking lot. It had a peanut butter frosting that was absolutely divine. I got 4 Grinch donuts for these kids. I got a blueberry looking roll that I also accidentally ate it was a snaccident y'all and then I got two powdered just in case someone wants one. $9. Nine bucks. Nine dollars. Go getcha some!!! If it were up to me I would leave that box of donuts in my car and just eat them myself. I'm not even messing around. These might be the best donuts I've ever had.

On the west side? Check this local doughnut shop out... Traditional long john and apple fritter are , and the options are plentiful. Staff is friendly and this is definitely a local-westsider morning meetup (old timey and family friendly). You won't be disappointed!

SneakyConorTV rates his fruity pebbles donut a 10/10 because it was the best donut ever! His little sister rates her chocolate frosted with pink sprinkles donut a 13/10 because it was so good it will bring us good luck (she is 4). Every time I stand in line to get these delicious treats for my family I revel in the joy they bring us with every bite. Served with a smile in a warm inviting atmosphere, this family owned donut shop is the best around.

SANDY'S DONUTS ⁣ ⁣ @sandysdonuts.gr is located on Leonard St NW, just a short drive from downtown GR! They have plenty of parking and plenty of sweet treats to choose from! ⁣

I live close to Sandy's Donuts and have heard great things, so my daughter and I had a little morning date there today. The shop itself is really quaint, cozy, and very dated (and I say that as a good thing in this situation!) There are hard yellow booths and a few tables for seating, the walls have wood paneling, and the decor is a bit like a blast from the past. This is very much a cute old school donut shop, and I love it! We got 2 cake donuts, one peanut and one with chocolate frosting and sprinkles. The donuts themselves were pretty good. They tasted fresh and moist which is always a plus! I'm guessing they made them fresh that morning. This is a good place for classic donuts. You won't find a whole lot of donuts here that scream "creative" or "different", but I think for this kind of shop that works. Very classic place. Will return!

I adore crab so ordering that was a no brainer. Their coffee is strong. It took a ton of cream to change the color... though it was delicious with free refills for $5. The omelette was heaven. All the flavors melded well and I appreciated the crisp acidic salad to cut the richness of the omelette. My only critique is wishing the crab salad topping was a bit more decadent. For $21 I was hoping for big lumps of crab rather than cool shredded mayo based salad. All in all, I love this place, I love the concept. It was quite busy and was thankful to snag a seat at the bar. The service was friendly and quick. Best hipster establishment I've patronized in a long time. Make a reservation if you have a group or pray there is a seat at the bar. The dirty martini was okay but I will definitely order something else next time as the olives just didn't hit for me. It's a quaint and quiet spot - you can read that as intimate - since it's not loud or rowdy, so if you want a really sweet date spot, feel free to check this one out! Otherwise, you can just go and have a casual, delicious dinner. Parking is limited with the street parking and it being so close to Monroe Center but you shouldn't have a terrible time finding something, even if requires a parking ramp vs street parking. I'd just recommend a reservation if you are going on a weekend or don't want to wait/sit at the bar!

It was a 45 minute wait today but my friend and I found seats at the bar and got coffee while we waited and we were able to order our food shortly after. Our waiter, Drew, was amazing and knew my friend from being a regular. He checked in on us frequently and made sure our coffee was full while we waited on the food. Since they were pretty slammed, our food took some time to come out but it was worth the wait. I tried the Jamaican jerk chicken frittata that my friend recommended and the spread was beautiful and it was delicious. If you like sweet and savory, this is the perfect dish with chicken and veggies in jerk sauce on top of frittata eggs topped with cheese and pineapple. Yum! The portion size covered the whole plate so I have leftovers for tomorrow! My friend got the steak and eggs and her gf got the hash Benedict. They both have been here before and I see why they went back. I will also be back soon! Other things to note is they have a shared parking lot so this is helpful if you don't want to do street parking. Also I would describe the ambiance as a higher-end diner with great service!

Different from the last time I was here but we were told to find a seat upon entering and that when we were ready, we could order our food at the counter. I looked over their menu and found lots of good breakfast taco options, the breakfast burrito I have heard is great, but what really caught my attention was the biscuits and gravy. I was feeling quite ravenous this morning and got the full order for $11 and a side of bacon. They had a table close to the entrance with extra menus, clean cups, water jugs, hot sauces, silverware and napkins. Seemed like a help-yourself vibe which I grabbed everything we would need for our meal. Our food was brought to us rather quickly and my bf ordered the breakfast bowl with scrambled eggs and sausage. He told me it tasted so good and he loved that he could make his own tacos with his food. He let me try one of the hashbrown rounds and it was perfectly crispy! My biscuits and gravy were phenomenal. The biscuits were so fresh and the gravy had a really nice and comforting flavor to it. You could get chorizo and mushrooms in your gravy but i went with a traditional sausage for my protein. My bacon on the side came in a tiny dish but I ate all four pieces haha. Once we finished, there were some bus bins under the same table with the silverware, we placed all our dirty dishes there and cleaned up after ourselves before leaving. I honestly felt so content leaving there and can't wait to return. I really appreciate the ambiance in there with the beautiful plant life, the lights on the ceiling, and cool decor in general. The staff was also SO NICE! Wins everywhere. I also noticed people coming in for takeout which is good to know in case I don't feel like dining in some morning.
