Every time we visit family in Hamilton, we almost always go to Bouilla for lunch, and every time, the food and service is fantastic. I really enjoy their whole grain bowls, which are pretty substantial with plenty of grains and protein. My favorites are the ahi tuna, southwest chicken, and mojo tempeh bowls. The food is great. However the service is terrible. and if you're over 10, but still a child. Don't you dare order a grilled cheese sandwich, because the chef apparently refuses to make any food that's on the kids menu for anyone over 10. Even if you offer to pay more. They will berate you at your table and then proceed to tell you that other restaurants won't let you either. (like we've never been to a restaurant before) Which isn't the truth at all. My child has IBD and has safe foods and we order them food from kids menus all the time. we've never had an issue ever. Not sure what it matters if the child is 10 or 15. They aren't allowed a grilled cheese? Very odd. and very rude behavior. Will not be returning. read more

The food was great per usual! However the waitress was so unfriendly. We came in at 11:30 shortly after they opened and she acted like she had been there all day with horrible customers. She didn't offer my child a cup to drink out of I had to ask. She didn't ask how our day was going or say hi or anything. My kid drank too much water and had a bit too much spicey dip and threw up all over himself and the table and she watched the whole thing happen and just walked over to another table instead of offering us napkins. After that we were ready to leave and we had to ask for the check. You would think after that happened that she would want us out of there even faster than she did previously. I had to take the check to her to check out. I told her we are kind of in a rush to leave and in the rudest tone she said "I get it". Obviously she did not get it. My child and I are covered in throwup and we would like to leave. I gave her a small tip because I assume they share with the kitchen, but I should not have given her any. We will not be going back because she was so rude and unfriendly. We love the food, but it is not with being treated like they dont want you there. read more

This place is a hidden gem. We came by a little bit after lunchtime on a Tuesday for my husband's birthday lunch and were seated almost immediately. My husband had the portobello sandwich, my daughter had the falafel and I had the beet salad. All were outstanding and very generous portions. The food was wonderful, with a diverse menu, and an offering of a variety of refreshments. I choice the ginger kombucha. (WOW), and the ahi tuna grain bowl. I also ordered the Parmesan Fries. Our group was laughed at when we walked in. There was 7 of us. The sever said "yeah there's no way we can seat you" and then walked away from us. There were only 3 tables in the whole place that were sat. This place had been raved about by our family (who we were with) but by that treatment I highly doubt we will come back. Ceaser Salad was 14 dollars, its an additional 6 to add chicken. I don't mind paying but it felt pricey for the experience and what you got. Our group was semi large, 5, our server was 19 years old and did fine....which was refreshing as it seems finding decent help in the area is difficult for the service industry. My salad was moderately portioned and tasted fine. I opted for no protein, and no drink as I was a guest and invited by family friends. I would go back for lunch, and have been multiple times. They have a simpler menu at lunch and I think I would have liked the sandwich's more if offered at dinner. Our table had a few of the tapas, burgers and chili. read more

The southwest chicken bowl is very tasty. Very good flavor and portion ...very different from other local food. The only problem is that they close at 3pm sharp like every day. So lame. The people there seem very defensive about their closing time as well. They are not looking to help you out. 3pm hard out. Worst experience at lunch today. Terrible service. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup . There was nothing in it including no tortillas. I took one bite and shoved it aside and when asked if I wanted a container for it and I told her it was t worth it .. she just shrugged. The other waitress came by and started to reach for our fries asking if we ordered them and looked at us funny when we told her that yes they were ours. I had to ask for my sandwich and the waitress came over and placed it on the other side of the table. We had to ask twice for ranch for the fries. This is a great sandwich and salad restaurant. My go-to is the grilled portobello mushroom sandwich, it is very tasty and full of flavor, it also comes with a small side of pickled onions that I enjoy eating with my sandwich. I usually order the Parmesan French fries as well, which is delicious and can easily be shared with 2-3 people. Restaurant is clean and servers are nice, only complaint is that it takes awhile to get our food, for three sandwiches and a salad- it took about 40 minutes before we got our food (not sure how many cooks they have in the back).
