A couple of the dishes did have sauces, but fish is why most Creole restaurants like Brennan's will serve a sauce on the side, or a topping with butter such as Trout Almandine. It doesn't have to be a fancy sauce--the option of good ol' tartar sauce works. The grilled vegetables also needed a little more butter and seasoning. Carrots are good on their own; broccoli and cauliflower need a little cheese or butter and some seasoning to be loved. The IPA (Long John) was excellent. The beer cheese dip and soft pretzels were to die for; the chardonnay was passable. A great choice for dining in a VERY heavily traveled tourist destination.
