So instead of preparing this year's charcuterie board myself, I splurged and had XOXO create a masterpiece instead... and it was a hit! The ordering on the website was easy enough and after some texting back and forth, I had clear direction on the pick-up time too. It was ready upon arrival and it was beautiful and extremely tasty. The board and all of the ingredients were high quality. Our guests were pleased and so was I! I ate leftovers for days after the holiday too as there was plenty of meats, cheeses, honey, fresh fruit, dry fruit, nuts and more... Lori was truly lovely to work with and didn't make me feel ignorant about the process even though I 100% was. They came into our house stocked like the Marines ready to get it done. They prepared passed appetizers for an hour and then did a plated meal. Delicious and so elevated! LisaBeth was our main server and she made sure those with allergies were given TLC and she managed our water, ice, and wine table with precision. They were kind enough to do all of the dishes even though we had not paid for that time. I think a first time planner should know that there will be additional fees for staff and large rentals (chafing dishes, etc.). I didn't factor this in at the beginning but, of course, it totally made sense. I only wish I had a life where I had more catered events coming up as everything was so lovely and now I want to try all of the foods that I didn't have the opportunity to add to our event menu.
