I went here with my boyfriend and his family as they were visiting town and thought to try it out due to the reviews and have to say I am slightly disappointed. Small portions for ridiculous pricing, we ordered the charcuterie board which was said to come with cornichons and grilled peaches, both of which were missing (the peaches we had were not grilled) on our board. We mentioned it to our waitress and she said they might have been out and she was going to go check, nope not out just forgotten. She came back with a small bowl of the cornichons and grilled peaches, if you're selling something make sure everything you talk about is going to be served the way it's described. Okay that aside, the smash burger my boyfriend had was great but the salmon... genuinely terrible. I love salmon and all fish honestly but it was just not cooked well, it tasted like it had been boiled or something it was soggy and had such a spoiled smell I was having trouble eating it because of how it smelled. I didn't feel like saying yet another thing about the meal to the waitress so I just left it at that but it was not a pleasant experience to say the least. Cocktail drinks and fries were the best things. We didn't enjoy our entrees: vodka pasta and mrkt fish (salmon). They both were flavorless and bland. As mentioned earlier, we did enjoy the fries. They came with a garlic aioli sauce. It tasted like mayo to me, I didn't like it. We ordered a passion fruit mojito and henny sidecar. Both were good! Our views were okay but not like other pictures we saw prior to going. We sat closer to the jail next door so we saw inmates in there cell starting out onto the city. read more

Urban Oak is a nice little oasis rooftop with nice city views, in ans outdoor seating and a huge square bar. Nice ambiance, music, vibes. Perfect for small or large groups. Service was timely and attentive from staff. We had rounds ans rounds of champagne, and it was a nice chilled evening. Minimal noise level. I also had the lamb meatball which I felt like were a bit over cooked so they tunes out hard and rubbery. Luckily, it didn't sway my opinion of my experience. Next time I'll have to pop in for a solid meal to see how that goes. Would recommend, would go again. read more

Food menu was smaller than expected. I had ordered the lamb meatballs but they were extremely salty so I sent them back. The dip duo was good. The chicken thighs were basic small pieces of fried chicken thighs. I wouldn't recommend the food if you are really hungry. This is more of a small plate snack type of food and let's have some great drinks. Now the drinks stole the show. Sorry I don't have any pics of them. They were delicious. The prices were average for downtown. The rooftop was amazing. It has 2 sides with lots of room. Nice couches as well. Our waiter was amazing. The tip was already included and we even added extra. First, I want to give a special shout out to the staff! They were so incredibly friendly, helpful in explaining the menu and checking back frequently. I attended as apart of a Yelp event and had a lovely time with the other Yelpers in attendance. The dishes were flavorful but the standout for me was the rigatoni + the dessert and the amazing decor. I had the pleasure of being treated here for my birthday. The restaurant was beautiful. Urban Oak is located at the top of new beautiful Tempo Hotel. I enjoyed the experience. Our server was extremely attentive and even made a few suggestions. The spicy lamb meatballs were delicious. The watermelon salad was a hit for a nice summer day. Very refreshing. I also enjoyed the crispy chicken thighs and rigatoni pasta. My Moscow mule and sangria were great tasting cocktails for this day hanging out on the rooftop. Everything was very good. We enjoyed gorgeous outdoor seating on the patio during our business dinner. I wish I had taken photos of the views as they were stunning. We shared a variety of small plates and a couple of large plates. The only plate I didn't get a photo of was the rigatoni. All of our food and cocktails were fantastic. Came here on a Saturday night and the we decided on a inside lounge table. Decor is very nice and sets up a great atmosphere. We were just going to have a few drinks, appetizers and enjoy the view but it ended up having dinner and it didn't disappoint. It's a simple menu and they execute it very well. I had salami with fried crackers and figs....yes fried crackers and they were really good. The ribeye and rigatoni were on point and delicious. Along with the great food was our fantastic server. Kyah was so attentive and friendly. Truly made the dining experience special. The outside tables have views to the north south and east but the west sunset view is limited. That's probably the only con. Definitely got this one on the go to list. read more

Giving this place some grace since they just opened but went to have some drinks with some girlfriends and they had to check IDs at the front - I accidentally left mine behind not even thinking to bring it, I told them I wouldn't be drinking anyways just hanging out but they wouldn't let me past the host stand do that so I had to go all the way back to car to get my ID. Then, when we were trying to order drinks we approached the bar and were redirected several times, went to the place at the bar they told us and they said they couldn't make the drinks and that they made drinks for our friends by accident and weren't supposed to. We ended up ordering from the hostess at the bar who I noticed also made our drinks. After finally getting our drinks we try to figure out where to sit and even though many tables are open on the patio there was a 40 min wait. The vibe and decor were beautiful and upscale, reminiscent of a big city spot for drinks but they should consider keeping a section on tables on the patio for walkins to let folks get a chance to enjoy that area and then they should really simplify ordering drinks. I haven't been to a bar where if you walked up to it they couldn't take your order. I'll try again in a few months but this is what happens when something fancy comes to town, they over complicate the process and then the hype fades and next thing you know it closes. I hope that's not the case for this place, it has a lot of potential. Overall drinks were good, decently priced and again the vibe/decor were on point - service just needs some work. read more

Thought the sangria was refreshing and tasty, and then we shared the bread, patatas, corn fritters, meatballs and tuna. Surprisingly the bread was the star of the show, grainy, buttery soft bread awesomeness. Other apps were all good but meatballs were a bit dry. Def would go back again. The cocktails were so well crafted and they had such a variety of different flares to each individual cocktail!!! I saved the best for last ..... The service was spot on !!!!
