We called and it was easy to get an appointment right away. (Typically in the past, whenever we've tried calling places or doing walk ins, we've been told to call again in 30 min, or to come back in an hour) So it was a releif to be able to get an appt without any back and forth. Vanessa was really nice over the phone and mentioned the specials she had going on..$20 for an aura reading or $50 for and aura/chakra/angel card reading. The Store front is kind of hard to find, because there isn't much signage at the street level. It's on the third floor of the building, and you can see signage once you get to the front of the building and look up, but who looks up? :) Ater we arrived Vanessa explained the different readings to us and we both chose the aura/chakra/angel card reading combo. She has a little office where she does the reading, and she asked us if we wanted to leave the door open so we could hear each others readings. We both said yes, because we knew we'd be talking about it afterwards anyway :) I really liked that she gave us this option, only because in the past when i've had tarot cards read, I've been explicitily told that I should keep my reading to myself otherwise it'll mess up my path or what not..and then later find out that me and my friend were told similar things. We both felt that she was able to pick on some specific things that were dead on for both of us. And both of our readings were very different. We're both good friends, but also very different people. She suggested some additional services for both of us, and also suggested to meditate and focus on the chakra's she felt were off balance, and that we would see a difference in 3 days. She mentioned to my friend that if she purchased additional services and didn't see results, she would give her a refund. The impression I got from her was that she is the type of healer that wants to help you and set you free, rather than keep you addicted to her guideance. Would I go back? Definitely if I coudl afford it, or if she could arrange some type of sliding scale.

About 10 mins into the reading she told me there was a block & she wanted to "look into" the problem for $650. Which obviously turned me off. It started to feel like a complete scam. I also want to note that I've seen a fair share of psychics and mediums in the past and have had great experiences without feeling this way. Obviously I declined her offer but she continued to press & threw out random amounts hoping I'd agreed to paying an additional amount. It felt very intrusive & ruined the entire reading for me. she ended the reading quite abruptly after I declined and pretty much chased me out the door after I venmoed her for the reading. It wasn't until I was leaving that I noticed the reading only lasted about 15 minutes instead of 30 mins. I don't doubt her talents but the entire experience felt off putting. I would've been a return customer if it weren't for her hard sell halfway into my reading. I'm hoping it was maybe just an off day for her but regardless, that should never be how a reading goes for a first time customer.
