I just happen to come across this mattress store across the street from Ethan Allen on Highway 111. I went in with puppy and a very nice sales person named Gabriel Assisted me. He was very patient and kind and didn't mind if puppy tested out the mattresses too! Don't worry he had a disposable pad that he puts down before you lay on the mattress. I bought a diamond mattress and I think their prices were reasonable also. They have free local in-home delivery which I called a store around the corner and they want $99 to come into the house if you don't want it left on the porch! How rude is that. read more

We are so happy with our mattress purchase. The sales person Gabriel was professional, knowledgeable, and provided excellent customer service. We purchased a mattress for our elderly mother who had been having trouble adjusting her sleeping positions from side to side. We figured perhaps a new mattress would help with mobility and aid in allowing her to sleep more comfortably. We went in thinking a firm mattress would be best for our mother however after talking to Gabriel and explaining our mothers' needs he recommended a medium firmness. It's been nearly a week since the mattress was delivered and our mother has been sleeping through the night now. She is able to move more easily from sleeping positions and is more comfortable in her new bed. This is a long overdue review. In late 2019, we had satisfied our extensive, unusually deep dive research of adjustable king-size beds. We had spent considerable time extensively drilling down to the minutiae of several high-end comparative brands and testing our top possibilities at showrooms. We had become exceptionally knowledgable about mattresses, adjustable frames, warranties and pricing to the point that we knew more than most salespeople. Because our research led us to consider some of the Tempur-Pedic product line, we weren't going to make a decision without first visiting Mattress Showroom's Carmen and her salesman Gabriel. They are far and away the most informed of any salespeople we encountered. Tempur-Pedic has a wide range of mattresses and pricing in its line, made more complicated by differences between a choice of one king-size mattress or a split-king, which also involves purchasing two bed frames that can be operated separately. This brand has a mandatory pricing policy that prohibits discounting by its retailers. So, the price is the same everywhere. Some retailers offer discounts on bedding (sheets, pillows, etc) as an incentive. Suffice it to say that Carmen was as competitive as possible and made our decision easy, but for some specifications also available in another brand which pricing Tempur-Pedic couldn't match. Other customers will likely not have this same consideration in their decision. Mattress Showroom also offers several other quality brands, but we were set on only comparing Tempur-Pedic to a brand not available there. We'd highly recommend Mattress Showroom's Carmen and Gabriel in Rancho Mirage, and expect that you'll be very happy with their bedding selection, pricing and customer service. All the mattresses are nice, of course, with wildly varying prices, $800 and up as far as you can imagine. They're very nice about allowing you to try out each mattress for as long as you like - in fact, they encourage lying down a bit more than you might find comfortable. I was told they would schedule bedding specialist and another month went by. I called Carmen again and she asked" haven't they looled at the mattress " another time period went by, finally the Mattress was deemed defective and was replaced but with the same mattress. Carmen said we had to take another of the same model. New mattress came, and it too started to sag. Again contacted Carmen and scheduled another inspection and another month went by. Another call to Carmen, who said she gets busy with customers! I said "excuse me but I AM A CUSTOMER! and I'm not happy. Purchasing a mattress from Mattress Showroom was an excellent experience. The showroom was one of the largest showrooms that we had seen and had several different models available to choose from. Gabriel, our sales associate, did an excellent job in educating us on the several types of mattresses available for purchase since it had been a while since our last purchase. He carefully explained to us the benefits of each type of mattress, which was extremely helpful in our decision making process. Gabriel was very professional in his approach and was very polite and courteous in his interaction with us. He is not a high pressure salesperson, which we liked. Unimaginably terrible customer service. I was berated and insulted by someone by the name of Carmen when trying to explain my dilemma. She would hear none of it, even told me to get out of her store! This was after I purchased the first mattress which I couldn't sleep on. Since the salesman did not show me the bed I should've had, I had to spend hundreds more to get the one I should've bought in the first place since they wouldn't allow the second mattress to be purchased at the sale price which was a big ripoff, not to mention $100 delivery charge. I haven't had a restful night's sleep on either mattress. Now I'm having to deal with Diamond Mattress directly to replace the second one which is defective. I made a huge mistake. read more

Mattress Showroom has nothing in mind but to sell you the most expensive mattress they can, irrespective of what you want. We were up sold to a Diamond Mattress for $1000. It began to sag on one edge after six weeks. It wasn't bad at that point but after a few months it got much worse. When we went back to Mattress Showroom the salesman was less than interested. He gave us the number to Diamond Mattress and said you have to call them, we don't do anything now. Their customer service was appalling. They didn't offer to help us in any way or give us guidance in how to proceed with Diamond Mattress. I won't go on with the disaster dealing with their customer service (or lack thereof). read more

Why didn't I read the reviews first? We got a Diamond mattress ($1000+). It smelled REALLY strong like chemicals when we first got it, so I slept on the couch the first few nights. Then tried sleeping on it a couple hours, only to get a terrible splitting headache, racing heart, nausea, stuffed nose. I had to go right back to the couch. This kept happening over a month and finally after doing a lot of research realized this mattress was just TOXIC and needed to be returned. We have since placed at least 20 calls in to the store. We either get Gabriel (nice, but has no power to help our situation) or condescending, rude Carmen. I realize they are willing to exchange NOT refund, but this is a health issue at this point and we don't want to go into another toxic product, so need to get an organic CLEAN mattress. They don't sell those. They say they have one, but when you check out the product, it's not truly clean or certified, it's just made to look that way. SO, almost 2 months later now we have an unusable $1000 mattress taking up space in the garage, we're sleeping on the couch still and Naturepedic bed on the way. If you read my review on Mattress Showroom recently, you know I gave them bad marks! Well the general manager and I worked things out to an amicable solution. So here is my advice when it comes to buying a mattress. Almost no one returns a mattress. Know this before you buy. I learned the hard way for you! Shop the mattress stores, ask lots of questions, take notes and don't think (if your like me and need to do a thorough shop) that this is going to get done in one day. Maybe if you start early. The reason I recommend what I do is because once you buy the bed (in most cases) it is yours for the life of the bed. Doing your homework for buying a bed is perhaps as important as doing your homework before buying a car. So do this before you commit. My mother, who is elderly with back problems and lives in Palm Desert, needed a new mattress so we again went to Mattress Showroom. We were greeted by Gabriel, who listened to my mother's back issues and suggested a particular Tempur-pedic mattress. She tried it, as well as numerous others. Gabriel was very patient and spent a lot of time with us providing suggestions and excellent information regarding the differences in the mattresses, and current mattress construction. My mother easily decided on the Tempur-pedic Gabriel originally showed her, and she purchased it. It was delivered the next day as promised, and she is delighted with it. So..I purchased a bed from these people, these are thieves. Everything that people say about the sleazy tactics of Mattress salesmen are absolutely true. I purchased a bed and it was for $3K --they delivered the wrong mattress (not the one I purchased). Then when I requested a different bed, they upsold me to a temperpedic because I didn't want have to deal with getting another wrong mattress. Instead of just making things right, Carmen berated me for being 'difficult' . When, in fact I was pretty cool about the whole thing. They charged me $60 for an upgraded mattress which was absolutely uncomfortable and so when I went into swap the mattress, she sold me a Diamond Mattress which is priced at $900 and an upgraded massage base for $1150. I'm now being billed $3250 for a bed less than $2500. So they ripped me off for $1200 of which, the Mattress is still super uncomfortable. So as of this weekend Im returning everything. Just buy a bed online rather than deal with these thieves with horrible mattresses that they won't deliver you whatever you buy. July 1, 2018 So an update--after much back and forth, over 100 pages of documentation--I received a credit for the bed for the $1200-I didn't get to return anything. i still have a bed that's uncomfortable but after the purchase of a topper, it's bearable. Don't get the diamond adjustable base, it has problems with the motors that vibrate even when the bed is off. Do your homework before you shop there--have your prices mapped out. Know that mattress companies change the names of the mattresses and the prices for the exact same mattress vary from store to store. Also be aware that the bed you lay on is not going to be like the bed you purchase. They're extremely broken in. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER ! I came here a few months ago and wanted to Purchase a Mattress from Gabriel who was friendly, kind,and helpful. He spent almost a hour with me asking how I slept , back sleeper, side sleeper, pillow, no pillow. He made many suggestions and even had me try out each of the beds that he thought would be a good fit for my type of sleeping habits. Gabriel wrote down the Diamond Mattress and name that I had enjoyed testing out and I ranked them One, Two, Three. He then even called the warehouse to see which of the three that they had in stock currently. Yeah all three of my choices were currently in stock.It was just about closing at this time . Just wanted to think about the discussion as it was going to be a very big purchase for me. I slept on my air mattress that night and went back to Mattress Show the very next morning. This is where the Worst Customer Service Ever part comes into play. First think walking in the door was greeted by a customer Service Agent by the name of Carmen and I came with my paper ready to make my number one choice..... Carmen told me that they did not have my #ONE choice in stock, and it was out of stock. I was surprised by asked her to look into my #TWO, and #THREE choice. Boy was I utterly shocked to find out that none of my choices were available and were now discontinued ! You must deal with Gabriel if you buy from here, he is the only reason I have purchased three mattresses in the last couple months. He is a straight shooter and very knowledgeable about the industry and is able to explain the benefits, and pros and cons of each mattress. For the first two he got them delivered locally same day within a few hours, for the third matress he was able to get delivered to our other property in LA in a little over a week. There was some miscommunication with the delivery for the third mattress but then the boss Carmen stepped in and had a driver come out later in the evening in order to honor the expectation that was set, it was just nice to know they cared and to feel heard. All in all, we are very happy with the quality of the mattresses and the service we received, but mostly with Gabriel! He is the real deal. read more

I had a problem with the wrong mattress being delivered last year. My body has been suffering since then. I took great effort in contacting the owner, sending emails, receipts and explanations but to no avail. No return calls, and no responses. Gabriel took the time and effort to work with me to make sure that I got the mattress that my husband and I had originally paid for. We were on the phone back and forth from August 2020 until October 2020 when I finally received the correct mattress! He represents what exceptional customer service is. He goes the extra mile so that the customer is happy and satisfied. If it wasn't for his hard work and effort I'm sure I would not have received my mattress. He deserves a promotion and a raise but if that happens you need to hire more people like him to work in customer service.
