Frustrating and horrible service. We were turned away from helping my elderly Dad who lives in Beaverton, recycle bottles from his garage bc I have WA state license plates. Seriously, What the heck?! I think this is a great place for a bottle redemption place. I'm unemployed and returning my family and friends bottles has kept me in gas, and some groceries. I've never seen any shady people or anyone causing issues any of the times I've been there. read more

The green bag service used to be a good idea. Now they're charging a per bag fee, plus limiting how many bags per quarter. Not to mention you aren't guaranteed to get you credit. I dropped off 3 bags on august 19th, was only credited for 1. How do they just lose bags of cans? Especially with the stickers on them read more

After circling the Bottle Drop lot on 3 separate occassions, in an unsuccessful search for a parking space, I finally found one on my 4th trip there. It was about 15 minutes before opening, and there was already a long line of customers. I put my bags in the automatic drop and asked an employee if there was a safe way to buy more bags and stickers. My previous voice mails had gone unanswered. I'm a senior high risk person and do not feel safe going inside their facility. No luck. They have no other option for replenishing bags and stickers. Have they never heard of computers or the postal service? I won't be back. read more

Read a review about this place cheat... Got it myself today. Very true. Don't do business here especially you don't living of these bottles! My young kid does this for good cause-- cleaning up the park and money goes to donation. Today he got 2 full Trader Joe's bags which is about 50+ bottles, so should be $5 in account at least. I checked the bottles before drop off they are all OR 10 cents. Guess how much added to account? $1.53. It's more than painful. Please don't do this... please!!! It hurts. read more

Visited here today for the first time. Though the machines are fast the facility is so dirty and gross! The floors were covered in sticky residue, garbages were overflowing and I saw one guy working there while two girls that had recycling center shirts on sat in chairs on their phones doing nothing. At least they did have a sink to wash your hands. I would rather not recycle than go back here. read more

My bags have been lost or only half counted. I do not trust bottle drop and will not be using them again. I have been counting how many are in the bag prior to depositing. Its unreal how inaccurate they are. read more

Love the convenience of being able to drop off a bag of bottles and not have to do it one item at a time. If you go inside they have several machines and one 75 and under machine. The whole process is fairly quick and the machines are way faster than the wonky grocery store ones which I have had break down and eat my money numerous times. Now that I have a small child being able to drop off the bottles makes things way easier and simpler I only wish that they had more locations on the west side. read more

As expected, many of the people there had tons of stuff, but there's an express lane (75 bottles or less) and they'll hand count 50 or less. I went early Saturday morning and was there only 15 minutes. The machines are super fast, most of my time was spent waiting my turn. This is a great addition to the area. Very convenient. read more

Like using these machines better than those at the store because you don't have to wait for it to crush the bottle and/or can regardless if it's a plastic bottle, can or or glass bottle. No separation needed so that speeds up the process of redeeming them . Just wish people would rinse them out to cut down on the smell . read more

We all hate this place. Horribly ran and staffed. Stinks, dirty, rude. We are better off not paying the forced deposit and recycling through the curb pick up system. Works for plenty of other states. BUT NOT GREEDY OREGON!!!! read more

This is a great place for recycling. They had more employees in the beginning. They usually have about 3 employees on Staff. Not enough to take care of the smell that starts in the afternoon to evening or the sticky floor. I can't blame them though, there is a large group of people constantly coming in and out and it is hard for them to close just to clean the floor. I like the soap and dryer. Very efficient. The employees are friendly it is very fast and efficient and i've never had a problem there. it is a real timesaver compared to the machines at supermarkets that still have them. Those break constantly or get stuck and need maintenance all of the time. If you need to be sure you get your recycling done try this location in Beaverton. if you are a clean freak going in the early am is best! Best to you all! Debby read more

Having enough carts is not rocket science. Having someone at the counter is not rocket science. Having a security guard is unnerving . How bad is the clientele at this location that 4 machines down and no one is at the counter with a security guard scratching his butt outside? read more

My wife and I arrived at 5:30 pm at the Beaverton bottle drop on Beaverton Hillsdale hwy on 3/3/2021. Long line. When we finally got to the entrance door we followed the directions as posted on the front window, walked to a social distancing circle and waited in line. Nope, big mistake...not good enough...the security guard stopped us and told us to go back outside and wait, which we did. I didn't realize the security guy was the owner as he then took his arm and brushed aside saying "Back away from MY door entrance" which we did. He then allowed us in and told us to go ahead to the far machine. We grabbed a container cart to use that was sitting in the middle of the room. Inside the cart was a pile of shards of broken bottle glass and empty cans floating in a gallon of stinky liquid. Does anybody clean these mobile carts??? We had 30 cans left to deposit and we heard loud yelling from the door which sounded like an altercation. Nope it was the mall cop exerting his authority saying "WE ARE CLOSED". Others were still depositing cans. We figured we could wrap up, cash out, and leave. Nope...again, the mall cop came up to us and said "We are closed and you need to cash out" and he hit the cash out button as we were putting in our last cans. Seriously? Can't someone just stand at the door and tell new people that the place is closed and let people inside finish up their business. There isn't anyone that goes into that place that wants to stay any longer than they have to. No please, no thank you...just gruff. As a matter of fact, he might have been a brother to Kate Brown as he looked like her and had the same wonderful personality. Must have scraped the bottom of the sociability ladder when hiring that guy. I highly suggest people find another place to return bottles. Obvious that this place is poorly managed. read more

Not what was shown online and via adverting. There are NO friendly people helping. The line of people waiting put their cans & bottles into the same type of machines they removed from all the stories was unbelievably long and winding out the door. I waited in line for about 13-15 minutes watching as people lined up in back of me. Finally two - that's 2 - people left and the line of over 20 some people, with huge amounts of cans/bottles, shuffled up a step. 2 people every 15 minutes with 20+ in line, = 150 minutes! No Thanks! Before, the machines in front of the stores I frequent, were annoying with their 'fussy' reading to see if acceptable - at least worked. Now the state (?) replaces them with something much worse. Broken glass, sticky floors, and unknown wait times. What happened to that BS 'turn over your bag of bottles' so widely advertised?? read more

One star is too many. The inside of this "redemption center" on a weekend (the only convenient time for me to return cans and bottles) is a level of Hell. Noisy, smelly, long lines - just atrocious. I felt sorry for the folks that work in that place. In order to avoid going inside, I opened an account, bought the bags and the stickers in order to simply drop off via a door outside, and have them credit my account. Ha! Not so fast. After several drop-offs I realized they were not adding correctly and so, my account was not being credited properly. Cheating? Maybe. I then decided to end my relationship with this company but to first, donate the amount they held in "my account." This proved also to be a fool's paradise, since the website has for more than a week returned a message saying that the system is down (or some such) and to try again "later." If I could vote to close this terrible, for-profit enterprise, I would. read more

I have had repeated experiences of inappropriate refunding (like odd $.05, in the BottleDrop-Plus payouts. So I counted my submissions last time, and, for 46 cans and qualified plastic bottles, only got $4.05 credited. This verified my distrust of their inappropriate refund amounts. read more

The Beaverton Bottle Drop location is off to a horrible start. My first experience there was not so bad, other than the long wait. I've been back twice since to use the self serve machines, and it was a nightmare. First of all, they only have 7 machines, one of which is express. They only have 10 carts for customers to use to bring your bottles/cans in. The 2nd time I was there, I stood waiting for a cart (some customers have taken 2-3 for themselves), and finally gave up and went back to my car, figuring I could at least take my bag of cans in to the express. I finally got to the machine, and put in my 75 can limit. Miraculously I turned around and a cart was available. So I went back to the car and loaded all the bottles in. Came back in to stand in the long line. While in line, I watched while two separate customers at the machines put in their 350 item limit, and then immediately started over with the additional HUNDREDS of cans/bottles they had. There was no employee managing the operation, which should insist that once you've reached your limit, you need to get back in line and let other customers use the machines. Doesn't happen here. Then the one employee on duty came out from the back and said all the machines were down. Having already spent way more time in line than should be I just left. I went back a week later, still with all the cans/bottles I couldn't recycle before, and the same situation occured. No carts available, customers at machines with HUNDREDS of items and no employees policing that. After 10 minutes of waiting for a cart, I decided that the getting my bottle deposit back simply wasn't worth it. I'll put the items curbside at home. Management - get your act together for this service! It will not succeed if regular recyclers have no opportunity to use it. Final comment - the place is not very clean. If you go, bring plastic gloves and hand sanitizer. read more
