About 11 months ago I had Boulder Garage repair a broken spring. The young man was very courteous and did a good job of repairs. So naturally I called them to come 6/8/22 to look at why my door was only opening about 8 inches and stopping (potential warranty), The guy showed up at the very last of the window, walked out with his hands in his pockets and an obvious attitude. He immediately looked up at the motor and wanted to know who installed it, said it was an off brand and that was my problem. He never observed it more than once, told me I get what I pay for and it's nothing they have done, he didn't look at the rollers, springs, nothing......when I asked did you look at the springs? He said look, don't shoot the messenger. After all I came here to help. I said no you aren't, you are here to tell me it's my problem and not to help. He said don't call us then, my reply was not a problem. He got in his truck and laid rubber peeling out. I immediately called to complain, they said oh no, they don't want that kind of service and could I be home the next day between 10 and 1, I said sure, I cancelled taking my grandson swimming and waited......,NO SHOW, NO CALL! BTW, this "off brand" is a mighty mule, sold by Home Depot and Costco, it was not cheap, as it has a 1 and 1/4 hp motor, way more than what is needed to lift a standard door, plus has WiFi capability. Mighty Mule does gate openers as well and are highly regarded in the industry. I have no idea why he approach with such a bad demeanor, and to diagnose only by glancing up and nothing else, is NOT what I would define as good service. As you can imagine, I haven't called them again, nor will I. 2 strikes in 2 days, that's it! read more

I would give 100 stars if I could. I had some small concerns about the alignment of my garage door. I have very little knowledge of garage doors and wasn't sure if it was a garage door issue or a foundation issue. I called Boulder Garage Door at 10:40 AM. By 1:00 PM on the same day, Jared, from BGD, rang my doorbell. Less than 3 hours of my initial call, there was a specialist at my front door. He couldn't have been more friendly. He was extremely knowledgable about everything that was my garage door. Initially I thought I was just getting a once over inspection of my garage. Within 20 minutes of him looking at it, he was able to give me a clear suggestion of the services they offer. I decided to do a full, premium re-build of the entire door lifting mechanism. However he was happy to offer cheaper methods as well. He was not trying to up-sell me in any way. After deciding I wanted the full re-building, I figured I'd need to schedule an appointment a few weeks out to have the repair done, right? WRONG! He was fully prepared with all of the parts and tools in his truck to do the repair on the spot. By 3:00 PM, my garage door had a premium re-build. Extremely impressive service in this day and age. My garage is now much quieter, closes like it is new, and I now have a quality technician's phone number whom I can call for any questions or concerns! Jared with Boulder Garage Door came for our install out in Elizabeth today and two things stood out the most. 1. He was prompt and efficient and even went above the call to action to ensure longevity of the new door. He also educated about new lining or trim some point in the future and was incredibly professional. 2. He was kind and personalized his visit to our needs and family. For instance, he showed up early (which is great) but while I was gone taking my daughter to school. He stayed a few minutes until I got back home and didn't just leave and blow us off. He also waited while we moved our cars, and was really appreciative we moved all our garage junk to the back of the garage, which seemed like should be common sense for people having new stuff installed to move everything so the business can work, but to my surprise, that is not the case. He also met my son, he is five year old and was out riding his bike while Jared was here and Jared talked with my son and was so friendly and kind with my little one. He seemed like someone that was there to do a job as a friend and not necessarily someone there to do a job for a business. Jared was amazing--not sure how he was able to replace our 2-door wide broken garage door by himself but he did it incredibly well and quickly in the freezing cold. He was so friendly and helpful and capable, I hope Boulder Garage Door knows how am of an employee they have with him! Was able to schedule a free consultation quickly and really liked the options the salesperson provided. Didn't receive confirmation that the consultation was happening but they arrived in the stated window and reached out 30min-1hour before to let us know they were on their way. There was some confusion with the office about the garage door we selected being in stock, so maybe they need to update their system, but luckily we got that resolved relatively quickly. Overall we were able to get a new garage door installed less than 2 weeks after we reached out. Super happy with the new door and motor and price. read more

They assured me that a repair service rep. would call back and the same morning Justin Parker called to say he'd arrive within 35 minutes. The door was stuck and we were unable to use over the weekend. So glad we kept Boulder Garage Door's number from a previous job the did. Mr. Parker is the best service rep. I have ever dealt with. His is a PRO! So friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable complete professional. He educated me on all aspects of the door and maintenance as well as planning ahead for future upkeep required. Called Boulder Garage Door to start my research on why my door was starting to make noise and not want to stay closed. They offered to come out the same day (less than an hour) at no charge to assess the problem. Most others wanted $89 to come out and assess - which also included a quick service. Jared from Boulder Garage Door arrived on time, explained the age, life expectancy of the motor, springs and cables, etc. He offered a $90 quick service and got everything working smooth. I asked about new rubber rollers to make it even more quiet and, not only did he had them on the truck, he installed those at the same time for just $150 more. A neighbor in Flatirons Neighborhood recommended that I call Boulder Garage Door to fix or replace my double garage door. The door was opening very slowly and quite noisily--the old springs seemed to be straining. I was afraid to put my car into the garage for fear they would snap. Bill, the owner, came out & gave me a very reasonable quote for a new lift mechanism. Based on a few estimates I received a year ago from 2 other companies, I thought I would have to replace the entire door for over $1,000. They did not provide an option to replace the mechanism only. We called Boulder garage because we had another company out to check out our garage. They said that it was in disrepair and needed to be replaced. We wanted to get a second opinion and compare prices if it did in fact need to be replaced. Leroy came out and took a look at it and did some tests and hooked up some wiring that was disconnected from the other company and found out that it only needed a tuneup and replacement of the sensors. He did that for a fraction of the cost of a new door! He was a very knowledgeable and straight shooting technician! We enjoyed having him over to take care of this issue for us. Boulder Garage Door is amazing! I just moved to the area and discovered my garage door wasn't working. Turns out one of the springs broke. Another company (a commercial chain company) came out and wanted to charge me $450 and their technician "discovered" other problems bringing my total costs over $700! That's when I decided to go with Boulder Garage Door, a locally and family owned business. They're honest, skilled and efficient and reasonably priced. We had used Boulder Garage Door at our previous home and had been very happy with them. We just moved, and needed to have the sensors adjusted at our new house. We inadvertently called the wrong garage door service and the technician who came out wanted $320 for to adjust the sensors. We sent him away and called the right place this time. Sean came right out and took care of us in no time. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable - and the entire call, including a quick tune up, cost $94. Not quite sure how Anytime Garage Door has hijacked Boulder Garage Door's website, but this is NOT the same company. Be VERY careful, do your research on Anytime Garage Door out of Nevada - they have tons of negative reviews for being a scam. I just got scammed on a garage door repair, the company ended up refunding $500 of the $1377 I paid, and it's still higher than what Overhead Garage Door would've charged. It's my fault for not doing my homework, don't get fooled by their fake reviews! Research the company for yourself. read more

Leroy came out to our house and fixed our garage that wasn't opening. He explained clearly how the spring had broken and some other parts were done on the cheap when our house was flipped several years ago before we bought it. He showed me what needed fixing and explained why. He also indicated what was a must fix and what was a maybe fix, which is rare these days. These guys are awesome. I called around 3:00 saying our opener was no longer working. I figured it would be at least a day, probably several, of opening and closing the door by hand. Nope. They were out at 7:00pm that day. They gave me the choice of cleaning and realigning the sensors, or getting new sensors. And recommending new sensors.
