Several Caveats: 1) There are no written menus. Only way to access the menu is to scan a QR code. I hate this. My suggestion review the menu on their website first. 2) Parking a real issue. We were lucky with a handicapped sticker. 3) Venue quite loud if full. Concrete walls, low ceiling. 4) The steaks on the Malbec platters were of low quality and arrived luke warm. I suspect they were precooked and waiting for an order. Having said all that the service helpful and friendly. Prices moderate. Not fine dining! I see no reason to return. So after reading all these mixed reviews we didn't know what to expect. But they say you need to see it for yourself and we are glad we did. The house salad was excellent with feta cheese we did the $40 Mon - Wed special for two. We ordered 2 glasses of the house Malbec which paired perfectly with our meal. We both had the churrasco which was excellent. We added a side order of the Argentinian sausage which was excellent. The steak comes with delicious mashed potatoes and we finished our meal with the Tiramisu. Our server Ryan was friendly, helpful and attentive. My husband and I came here because they offer a really great dinner special Monday-Wednesday. For $40 you get an appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert. Additionally on Monday's they have 1/2 off wine bottles. The restaurant itself is great for date night. They have phenomenal service with the loveliest waiters and servers. The food needs work. The meatballs have more breadcrumbs than I'd prefer. While the steaks were cooked perfectly, they had zero flavor. Same with the French fries and mashed potatoes. I also believe that the potatoes may have sat too long in the boiling water as they were very watery and bland. Thankfully, they make a delicious chimichurri so we were able to use that to accompany our steaks. The cheesecake was okay. This place was cute inside. The bar is right in the front and was very busy and loud. The actual dining room was quieter but still pretty busy for a Thursday evening. For drinks my partner tried a the Italian affair and some other cocktail. They ended up being very strong. I tried one of the wines from Argentina and it was great. The food was pretty good, although pretty bland. I asked for more of the chimmichuri that they gave with the bread to add to my steak, which helped. The fioccchi di pera was ok, I've had much better, so I wouldn't get it again. For dessert we tried the balcarce which was very good but very sweet. I recommend it if you want to try something authentic and different. We did wish it had more peaches as there was maybe one piece in ours. If we are ever in town again I would return. read more

Restaurant #2 has mediocre appetizers, e.g., dry meatballs and overcooked shrimp and calamari, along with very slow service regarding getting drinks and dessert. I took some very picky ladies there for the lunch special and there wasn't one complaint. In fact, they loved it. They got Caesar salads and house salads and they were huge and very fresh. The lettuce in both was glistening and outstanding. The rolls were hot and freshly made and they enjoyed the chimichurri for dipping. They all got the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp scampi and everyone had leftovers. I got the arugula salad with steak and the fried egg and avocado - that's my usual and I love it. We first went to Malbec Grill on 3/5/2021 and found it wonderful. The atmosphere was nice, it was a fine restaurant. The food was delicious and the service even better. The owner came to the table and thanked us for coming, and even gave us 2 gift cards to return. We were so impressed we even bought the steak knives. We have been back 4 or 5 times since and this past spring we took advantage of the 2 for 40.00 special which was ok but a little rushed. Last night we went hoping to have a nice meal and night out. But Malbec Grill had different plans for us. We arrived at 6:15 as per our reservation and were seated right away. There were only, maybe, 4-6 tables occupied. The waiter pointed to the QR code on the table for the menu. We asked for a printed menu. He told us they don't have one and we must use our phones. Sort of like a McDonalds take out order. Classy! I was surprised they also no longer have table cloths and linen napkins. Paper will have to do! We ordered a glass of wine and started to read our phone menus. When our drinks and two pieces of bread arrived, we were asked what we wanted. We said we will start with the Provoleta. We waiter said we could order the rest of the meal and he wouldn't put it in since we did not want to be rushed. We added a wedge salad, skirt steak and surf and turf. Like magic 2-3 minutes later the server is standing there with both the Provoleta and salad. Ok I guess we will have them together. But we could use another 2 pieces of bread. The Provoleta was delicious and the salad was also good. The real problem arose when we were just getting into the cheese and salad, Our steak and surf and turf showed up! We told them to take it away we were not ready. I myself was 100% done at that point. They asked if they could box it up. Really? Are you kidding me? A nice medium rare steak in a box to "enjoy" later. We asked for the check for what we had eaten and said we were leaving. The manager came over and asked what they could do. Nothing anymore! Bottom line. Our evening out was way less time than it took to write this. We sat down at 6:15 and were back in the car at 6:35! 20 minutes start to finish. Never again. read more

My family and I visited Malbec Grill in Parkland, and while the food itself was good, the overall experience definitely fell short. When we first arrived, we had to wait over three minutes just to be acknowledged--despite being the only customers there. A heavyset man with glasses sat in the corner watching us, and only approached after my husband asked the kitchen staff if we could sit down. His first question was whether we wanted to sit at the bar... even though I was literally holding my one-year-old. The menu looked great, so we ordered a ribeye, a steak salad, a kids grilled chicken meal with fries, an espresso martini, and a cucumber martini. We were also supposed to get a kids apple juice that never arrived. One of my biggest pet peeves happened when the server placed a hot plate of mashed potatoes directly in front of my toddler--even though the dish was for my husband on the opposite side of the table. Common sense should prevent servers from putting hot items near small children, especially when the table layout clearly shows who ordered what. When the drinks came, they looked nothing like the photos on the menu, which was disappointing because I wanted to get content for Instagram. But to be fair, the drinks themselves were delicious. My husband ordered his ribeye well-done (which I tell him not to do!), and it definitely came out well-done--it was charred to the point we had to laugh about it. Oddly enough, both of our meals came out before my son's chicken and fries, which are usually the quickest items to prepare. Throughout the meal, I had to ask for our used plates to be cleared because they were piling up.
