Love this place ! Only been twice for breakfast but each time the meal was top notch, very personable service, with attention to details. Owner is often around cleaning windows , filling coffee cups and just welcoming everyone to his "home". The vibes here are really "groovy" as it's tie dye and Grateful Dead greetings everywhere along with lots of pictures on the walls . Oh yeah they also participate in a local charity drive for their community.. love that ..the prices are also throwback !! Mmmmmm

This diner is super unsuspecting but was some of the best food I had on my recent trip to the area. I came on a Saturday at about 10:30 and waited maybe 20 minutes for a table (party of 2). I opted for the seasonal pumpkin waffle and was not disappointed. It had great spice flavor, was super fluffy and I loved the addition of whipped cream. I also ordered sides of breakfast potatoes and cheese grits. I don't usually love cheese in my grits but I was in the mood for them. I will say I still wish they had been plain instead of cheese but they had a great consistency. The breakfast potatoes almost stole the show. Super crispy on the outside, almost creamy/silky on the inside with great seasoning. On top of all of this, the service was great and food came out extremely quickly. I will definitely be stopping by again if I'm in the area!

Matt's favorite sandwhich (sub crispy chicken)

The fried chicken sandwiches deserve a shout out. Apparently Binghamton is obsessed with marinating chicken and I am thankful for it. The fried chicken here is marinated before its fried and it makes a huge impact. This is very unique and not standard at all in most places. Super flavorful!! Pictured is "Matt's favorite sandwhich" but I subbed crispy chicken in place of grilled. It was fantastic tbh. My take: perfect hole in the wall type diner. Would go here often if I lived near by.

I expected the toppings inside the stuffed burger but the flavor was there.

As luck would have it, it was Binghamton Restaurant Week and we attempted a walk in - first available was three+ hours later - but the hostess mentioned we could get the RW menu at the bar and two seats were calling. Lots of choices on the menu but friend and I ended up having the same meal! Cup of Cauliflower, potato and leek soup to start was yummy - very comforting, not too thick, good flavor - I could have stopped here! But fortunately did not! Main was spectacular! Salmon with everything bagel spices served over pearl couscous in a risotto style was inspired (honestly, I will try this at home)! I hope this is a menu regular because I will crave this for many more meals! Add a black Manhattan and this meal is a treat! (Took the dessert course to go - blueberry cronuts were better than chocolate but both likely suffered a wee bit from loss of ambiance and slight steaming that occurred on drive - good for sure but did not compare to the rest of the meal). Shout out to Tommy F for exceptional service - attentive but not intrusive. Ambiance is lovely (the lighting dimmed as we sat - hysterical) but we also scored the most comfortable seats in the house (I hate a high top stool with no back and no padding on the seat - those stools look nice but should go away). Also love the hook under the bar.

I think it was Lauren, she was nice enough but did not go above and beyond for her customers. She did not want to move us to a more comfortable table, despite our requesting multiple times and the place was literally empty. Finally she was able to make it happen but it was already unpleasant. She was good with bringing us hot waters with lemon as requested, but there was zero proactiveness to refill the hot water or any of the iced water. It was like us going out and trying to please the waitstaff. She did make a good suggestion for the lavender gimlet cocktail. Overall disappointing.

I didn't realize at the time until she reminded me but we actually had a gift certificate from this restaurant hanging out in our refrigerator from like 5 years earlier. So after ordering our breakfast I asked the waitress if it was even a possibility to still use it and she said sure no problem. So anyway, our breakfast was wonderful, the waitress was really nice even if she hadn't given me permission to use an old gift certificate, and the place looked pretty clean. I checked when I got back to the house and it had actually been 8 years for that gift certificate but we went back for lunch and caught the same waitress, and yeah no problem they let us use it Lunch was just as good as breakfast was. They do have a secret sauce there I asked what was in it because I saw it on the menu expecting her to tell me what it was and she said that she wasn't allowed to so it really is a secret. I did get to try some however and it's rather tasty in fact I suggest it to her that perhaps the owners could put it in bottles and sell it maybe just there at the restaurant anyway. I mean I would have bought a little bottle. But yeah, we both had a chicken sandwich and some sweet potato fries, and everything was rather tasty. Next time we are in the area we will definitely go back

This choice was…read morebasically accomplished by using Google and seeing the massive list of places in the area and choosing one we haven't been to yet. Oh my gosh I'm glad we did this one.. Isn't much to look at when you walk in but it's basically a diner so what do you really expect? . Menu isn't huge but what they do they do very well. First thing I noticed when the breakfast came to the table was that the potatoes were fried in butter. A lot of places we have gone to use a little oil on the flat top, nope this place uses butter. And not that cheap imitation butter either they use some real butter. Those potatoes were incredible. We both had the steak and eggs, we both ordered the steak or air which for a breakfast steak is about a 25 second window before it's overcooked, and these guys nailed it. Everything else we had was really good including the French toast. A lot of places have it rather soggy, this wasn't crispy but it was well, let's just say less soggy. We asked him about other things we like for example the sausage biscuits and gravy which they only do on Saturday so we have to go back now. I also want to try their breakfast sandwiches because I was talking to them about these, and for those that are in this area that remember a place on I think Broad Avenue called Pasquale's.. well Pasquale's used to have the best breakfast sandwiches, and the Clinton diner here is telling me that they make theirs a little bit bigger. Definitely has my interest peaked. So anyway yes, I definitely recommend this place. The prices were not too bad really, all of the food we have here I think was about $30. For two steaks, and basically a third order of French toast, I'd say not too bad.
