A late breakfast after a fun visit to Greene's 36th annual Apple Fest, was an excellent experience. There's plenty of parking on the premises. There's easy access via a few steps or a wheelchair/handicapped ramp. Inside, the place was bright, airy, and clean. Menu items are posted on the wall behind the counter, but the friendly waitress brought us printed menus with the entire bill of fare thereon. I was delighted to find sausage, gravy, and bisquets available, and ordered it. Meg ordered a cheddar cheese omelet. Both came with an order of interesting home fries, that resembled french fries that were prepared on the grill. My glass of orange juice was large and tasty. Meg had water which she proclaimed to be wet. Both of our meals were very good, and we were delighted with the service. The owner stopped by our table to check our satisfaction, and she too was delightful. I definitely recommend Bourdeau's Bistro, across the road from the lazy Chenango River, in Greene, NY. Enjoy!

Constantly good food at a fair price. They also have ice cream with us a nice addition.

The menu itself is short and focused, while the interior of the restaurant features wallpaper with anthropomorphic animals, and large windows. I opted for the Burger, and my wife the Salmon. We also ordered the grilled dates and collard greens. I also decided on a Ginger Beer. They serve Goslings (since 1806), with all 47 grams of sugar, over ice and a lime. Highly recommended on the ginger beer flavor scale. The Burger came with a massive amount of their duck-fat fried fries, certainly more potato than burger. I also liked the burger with the added bacon. But my wife's Salmon was even tastier. It featured a nice hunk of fish, skin-on, crispy, and not some half-or-quarter fillet that other places might serve. Plus, it comes over a bed of green peas and canneli beans and green asparagus sauce on the bottom, and a small bed of frisée on top. The combination with the lemon cream leads to very satisfying bites. The grilled dates wrapped in bacon, with goat cheese, Marcona almonds, and honey were presented as a drumstick. The collard greens were nice, though on the saltier side. Seating here can be had inside or out. The bathrooms are located in the hallway next to the restaurant.

I was not a fan of the salmon mousse... far too salty and I wish it was paired with crisped bread or at least something other than Ritz crackers. I did, however, enjoy the presentation and taste of the macaroni au gratin. The square shape is very unique and I liked the cheese sauce. The lamb w gnocchi was also quite good. Pillowy and soft. The lamb was cooked well. Overall, I would maybe return. I enjoyed the macaroni au gratin as well as the lamb w gnocchi!

Three of us wen for dinner last Wednesday, and we were seated immediately, and received water and menus straight away. Our wait-staff was friendly and helpful. Rigatoni, garlic parm chucken wings, and salad buffet were our three orders. The entrees came with the salad bar, but rebel me had the salad bar as a stand alone meal. The two folks who had meals had to carry half of their chow home in provided to-go containers. All were pleased with both food and drinks. The ambiance is pure country, as the name fo the establishment may imply. There are two spacious dining rooms, with one havingthe large horseshoe barinit. Additionally, there is a well-appointed, covered outdoor dining area. There's a banquet room below the main restaurant. The new owner, "T" for Tanis, reopened the eatery in May of this year, and things here harken back to the early days of the location, which is a very good thing. There's live music on the weekends, and fatyred ood nights on Friday and Saturday nights. Give T's Hitching Post a try. The extensive menu is sure to have just what you were hoping for. Oh, and by the way, the resonable prices will make you happy, too.
