Everytime I have ordered takeout from this restaurant (off doordash, uber) the food literally came sour, or not fresh. You can tell some things were fried or microwaved multiple times. Recently i ordered the tropeiro beans with steak and plantains, french fries & farofa. The beans smelt and tasted VERY sour, not like lime was squeezed on but more like the taste sour milk would have. Plantains were so greasy and completely black like they were fried over and over again bc it was sitting around from previous days. Fries were also bland and greasy. Nothing was good quality and this has happened on several occasions. We gave them a couple chances because its close to where we live and delivery is fast, but we remain disappointed, the steak also tasted like it was sitting out and warm for a while before it was cooked, just not good flavor. We couldnt eat any of it after the first bite and had to throw it out. I believe they use old leftovers for delivery orders. read more

I like the people who work there, Talita is fabulous and treated us with such kindness. I also really love the food. However, I do not recommend dining there during bingo night. There were not that many people in the restaurant on a Sunday evening, and the MC who was running the bingo show was shouting at the top of his lungs while announcing the numbers over a microphone. That's absolutely not necessary and unacceptable, since there weren't many people in the restaurant. We had to leave and pack our food to go because it was giving us headaches. The Carnaval have long left at Aroz con feijao. I am disappointed at the restaurant service and sadly their food quality. My wife and I have been here quite few times in the past - when we travel to Fort Lauderdale and drive up to Pompano Beach to eat here. They had traditional Brazilian dishes by Al La Cart and by kilo. Our most recent trip here was very disappointing because their food quality is just not up to par as we experienced the last few times here. My wife ordered Risoto de camarao and I ordered the file acebolado. my steak was suppose to be medium well but was well done overly coooked and tough to chew. The risoto de camarao shrimp was surprisingly soft and tender. though the ressoto was very mushy and not creamy. I am not sure if this was the post pandemic impact or their customer base has changed, or their chef(s) are going through changes. We got take out, so this review is only about the food. Over the past several years, our visits to South Florida always included at least one meal here. There used to be quite a variety of grilled meat. Not any more. Now there is only steak and sausage. I had to ask if the grill was open because I couldn't tell just by looking at it The food had a nice flavor except it was very very salty. In fact the DH could not eat his beans because they were too salty Do not eat here if your doctor has restricted your sodium intake. We will not be back. This place is one of my favorites because it's the no frills Brazilian restaurant that you pay what you eat. The food is fresh the service is fine. Please take note that the bill already has the tip included. Just in case so you don't over do it on the tip side. I was scammed with the tip. The food is not as good as other Brazilian restaurant I have been to like Steak Brazil Miami; the ambience has the appeal of a rundown 90's club. We go to this business because it's closer and convenient and it's not my first rodeo so I know what to expect when I go. The last time we went we bought the $8.50 per pound option. The meat was not savory, kind of chewy and they only have 2 choices costela and picanha the rice and other buffet items were cold. I ordered a caipirinha against my good judgment and It was overpowered by the cachaça. We were already bumped down by the whole situation. We ask for the check and as always, regardless the amount of patrons they charged 15% tip... $5.14 tip on a 34.00 bill. For me it's ok since I normally leave always at least a 10% tip regardless the service and food because I understand the waiters are underpaid. Apparently it was not enough with the $5.14. They overcharged my credit card with an additional $4.75 for a total of the $9.89 tip, approximately 30% tip... For terrible food and service. They won't have my business again. read more

Gosh, why don't they have a similar place in Miami??? We didn't drive all the way for food, but in the future, whenever we are in the neighborhood, this will well be our place to go! it's right off I-95, and with a huge Brazilian flag on the sign very easy to find. When I read on Yelp that it's by-the-pound, I imagined the place to be more spartan and fast-foodly, so I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. They have three stations. One is the salad bar, with chunks of fruit, pasta salad, greens, shredded carrots and more. There is something that looks like corn salad with shoestring fries on top. On the left is rice and beans, and a few hot dishes like chicken heart, some beef stew and lasagna. Then there is the meat station. The beef ribs is juicy and flavorful. The sausage a bit dry (but we went at around 3 so it could be sitting out). We got several pieces of picanha. One was too salty, one was too bland, but overall pretty good. The quality of meat is better than those cheap buffets like The Knife or Camilla's. The price is $6.95 a lb. For my plate it came to about $6, my husband went for seconds, and paid about $12. What an excellent deal!! I love how we can just get what we want. I heaped on a good side of greens, so for me it's much healthier than ordering a la carte. And we didn't stuff ourselves like we do when we have to pay $50 at those fancy churrascarias. read more

I was hoping for Beyoncé, and I got Brüno in drag. First, the guy who cuts the meat, tall bald guy, is to churrasco what Sweeney Todd was to the barber biz. His cutting board is nasty dirty. His meat that is done should be away from the flame. Some poor lamb gave its life to be a hunk of dead dry grey stuff that was passing for meat. Most of the meat was over-seasoned. The chicken, dark meat all, was so dry that had he bleached it, it might have passed for overcooked white meat. Even the door handle was sticky greasy nasty as you opened it. Not a plus. If cleanliness is next to godliness, then these folks better do a whole lot more prayin' and cleaning, and painting. and maybe stripping down those overpainted front windows to make it look a bit more like a restaurant. I have been a customer of this restaurant for 10+ years. The dishes are as authentic as it can get. Me and my guest both eat steak well done and they cooked the Picanha steak perfectly well done and the steak was not dry. My ultimate favorite is the Farofa which is really why I visit their establishment. You can taste every flavor of the Farofa from the collard green to bacon. The menu states Dinner for 2 but it can feed about 3-4 people. It's a perfect setting for couples and families. Their dessert, flan is a must try. Having lived in Brasil, I take advantage any time I find Brazilian food, especially when it's this good. We chose to forego the buffet, though it looked amazing, and went for the picanha grelhada (grilled picanha steak). We ordered this for 2, which meant getting 4 fillets, 2 per person. They were seasoned and grilled exactly how I like them, with nothing more than rock salt to temper the meat. Delicious. Accompanied by a large platter of fried yuca, plantains, rice, black beans, vinagrette (sort of like pico de gallo, but with vinegar) etc. The service was great, we were well taken care of and never left waiting for anything. I will be back any time I am in the area...which, sadly, is not close by. read more

Based on the reviews of this place, I was really looking forward to trying the food here. The food was very good, but I'm not sure I would come back. I hate to say it, but ambience does affect my experience and this place was just too bare. It felt as though some thought went into the bar area, but then the dining area just looked like the setup in a church basement. If the food had blown my mind, I would have been able to overlook it, but it was just good. Also, the service was not good at all. There were two servers and, from what I can tell, the hostess station is in the back corner of the restaurant, so we were confused when we walked in and just sat ourselves. Then waited until we made eye contact with a server to place our drink order. It was harder than you might think since the servers were either busy chatting with each other or flirting with the bar patrons. They were friendly enough when we placed orders, but they seemed more interested in their own lives than our service. Again, I was really stoked to try this place based on the reviews, but for me, the food just wasn't good enough to overcome the bad space and poor service. Bummer. read more

Food reflects all the goodies you would find there in authentic homemade style. It is a REALLY simple restaurant, just like one of the many you would find in Brazil. Guy carving really didn't care when we told him but moved a skewer to a warmer spot once on the next go round. Service was lacking. Although drinks were refilled when asked, we were never asked if everything was ok or if we needed anything. The one positive note is that drinks were not lacking in alcohol. Growing up in Brazil, I pretty much ate everything they have to offer here. Since relocating to Florida, me and my family longed to find a taste of home, which we found through our own cooking but never in a restaurant until we found out about this place. This had everything I could dream of from back in the day: rice, beans (brown AND black!,) fried yucca, farofa, and my all-time favorite, chicken hearts! The only gripe I have is that their attempt at feijoada on Saturdays (a tradition for many Brazilians restaurants) is somewhat lame. I'd rather they focus on a good feijoada on Saturdays than just the plain-old stuff of everyday. To top it off, there is a carving station where you can get short ribs, and a few other cuts of meat, which are available on a first-come, first-serve basis so when it's gone it's gone. I had someone grab the last beef rib right in front of me one time. I have never ventured to the salad bar but it usually looks fresh. Don't forget to top off your mound of food with a little malagueta sauce but not too much, it's really HOT. The dinner service is disappointing compared to lunch. There is no carving station and the food never tastes as fresh as the lunch service. As Matt R. stated, it's per pound so don't think you can gorge yourself over and over. A friend took my daughter and I here for lunch. We would never have found this place on our own and would have continued to go to Texas de Brazil. Pleasantly surprised. A bit fewer food choices that I would expect of a place this size. Unfortunately, as a low carb person many of the rice and bean choices are not an option. I do love rice and beans but just not these days. I found picking food a bit challenging as many of the hot bar items do not have names, and those that do have tags are in Portuguese. I grabbed a few sausage, cheese and a piece of chicken. The carving station had awesome "steak" but I am not sure which of the three choices I had - it was well done, salted, and crispy! I stole a piece of chicken wrapped in bacon that was way overdone. I was not thrilled with the cookies from the bakery. I love cookies and will break keto at times for them, but these were not that good. Also we were very confused by the pricing, paying, and having your food weighed process. Being situated in a shopping center dominated by Brazilian flags and Portuguese banners, I had confidence in the authenticity of this hidden gem that I had driven past so many times. During lunch hours, the restaurant sports a buffet which is NOT "all you can eat;" They charge by the pound. The buffet included familiar items such as sausage, farofa, rice, and beans. The rest was unknown to me but they did have a chicken dish that resembled a lasagna and chicken hearts that I didn't try. There was also a salad bar as well as the real main event: the meats. The guy at the front of the buffet carved slices of lamb, beef, and pork from roasts housed in a giant warmer. You can also request other meats from a window including fish and sirloin.
