This is a review I wrote near the end of 2015. John Monahan helped me 15 years ago with some chronic back issues and I remember how much I had appreciated his willingness to challenge me to work through it. I did. In April (2015) I was in an accident and broke the neck of my femur (hip). I had emergency surgery and was terrified at what might happen to my life. While older (65), I am a life-long runner and have always been in great shape. The day my orthopedic cleared me to start physical therapy I literally drove from Bellevue to Bothell to see if John would help me again. I hobbled in on two crutches feeling very sorry for myself. His front office team was awesome; they greeted me with welcoming smiles. John even took a moment to come grab me and welcome me back; he told me he could help me. For the next five months I was a 'regular' at the clinic and worked with John and Carolyn. What I appreciate the most about the two of them, is that they both seemed to be so similiar in life-style (athletic and active) AND in approach (I asked to be pushed and they did exactly that). Both told me that I would walk again ... and they were right. I graduated from two crutches to one; from one crutch to a cane; from a cane to nothing. I rode my bike again; I played golf and walked 18 holes again; and am now back starting to do some jogging ... something I thought might never happen again. I am grateful for the treatment I received from everyone ... including other PT's who were encouraging and staff who always had my well-being at heart. I will soon return in January to Quality Care and ask John and Carolyn to push me hard again ... I think I can actually get from 95% to 100%. It is so reassuring to know that their team will do exactly that. What a great crew! And I know the tone is set at the top ... John, you have much to be proud of. Writing this review is one small way I can say 'thank you' for all that you, and your team, have done to make my life better. It is now May, 2016 and I have returned to Quality Care for the past four months to continue to strengthen my left leg. It is worth noting that a year ago, when I broke my hip, I was told I likely not run again ever. Two weeks ago was exactly the one year anniversary and I celebrated it by running a time 2.5 mile run on the treadmill at Quality Care. I could have never gotten back to this point without the expertise and commitment to seeing me as strong and healthy as I could be. Quality Care is absolutely top notch. The owner, and practicing PT, John Monohan exhibits passion, knowledge, and boosts tremendous results. John and his team are well versed in many genres, and offer more value and expertise than any of the other Seattle doctors I have experienced (18 unanswered months searching for answers). John was able to assess my issues from a more holistic standpoint and give me an education about how I could correct my health by balancing my body. I have had elbow / shoulder / neck / back / low back / knee problems. In each case John and his team have literally been able to correct every single problem. They educate you, give you specific exercises with an accompanying set of photos to remember your exercises and closely monitor your progress. It takes fortitude and the regiment that the clinic gives you is tedious, but it works! As a Professional Tennis Coach I consistently have students both young and old with injuries. I have sent between 10-20 of my students to Quality Care. Every person has been thrilled with their experience, just as I have. They have friendly capable receptionists that make your scheduling and payment interactions simple and easy. They are helpful, accountable and they always follow through. Good luck healing up! I've been going to Quality Care PT for about 6 months. When I went in, I could barely walk across a room. Now I'm on a treadmill walking for almost a half hour and getting stronger every day. The PTs are very helpful and friendly, as are the office staff. They know me by name when I come in and are always happy to see me. Dr. John Monahan is not only professional, but very personable. I love watching the streaming pictures on wall monitors that show some of the places the staff have visited around the world, seeing their families and hobbies flash by. I have been to other physical therapy offices and I recommend this one by far over the others. I don't have to wait for my therapist, I warm up on the treadmill and my therapist comes over and starts our session..I go over my home exercises with them and get my questions answered and my techniques corrected as needed. I push hard and they push me hard, they know I'm doing everything I can to make myself better and I thank them each visit for helping me to accomplish my goals. I work with John (Dr. Monahan) and Carolyn for the most part, with Brent lending a helping hand when needed. Michelle, Nicole, and Laura at the front desk are always full of smiles and a happy word. First off, I can't believe this clinic doesn't have more positive reviews. I have been to PT at numerous clinics over the past 30 years and this clinic is as good - if not better - than any clinic I've been to. John and Carolyn are awesome! Pros: super-friendly staff, from the receptionists to the therapists; good parking; experienced PTs; individual treatments with one therapist (appointments last 45-60 minutes); very clean; good hours. Cons: closed on Saturdays and Sundays (that's all I could come up with!). Other: the other negative reviewers seem to be way off base. C.C. from Redmond must have called the wrong number - probably not even a PT clinic! Every time I've called the clinic, I've talked to a really nice, friendly person who was able to help me. As far as Hingdi B. goes, this just doesn't seem to be the right clinic for her. Seems to me she was looking for someone who would just push on the painful bones in her back, not actually make her better. And the info she received from "Inglewood therapy" about leaning on one leg making her pelvis "misaligned" just doesn't make any sense to me. I've spent a lot of time leaning on one leg in my life (dancing) and my pelvis looks pretty straight to me! On the other hand, the exercises I've received to help with my back pain always seem to help. Go figure! read more

I am 82, had total left knee replacement April 24, 2017, and started my therapy at QCPT a week later. I have been around the block many times, and just cannot understand what planet the low scorers are on. I have had 20 sessions, I am back to normal use without pain of my left knee, and have signed up for right TKR in August, starting back for rehab at QCPT a week post-op. My steady progress is in large part due to the guidance, inspiration and encouragement of John, Carolyn and the group. I consistently found everyone in this efficient organization professional, efficient and courteous, from my first phone call on. They are handy for Bothell dwellers, right downtown. They were strongly recommended by neighbors in my apartment complex, and I cannot think of a negative thing to say. I would give no credence to those low scoring reviews if I were you. read more

I had my hip replaced at the end of September, and my recovery is as much due to the excellent care I got at Quality Care PT, as to the surgeon who operated. This is not cookie-cutter PT. A Physical Therapist works with you the entire time you are there for your appointment. I usually saw the same two people, but even when I didn't, the PT who saw me was attentive and helpful. My therapists really listened to me and tailored the exercises to my evolving abilities, as well as to how I was doing on any particular day. They were patient and encouraging. They knew when and how hard to push me. I can't recommend Quality Care PT highly enough. If (and probably when) I need my knees replaced, I will be trusting them with my recuperation. read more

For 2 months I have been following a rehab plan at Quality Care. Everyone is fully competent and professional. There is a fellowship among the therapists and since they all use laptops during the treatment time it is possible to easily book time with different therapists there, as the notes for each patient are detailed Regarding the person who wanted a foot doctor. The ladies at the front desk are always courteous, but sometimes very busy. Recommending doctors is something they probably don't do. Perhaps the owner may have an idea, but he is usually busy working with patients. Having had physical therapy prior to this time, I do have something to compare. Quality Care easily lives up to its name. read more

I have gone to QC several times for various conditions over the last several years. Every time, Kevin has helped me to improve my condition and help reduce my pain. I have easily booked appointments at a convenient time and all the staff is super friendly and helpful. I love the clinic because it is not a "cookie cutter" type or chain, it is locally owned and service is personalized with detailed records sent to my Doctor in a timely manner. I have to let you know about this great service I have received from Quality Care Physical Therapy in Bothell! I am starting a six month path back to walking and these guys have already made a difference in my pain. I went in for hip pain. They were quick to get me in and quick to get me fixed! I found them easy to work with, were very professional and did their best to accommodate your schedule to get appointments.
