All procedures were performed by assistants. He hasn't been thrilled with the care he has received, but he decided to finish his treatment, rather than change to another practice at this point. He had a 4 pm appointment yesterday and when he arrived, he was told by the receptionist that his doctor had moved to another office, down the hall. This receptionist was rude and nasty and made it seem that he should have known not to come to HER office to bother her. So he went to the new location and told the receptionist there what had just happened. This lady was very nice and apologetic and explained that the doctor had changed offices, the day before, and they were remiss in sending the patients this change of location for their upcoming appointments. So my husband sat down and waited and waited and eventually was led to an exam room where he waited some more. He was there for a full hour and no one even stuck their head in the door to check on him or to apologize for the wait. After an hour, my husband got up, got dressed and walked out of the exam room, past the receptionist, and out the door. No one said one word to him. It was close to a half hour later when he received a phone call from someone in a call center, not even someone who was in the office, and she was calling to reschedule his appointment. She had NO idea that anything had happened or that he had even just been in the office waiting to be seen. She was calling to set up an appointment. My husband then told this whole story and said that he wanted a call from the office manager AND he expected the charge that they made to his credit card for the visit (yes, they charge you BEFORE your visit) to be refunded! He has yet to receive that call from the office manager nor have we received the refund! If we could give NO stars, we would!

Well, if you're looking for a great dermatology office, you found it at First Coast Dermatology. The office itself was very nice. The waiting room is actually very spacious which was a nice change from the small offices I've seen. Everything always clean and had an updated look. The office staff was quick and efficient. They knew what they were doing, got me checked in quickly, and were pleasant. This is a nice breath of fresh air compared to some snooty office wraps I have had to deal with before. Nothing bugs me more than bad customer service and you will not have to deal with that at first Coast dermatology. I saw Erin, a PA-C, and she was wonderful. The person was extremely invasive, condescending and abusive. I called twice to speak with Paula about it and she said in a very rude tone and acted like I was a burden: "I told MY supervisor about you and she said she would take care of it!"
