I hate to give bad reviews but I have had quite a few not so great experiences at this location. The front desk staff are hit and miss but multiple times I have witnessed pretty unprofessional behavior (bad mouthing their team in the hallways while we can hear them in the wax room, gossiping at the front desk). In addition, this last visit was the worst. I got a huge burn on my face. I thought it would die down after the first night but it looks pretty bad now and I've had to go into work for big presentations trying to cover this up. I visited European Wax Center for the first time a few weeks ago. I got an eyebrow wax from here done. Typically, I get my brows threaded but decided why the heck not try waxing again. If I wax, I tend to do it at home. The lady who did my wax was very nice. At first, when she told me that she had finished waxing my brows and I checked in the mirror, I wasn't satisfied with how they looked. I asked for a clean up and they didn't look too clean, still hairs left. She was very patient though, which I was very appreciative of, and had me lay back down so she could fix it. I don't think I would come back again to be honest, just because I wasn't too impressed but the staff here was very kind. My brows didn't look as crisp as I wanted, however, its okay. I will most likely go back to just getting my brows threaded in the future. read more

Having grown my eyebrows out for 3 months I went to EWC in Dedham for a wax, I walked in with full eyebrows with somewhat of a shape and left with shapeless barely there eyebrows. It wasn't until I returned home to get a complete view and wow. ..I'm so embarrassed to walk around like this for at least 2 months due to regrowth. NEVER AGAIN. I went to the Dedham location yesterday for a nose hair waxing. Yes, you heard right! I figured it would be better to have a pro do it than risk injury doing it myself. Mouna was fantastic. Friendly and to the point, she got me in and out within 10 minutes and didn't try to sell me a return visit right away (although I will definitely go back in a couple of months). Luana took care of my check out and could have been more gracious. I work in the aesthetic industry and am fully aware of how clients can feel with a bad vibe. Not here! I thoroughly recommend it. They were clean before Covid. They always sanitize between clients. At this time you are not able to wait in the waiting area. You scan a code on the door, respond with your name and they text when it is time for your appointment. I always go to Crystal. She is the best waxer I know. She makes you feel comfortable during your appointment. On the pain level 1 to 10, 10 the highest. I will say a 2. I never get ingrown hairs or bumps. read more

Another rave review for Crystal! I got my first bikini wax today, and was so nervous. I had requested an appointment with any specialist, and thankfully was paired with Crystal. My anxiety was through the roof prior to my appointment because, well, hair removal is painful. I'm told that the first wax is the most painful. I wouldn't even describe it as painful, in hindsight. Just momentary discomfort. Crystal made me feel at ease, and the results were better than I'd expected! I'm black and have very thick, coarse hair. Crystal has magic hands! And she's so comforting. I am beyond FURIOUS with the DEDHAM location and the LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE I received ! In this time when gas prices are inflated and traffic is at an all time high, I have no time for the disregard of my hard earned money that I was willing to spend for a service that I didn't receive. I called to let the receptionist know that I would be running late which I waited a while on hold before I got to speak to someone. At that point I let them know that I am trying my best to make it within the 9 min grace period that the allotted ( to be honest weird time frame but whatever!) The guy I spoke to said he would make a note that I'm running late and I said I'll try my best to make it within the time and if not I would be willing to reschedule in person. I have the EWC app which doesn't allow you to check in unless you are within 100ft. I turned in to the parking lot within the grace period timeframe and was able to check in! However, obviously it would take time to park and walk in. When I walked it two receptionists greeted me by saying "oh, we just texted you I'm sorry you just missed the grace period" I explained that I just checked in though and had to walk in! They said I'm sorry the wax specialist can't take you she has two people after you and is fully booked. So aggravated I picked up my things and left without hesitation and can say this location and maybe the EWC chain has LOST A CUSTOMER!! I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATION PERIOD AND THATS FOR CERTAIN! Two things wrong with my experience... 1. Clearly there isn't appropriate communication between receptionists or staff because why wasn't there any mention of the guy I spoke to who made note I was running late? 2. Gas is not cheap so for me to drive there and not be accommodated WHATSOEVER was unacceptable. But if was the other way around and I had to wait , I would be expected to do so graciously and patiently wouldn't I ? So in other words people only care about there time, and not the effort you made to come there and pay my hard earned money for the service 3. The was an EXTREME MISSED OPPORTUNITY AND LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE when I was not even asked if I would like to reschedule or even try to accommodate me with another wax specialist at a later time because mind you I was told when I called that there were others available for later! I WILL NEVER BE COMING BACK AND NO I WILL NOT BE CALLING TO TALK WITH ANY OF YOU SO YOU CAN SAVE THAT IN YOUR RESPONSE TO MY REVIEW! I WILL ALSO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE ELSE GOING HERE... I have a vacation in the next few days and I will take my money where it is valued and appreciate because I don't have time for the nonsense! Tatiana is super fun and does an amazing job. After my first appointment with her, I totally understand why she books up quick. Got the brazillian wax and it wasn't nearly as painful as I thought it would be. I only let out a squeak or two... I also REALLY appreciated the fact that she didn't try to sell me products or additional services. I just had an appointment with Kerri, and she is amazing! Easily one of the fastest most pain free sessions I have ever experienced. Kerri was very easy to talk to, and distracted me from the waxing. I had my first visit this week. I made my first appointment online the night before, pretty easy to do. Upon my arrival the girl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful filling out all my info. The lady who was doing my waxing mention that I'll have to get right in because they only have 15 min do do the waxing and they are always busy. I mentioned that I didn't know about the time that I had since was my first time (maybe could be helpful if they mention something about arriving earlier if it's your first time when booking online?) Process was very fast and somehow painful (for me) Overall, first time costumers have a very good deal 50% off, process was smooth without inconvenience. I just didn't like the feeling of been in a place were costumers meant money, 15 min for your process that's all you get no matter if it's first time or a regular costumer, your in and out. read more

I arrived within the 9 minute late window (I was literally 5 minutes late) and apparently there wasn't enough time to do both of my scheduled services and I had to chose which of the two I wanted. I scheduled a Brazilian and underarm. Normally these two services are completed simultaneously and take less than 15 minutes. I've never had this experience at a EWC and I've been to a number of locations in the New York/CT area over the past few years. I'm hoping to have better luck at the Easton/Brockton location when it opens soon. read more

Last night, I had a waxing emergency. I've been getting my Brazilian and underarm wax at the same place with the same esthetician for about 2 years. I'm not gonna lie, there had been maybe 5 times where I've been about 5-10 minutes late but I don't make it a habit. (I won't be naming this place because I don't believe in bad mouthing....anymore.) I had a medical emergency that landed me in the ER, unable to communicate for the day and I missed my appointment this weekend. So I call the next day, explain and make a new appointment for last night. Traffic was abysmal so I end up being about 10 minutes late. When I called to let my esthetician know, I was told rudely that I could only have my underarms done. Now I understand that and that wasn't the problem. The problem arose when I arrived only to find they had passed me off to a woman I've never even seen before. I figured I'd just reschedule because I'm loyal to my lady. The receptionist, not my esthetician, informs me that my esthetician of 2 years will no longer take my appointments unless it's the day of because she could have taken appointments on the day I was crippled in pain in the ER. Mind you, she was aware of the circumstance and as I said, I don't make a habit of missing appointments or being late. What was the point of being so callous? At this point I'm frustrated to the point of tears. You would think someone would offer me some type of comfort or ask if I'm alright......nothing. So I leave, frustrated and with an appointment for next week that I no longer desired. I have a few friends that swear by the EWC so I figured I'd give them a call. By the way it's 7pm at this point. So, I call and ask if there is anyway that I can come in because I had already applied numbing cream in preparation for my previous appointment. (This place uses strip wax ) A wonderful young woman advised me to keep checking online to see if an appointment opens up and by some small miracle an 8pm opens. I arrive and I am warmly greeted by the receptionist. I was presented with options and discounts for long-term service that are AWESOME by the way. My esthetician Chrissy was very professional and made it very easy to engage in conversation. She reassured me that I wouldn't have to worry about being passed off or being denied service for things out of my control. I never thought I would use the words "pleasant" and "wax" in the same sentence but it effectively describes my experience. The custom oil and wax used were soothing and almost completely pain-free. Didn't even need the numbing cream! I was done before I knew it and not a hair was out of place. The oil is offered for $27.50 which is well worth it! But wait, there's more! Not only is the price difference delightful, being a first timer, my Brazilian wax was half off! I wax once a month and as I previously mentioned, the EWC offers wonderful discounts for service if you are a long-term client. I will be selecting the option to purchase 9 appointments and get 3 for free. Yes girl. For. Free. Even including tip, I will be saving more than $300 a year on my services. There are other options for more frequent service if you like to treat yo-self! The EWC has gained a client for life and I will recommend it to all my friends seeing as the referral program gives you $10 off of your services per referral with unlimited referrals! So I went in I usually go to my location in Cali, I live locally now so I tried this location out I heard they're really good but I just didn't get the greatest brazilian it was a week ago and I have so many patches I noticed it when I first was there but didn't say anything.. Needless to say I have to go back and probably pay again... wanted to give 5 stars. Also the girl at the desk was super rude.
