Then comes that roasted tomato sauce, rich and a little smoky, hanging out in the backround, waiting patiently to be introduced to the potatoes. And just when you think you've got it figured out, along drifts the aioli--cool, creamy, and smooth-talking--balancing the whole thing out like a charm. The albondigas might look like your standard meatballs at first glance, but don't let 'em fool you--they've got a little mischief tucked inside. Light as a whisper (seriously, how are they this fluffy?), they practically melt the moment you give 'em a nudge with your fork. They're lounging in a rich marinara that's got that slow-simmered, "somebody's nonna would approve" kind of depth, while a snowfall of parmesan settles on top like it knew exactly where it belonged all along. And onto the jackfruit barbacoa tacos, they roll in like they've got a story to tell--slow-simmered, deeply seasoned, and just a little unexpected. The jackfruit pulls apart in tender, saucy strands that swear they used to be something else, soaking up all that bold, smoky barbacoa flavor like it was born for the job. Then comes that grilled pineapple-jalapeño salsa--sweet, smoky, and just spicy enough to keep you on your toes. It's a little tropical, a little fiery, and entirely too charming for its own good. Just when things start heating up, the cilantro lime crema slides in smooth and cool, like it's here to keep the peace. However, the menu description for the charcuterie board is MAJORLY misleading. The menu clearly states cheese AND meat for $14. However, when we got the bill, we were stuck with a $26 charge and told it's cause we ordered meat and cheese. The staff did not tell us it would be double the price when we ordered, so we had no idea until we cashed out. This put a bit of a damper on what was otherwise a nice visit. The establishment needs to be much more descriptive on the actual pricing and that it's meat OR cheese. Edit to add: I figured out that the discrepancy is due to the QR code menus inside the restaurant. When you scan the code, it takes you to a menu where it is clearly listing the charcuterie board as $14, whereas on their website, the board is listed at $26. The QR code menu needs to be updated to eliminate confusion (and less than ideal experiences) for customers. Also, my original review accidentally cited the location as the Renaissance, but this restaurant is attached to the Residence Inn rooftop.

Smoke and dagger does not taste the same. Looks similar but some elements missing. Drinks feel like it was not shaken enough. Drink was very sour without balance. Just was not the same. Came in a smoke box like before. Brought family members after bragging about this place and had not much to say. Espresso martini was very bitter. Service: the lady that served us not personable. Maybe she was not having a good. The place I was looking so much forward to end up in disappointment.

They no longer serve food like they did in their old location. Essentially this is like the Architect 2.0. I don't think they changed anything from the previous ownership. Even the Green Light bar is still there. If you want some expensive cocktails in a nice atmosphere, this is as good as any other cocktail bar in downtown Raleigh.
