I have been coming here and RAVING about it since they opened several years ago. I think I am finished. Admittedly, I was late today for my pedicure, but the way the owner/manager's face went from beaming at one customer to a look of disgust when she saw me was the final nail in the coffin. There is an event going on across the street and traffic is crawling and parking is tight. This is all visible from her perch at the front desk. Last time I was here I was on time, but took a few extra minutes to choose a nail color. When the tech asked me what kind of pedicure I would like, I chose (as I always do) the spa pedicure, and wanted to add on extra foot massage. Owner/manager said no. No time. The place was EMPTY aside from me, and no one came in behind me. For the last year I have noticed the owner/manager has always been very focused on making sure I tip. I have NEVER not tipped, and have the Venmo history to show that. I over-tip. Today, I heard her insisting to another client that she tip 20%. While I am a generous tipper, if someone demands a certain amount, they will not get it from me. Tips are earned. Thankfully I always have great techs here and never need to be told how much to tip them, but this was flat out obnoxious. I have brought family, sent friends and always suggest Bough when asked. I had a terrible experince, it started by not feeling welcomed. After I explained to them how I want my nail, she got frustrated instantly; her tone and body language carried to the whole experience. She was brutally rough, I kept explaining what she was doing hurt my fingers, however she continued. Lastly my nails came out terribly, it was rushed. Just recently moved to norwood and was looking for a nail salon but was overwhelmed by how many are in the area and everyone has their opinions on where is best... I saw this on a google search and drove by to see if it was busy... it wasn't so I went right in. Not only did I not have to wait at all (score) but I was greeted immediately and helped by Erika. She was amazing. Very thorough and took her time. My nails turned out great AND their service includes a back and shoulder massage... I will for sure be back! This place is also huge! First time at Bough. Got the lemon spa pedicure and a mani. Love this place. It's clear they put thought into every detail. Down to the pocketbook hooks at the nail stations, name tags, and matching "uniforms". So nice, new and clean. Typically have specials or coupons. And even seasonal gift bags for gift cards. Yes, a little more pricey than other local places but worth it. You get what you pay for. And to the person who complained about the 30-minute pedicure....pretty sure that's standard. Unless you pay for an extra special pedicure, you're not going to get an hour. read more

If you are telling me you are actually that busy on a Tuesday in Norwood center then it must be a different Norwood center. I have been coming to this nail salon since they opened. I love the quiet ambience and beautiful decor. I love that you get free paraffin wax with every mani and pedi and a massage as well. Prices are competitive. With all that being said the last few times I came here I was left very displeased. I was attended by a guy named Tony who rushed through a mani/pedi and he painted my nails so far away from the cuticle that by day 4 I needed a color refill (I have a thyroid condition my nails don't grow that fast). Manicure was gel and pedicure regular nail polish. I was there with my husband who was seen by another attendant but he left ahead of me because he had to go to work. After I received an awful I really don't want to do this massage by Tony he sat down and told me my total about $95 and proceeded to question me whether I had the money. I'll let that one sink in. Everyone else went to the cashier and paid without being questioned. After I paid my balance. I had cash in my back pocket for tip but I was questioned whether theyvshould take tip out of my card. I said no I have cash. I still had it in my back pocket. They didn't see the tip and questioned me again where was the tip. Excuse me but a tip is earned for good to great service. My intention was to tip and I did but I don't know whats going on that they're not being paid enough or people haven't been tipping but that was so rude and made me feel so uncomfortable. That unfortunately I will not be spending my hard earned money here. Norwood has way too many nail salons to go anywhere thats going to treat you indifferent. Absolutely disgusting behavior. I have been here plenty of times to get gel and sns powder and had excellent service and all times been satisfied until yesterday. I arrived at 430pm and told the person at the front I would like her to do my nails and she assigned me with someone else. AMY? I haven't seen her there before. Pedicure was fine.. DIP WAS TERRIBLE!!! and LOOKS HORRIBLE!!! my nails are super thick and she took 3hrs I didnt leave until after 6:30pm. throughout the process I complaint that I was not happy how thick my nails were turning out and she seemed annoyed.... Being there 3hrs I assumed I would have fantastic, perfect nails... INCORRECT I didn't leave happy at all. At the end I was very frustrated because I was assign someone new despite no other customer being at the salon when I arrived and I go here all of the time. $80 later Im still not happy and I am leaving on my vacation tomorrow .. I love this nail salon. It is a very clean, bright place. I have been a handful of times, and every time I leave very pleased. All pedicures and manicures come with a paraffin wax and a wonderful massage. I also got my eyebrows waxed there the other day, and the woman did a great job! Highly recommend!! read more

I have visited this salon twice and both times been very impressed. The salon is clean and bright. The employees are friendly and gentle. First time was a mani/pedi. Such a relaxing experience. Some here complain of a higher price, but both services include hot stone massage and paraffin treatment. I've never been to a salon that included both, so a couple of extra dollars is worth it to me. Second time I had the dip manicure, so far I'm very pleased. The manicurist was very gentle. We went here when we could not get into our regular nail salon. Extremely clean was my first impression. The pedicures are a little pricier than I typically pay, but worth every last cent. The salon is beautiful and very clean. They were able to squeeze me in for a pedicure even though they were closing in about 30 min. Everyone there was so nice and welcoming even though I was coming in so late. Julie did an incredible job on my pedicure. I am usually very ticklish but she was so careful to work around the areas that usually bother me. Their basic pedicure has all the bells and whistles for a low price. Very disappointed. I went for a quick mani pedi and was shocked at the prices. I've been to many salons in the area and although the interior is very nice and clean the prices seem extraordinarily high. A basic pedicure $37 and spa pedicures over $70. It was my first time there and the staff barely spoke to me. I had to ask if they offer different types of pedicures and I got a menu handed to me with no conversation. I opted for the regular pedi and for $37 it didn't even last more than 20 minutes. I was having trouble turning on the massage chair with no offer of assistance. I didn't stay for my manicure. I wouldn't mind paying the top dollar if the service was worth it but I could get a longer pedicure for less than $30 at a local competitor. read more

I went here for the first time today and I loved it. It is very clean, the employees were very nice/attentive, and Sharon did a great job on my manicure. It was worth every penny of $37 for a shellac manicure since you get paraffin wax, hot stone shoulder/neck massage, and hand massage. Not to mention the great atmosphere. Salon is neat and clean - as it should be. Pedicures are rushed. A 30 minute pedicure is not a pedicure at all. The massage was weak and not long enough. I would prefer to bring back the traditional hour pedicure and not view the massage as extra. Massage should always be part of a manicure and pedicure and should last longer than 2 minutes. Bough, as all other salons in the area, have taken this away from the experience. I think if improvements are made in this area to set them apart from other salons it would be good thing. read more
