I have always loved Manolo ever since my days in Rio de Janeiro, which is why it's difficult for me to write this review. Unfortunately, my experience today was very disappointing. After we placed our order, our waitress seemed to forget about us, and the service was not what I have come to expect from Manolo. The portions also appear to have become noticeably smaller, while the prices have increased significantly. Be prepared to spend around $100 per person. I truly hope Manolo brings back the quality, portions, and service that made it a favorite of mine for so many years. read more

Uber only pays $1 to $2 per trip, and the rest comes from tips, which usually start at $1--though customers typically leave $3 or sometimes a little more. Just like servers, Uber drivers survive on tips, not on what the company pays us. That is why it is completely unacceptable to arrive for an order that is supposed to be ready (or at least not delayed) and have to wait for over 30 minutes, sometimes even longer. When you add the time spent navigating traffic, you end up earning only $5 to $8 an hour. It is a complete lack of respect and empathy toward our time and work. read more

Got this recommendation from a lady at the First Baptist Brazilian Church. The place has a great atmosphere with live music. The menu was a bit confusing with the halve circle and full circle. But the halve circle is for 2 people to share, and the full circle for 4 to share. The portions are generous and our dish for 2 could easily satisfy 3 grown men. We visited this place on our trip down to Boca Raton, and as Brazilians we absolutely loved it. The ribs were absolutely phenomenal, as were all the sides, the bolinhos in our appetizers, and our juices. The ambiance as always was great, we sat on one of their outdoor tables and had a fantastic time, but inside there was live music and seemed very festive as well. Our waiter was nice. Price is not cheap, but the big catch is the amount of food they serve, which AL THE TIME, includes old rice and beans...The main reason I wanted to try again was to give a chance to BOTECO, but, myself as a cook, there is no way you eat the so called "PICANHA", which is really "CONTRA-FILE"...acceptable, bit, when you have OLD beans and rice being served, besides a muchy YUCA, no, that does not cut...there are many other small Brazilian restaurants that do a much better job. But, of course, if you are in for the ambience, fine, have a drink, see people and eat under quality food for a higher price...way to go Boteco. You got this... read more

We came here yesterday after leaving the Renaissance Festival, and it was phenomenal. The place is beautifully decorated, and the staff is friendly from the moment you walk through the door. Our server, Felipe, provided amazing suggestions and even shared information about their different locations. As for the food, we ordered the top sirloin combo meal, which included sirloin, pork, chicken, sausage, chicharrones, white rice, black beans, pico de gallo, and yuca fries, and everything was delicious. All the meats were cooked to perfection, and the pico de gallo tasted so fresh. The portion was huge; we both ate a lot and still had leftovers. Came by last night with the family to celebrate my brother's birthday to BDM&M as per his request. We were seated immediately as we came in the first thing I noticed was it was a beautiful restaurant and extremely clean. Being a Tuesday we didn't expect it to be as packed as it was. We realized this is going to be a fun experience, especially as most of the clientele spoke Portuguese. Our server, J B was the best. The menu is extensive and took a while to go over . We finally decided to go with the fried chicken chunks as an appetizer and they were excellent. Next, we went with the Pecanha steak dinner for four which included rice beans, scrambled eggs, french fries, and eight Pecanha steaks ! The flavors were excellent and cooked exactly as we requested, which was half of them being done, medium, and the other half medium medium rare. We were surprised to find out that they also had live music on Tuesdays . All in all, we had an excellent meal with great service, and yes, we will definitely be back! Estive recentemente no Boteco do Manolo com a expectativa de uma agradável experiência gastronômica, mas, infelizmente, saí bastante desapontado. A qualidade dos pratos deixou muito a desejar. A picanha e as demais carnes estavam extremamente duras e sem o padrão mínimo que se espera de uma casa especializada. Para agravar ainda mais a situação, encontrei uma mosca morta na salada, o que comprometeu de forma séria a confiança e o bem-estar durante a refeição. Registro esse episódio com a devida imagem anexa. No entanto, o que mais me causou indignação foi a cobrança automática de 18% de gratuity (US$29.81) sob a justificativa de que seria uma exigência legal do Estado da Flórida. Isso não corresponde à verdade. A legislação estadual da Flórida, conforme a proposta HB 545, reforça que a gorjeta é opcional e que, mesmo em grupos maiores, sua cobrança não pode ser imposta como obrigatória, devendo sempre refletir a real satisfação do cliente com o serviço recebido. Being in Florida, you can always expect the best local latin cuisines in the US, but this one blew me away. This was the first non-traditional Brazilian steakhouse I've been to, and the service was amazing. Most of the staff is from Brazil, and they welcome anyone who walks in the door. My server Edmilson, is amazing, highly recommend you have him take care of you. Their Picanha is perfectly cooked, and accompanying side dishes are delicious, I strongly recommend everyone to come here, I also urge everyone to try the Short Rib Empanadas and the Caipirinha! Good Lord, I was glad I was dragged to this place. Brazilian restaurants operate a little bit differently. I paid approximately $52 for steak that came with some sides, but it also fed two people. It came out to $26 per person plus a tip. The steak was cooked exactly the way I liked it, and my girlfriend's steak was cooked exactly the way she liked it. I honestly can't wait to go back there again. I highly recommend this place. This place was recommended by a friend at work. I took my husband today for his birthday. We told the waiter we wanted the steak medium well..it arrived well done. We ate some of it and then told the waiter that we requested it medium well and when they took it back and brought it back to the table it was medium rare. We had rice, beans and yuca with it. Our waiter was okay, we had to request more water as well as the check after waiting some time for it. I'll start by saying I'm an American native who prefers to eat on a low budget. I've been to Checkers and ABC Chinese Restaurant in the Trail Plaza Shopping Center. I've noticed many customers dining outdoors at this restaurant, proving its popular. Last Saturday afternoon, I drove into the Plaza towards ABC Chinese to order a lunch special to go. At the last second, I decided to steer towards Boteco instead. I didn't notice my first red flag: there's no menu in the window. Therefore, it's one of those places where "you can't afford it if you have to ask for the cost." Second was my mistaken belief that this is a Spanish restaurant when it's Brazilian. I know some Spanish but little Portuguese. The hostess was pleasant. She said I could seat myself at the bar if I wished. Unfortunately, the bartender was the stereotypical rude type to cover for his lack of English. He also gave me the stereotypical bartender frown when I ordered a soda rather than from the separate alcohol menu he had handed me. Many restaurants have a lunch menu cheaper than dinner but not this place. The average entree seems to cost around $35! I had to use the flashlight on my phone to read the menu due to the dark bar ambiance. I couldn't understand much of the menu. The bartender was helpful in explaining that the rice dishes are intended for sharing by parties of two or four. I managed to find and order one of the cheapest entrees: short rib empanadas. The empanadas tasted good. The bartender took his sweet time to cash me out. He and his fellow bartender were not that busy at noontime there. They appeared to me to be doing prep work. The restaurant had a decent number of customers already, including one or two families with kids. I was surprised that a family-friendly restaurant was so expensive. Obviously, it's my problem, not their problem, since the restaurant attracts many people. I could see taking a date there. Otherwise, it's not for me. read more

I particularly like the Picanha, after all that's the famous Brazilian cut! This time I also tried their truffle rice which was a creamy rice, think more towards risoto then your "regular" rice. Very nice place, I live across the street from the place and it's very convenient for a night out dinner. Had 3 experiences with the food and as a Brazilian who likes to cook, they're doing good. First two times was amazing, last time, the meat needed some more seasoning. But nothing that would keep me from ordering again. Two records were broke with one drink, the most expensive drink I have ever paid for and the worst drink I've ever had. I went at two different times: at lunch with an American friend and they presented this menu so she could understand Brazilian food. I thought it was cool and polite!
