This review is only for outpatient services which, my opinion, are outstanding. I have been here…read morefor bloodwork, X-rays, an mri, a ct heart scan and a stress test. Every time I have entered the hospital I have been greeted by a cheerful volunteer receptionist and directed where to go. From there, I have always found the services to be timely, well organized and efficient. I am impressed by the quality of the nurses and technicians who are professional and cheerful. More than one has informed me how happy they are to work here. It shows!!!

I am really surprised at all of the negative reviews. I've lived on the Island for over 10 years…read moreand I have been to Baptist Nassau many times for xrays, mammograms, bone density tests, ER surgical visits and many of the same tests for my husband. I have Never had an experience where the staff, nurses, or doctors were rude or non-caring. Since most of the complaints target the ER staff I have to say, I found them completely caring, quick to respond to the button you push for help, and very concerned for my comfort, i.e. pillow, extra blanket, head elevated. I don't feel the need to run to Jacksonville for tests that are perfectly performed at Baptist Nassau. The radiologist was quick to review my test and my tests results were submitted to my doctor the next day every time. I am sorry for the unpleasant experiences that others have had. Maybe their visits were in the height of COVID hospitalizations? If so that's still no excuse for rude behavior. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BAPTIST MEDICAL CENTER NASSAU FOR ALL MEDICAL NEEDS. I hope this review gives you reason to give them a chance to change your mind.

They said they were not and could get us in and out in no more than 30 minutes. We arrived within 15 minutes and they still weren't busy, but I should have taken it as a clue when one of the patients waiting told them she couldn't wait any longer and politely left. We waited for about a half hour and found the hold up was the order didn't say what part of the arm they wanted x-ray done on. Well, her whole freaking arm hurts so they wrote the order for her arm...so do the dang arm. This is also known as easily figured out if you communicate with your patient. We ended up leaving and will drive further to go someplace with customer service and a sense of respect for patients' time. At the end of the day, UF Health is nothing more than Shands and you know the old saying, "You can put lipstick on a pig..." Update: My mom received an order for an MRI. Her doctor said it made sense to have the same facility that did the x-ray, to do the MRI so they could compare. Beautiful new facility, but that's where the good things end. This is just a dressed up Shand's with all the problems and issues that plagued Shand's and earned the reason that I avoided Shand's like the plague. They are completely disorganized, know nothing about compassionate patient care and just riddled with red tape. They also do a horrible job communicating. My poor mom was in horrible pain and the radiologists were the ones determining which parts of the doctor's order they felt they needed to do. I get questioning, but what I don't get is being so brazen that you are operating outside your level of training and overriding someone of higher authority all while the patient is suffering. As a comparison, I called Beaches Open MRI and they got her orders and lab work from the doctor, authorization from the insurance and scheduled the MRI AS ORDERED all on the same day with 1 phone call from me. UF Health was about a dozen phone calls over the period of a week and my mom still was scheduled for the MRI the physician ordered. I also found out that they would have required 2 separate visits on 2 separate days so they could bill her insurance twice. All I can say is we are disappointed they have wasted space by building this facility on the north side.

The whole nurse team treated me incredibly kind throughout my stay, especially when I told them I was nervous about some testing they were about to do. They kept me calm and treated me with the utmost care. Every person that I interacted with did honestly - the anesthesiologist, surgeon team, front desk, cafeteria workers (who went above and beyond to get me something to eat when the ordering system was down!) and even the person transporting me to the pre-op room! They were also incredibly knowledgeable and cared about me personally. I was in a room in the new tower apparently, which was very spacious and comfortable. There was a couch that converted into a makeshift bed for a visitor as well. I believe visiting hours are 9am-9pm. Coming back in for a post-op appointment was great as well. The front desk was helpful and pointed me in the right direction, and the medical assistant and doctor were professional and friendly. I would absolutely recommend UF Health North to anyone! Great experience.

This ER is hands down one of the best places to go if you ever need emergency care. I'm not saying that doesn't happen, but I am saying that not everyone who comes in for treatment is seeking drugs. What I appreciate most about the team here is that they always treat me with kindness, respect, and compassion--no matter how many times I've had to come in for care.
