    Cardboard mountain ;)
    Ben C.

The service here is awesome! Despite the gloomy rainy weather, the young staff in the booth are welcoming and sunshine smiley! Strict on what they receive ~ cardboard needs to be plastic & styrofoam free, broken down and completely dry. If you meet that criteria, then unload for free! Plastic needs to be very very specific for them to receive. It can get dirty & muddy especially on a rainy day, so appropriately be prepared. A little out of the way, but we appreciate that they are "conscious" in making recycling work.

    Mattress recycling drop off station.

I was looking to dispose of a mattress and stumbled on some statistics around the task. Americans dispose of an estimated 20 million mattresses and box springs every year and the vast majority end up in landfills or incinerators. That's roughly 55,000 discarded each and every day. As I looked for recycle options I stumbled on ECR. I called to verify the process and price with a very friendly staff member. I followed her instructions as I arrived to drive on the scale, navigate to the unloading area (lots of helpful staff provided extra guidance, and return to the exit to pay. They accept cash and card which was very convenient. I was able to support a great family owned business, save a few bucks and most of all.... recycle. #perfection.

The amount of carpets we got rid of

I was looking for places to dispose some carpet and foam pads. My bf and I did a bunch of research and found that every option near me was really expensive. My bf found ECR online and called them about their rates. They were surprisingly affordable for responsibly recycling old carpet. So, on one fateful afternoon we rolled up all of the old carpet, put it in the back of my car, and drove over to NE to drop it off. It was a huge complex and a little intimidating because of all of the big trucks around my little car. Once it was our turn, they weighed us and sent us around the facility to drop the carpet and padding. After a bumpy ride, we found the spot and unloaded everything. It went really smoothly and then they weighed us again on the way out to determine our total cost ($25). Overall, I'm really glad we found this place to dispose unwanted object responsibly.

Very simple process to recycle your cardboard or dump your trash. I was instructed to drive here, dump there, etc. And the workers were nice. When I was asked what I was dumping, I explained that I had a majority of cardboard and five bags of trash. The lady at the weigh-in told me that it should be at a minimum fee - she was right. As I was dumping everything out the box van, some of the employees came and checked on my dump. They discussed it amongst each other, and decided to tell the lady that I had 98% cardboard. I thanked them, and when I showed up to the weigh-in, the lady just told me my dump was processed through as all cardboard! So for my second time there, it was free of charge! I wouldn't have mind if there was a fee since it was on the company card, but its nice that I did save the hassle of paying.

Organized and easy in and out. Cardboard recycling is free. $40 is the minimum for non-recyclable items. Fees based on weight.

I arrive at the location and both gates are open and sign posted in front reads the same hours. So wouldn't a normal person believe the business was open ???? I wasn't the only one that thought this way yet I get there and I'm very rudely told they close at 4:30 and argued with me saying he had no control over what their business sign says or what their phone recording says because according to him both sign in front and phone recording are things the business doesn't control. I'm sorry but I don't think so, you hand painted homemade sign isn't controlled by your business....I call bullshit. I wish I could post a picture to show proof of what I'm saying. A homeless man had seen the same signs on separate visits to the business so he walked over 2 hours to get there in time only to be rudely turned away as well. Oh and it's very bad business to imply that a customer is an idiot because the 2 forms of contact said close at 5:30 but yet the one place not checked said 4:30. My point is 2 out of 3 say one thing and the other a different thing so what are you supposed to take is gospel? I figured the phone recording must be correct but then again I guess I'm just too stupid to think the information a business gives out could possibly be correct.......

After I go drop off my cans, I go in and get a box of bags and print some tags. *Usually* there is paper for tags, but if it's busy and they're out, your best bet is to come back later. Your maxed allowed bags to drop off every three months is 15. A nice pro is there usually is security around. I am giving this location low stars because of just how... busy and not so clean it can get. The area is also sketch as it's in a high crime area with business slowly moving away. Line is long outside the door, but only a certain amount can be in. Line also forms pretty early in the AM. Parking is tight. I wish I could give The workers the 5 stars as they are always nice and helpful and I'm thankful they show up. There is also the bottle drop app that is convenient that has your card on it and balance and remaining bags.

Total Reclaim, Inc. accepts all sorts of stuff (computers, home and office electronics, TVs, stereo gear, even some appliances, you name it!) and it all gets 'reclaimed' so none of it ends up in any landfills. I've witnessed WM doing it several times a week. Yesterday, I watched Republic Services do the same thing. Then, this morning at 4:37 a.m., I saw an Arrow Sanitary Services truck repeat the exact same violation. When is this going to stop? This is breaking the law. The fact that there are fewer people out at that hour doesn't make it legal or safe. A one-way street is a one-way street, and sanitation trucks shouldn't get a free pass simply because it's early in the morning. Someone is eventually going to get hurt if this continues. I wanted to recognize Anna L. for her exceptional customer service. When our trash wasn't picked…read moreup, she took the time to thoroughly investigate the issue instead of giving us a generic answer. On the first day, Anna explained that the route notes indicated our bulk item, a futon, had been picked up. It sounded like it may have simply been an honest mistake where it was marked as collected when it actually hadn't been yet - even our normal trash wasn't picked up! She went back and forth with both the route driver and me to try to determine why our regular trash had been missed. Since it was near the end of the day, we had to pause the investigation until the following morning. The next day, Anna followed up with the answer. It turned out the garbage driver had mistakenly thought our regular trash cart was our recycling cart because both carts are blue, so our trash wasn't collected. I really appreciated that Anna stayed on top of the issue, kept me informed throughout the process, and took the time to get to the bottom of what had happened. Anna also made sure we had a plan going forward. She let me know that our missed trash would be picked up on our next scheduled collection day and arranged to have our trash cart swapped out for a different colored bin so this type of mix-up would be much less likely to happen again. What impressed me most was how Anna approached the situation. She never dismissed my concerns or tried to make excuses for what had happened. Instead, she treated everyone involved with respect. She listened, answered my questions and never made me feel like I was just another customer to get off the phone. Anna was professional, compassionate, responsive and genuinely committed to resolving the issue. She is an excellent representative for the company.
