Lots of trees to give shade while playing!
    Kendra S.

I have lived in Lancaster for years and never realized that a cute mini golf course was so close. A friend of our family (originally from Texas) said it was the prettiest mini golf course he has ever visited. We were there on a 70 degree day and with all the trees - I am sure we could have tolerated being there on a 90 degree day. The course has some obstacles (appropriate boulders!) and cute lighting. I definitely recommend this mini golf course and then have some ice cream at Scoops!

The place was ok. We went in the spring and there were a lot of mosquitoes flying around.

Great family fun with very pretty scenery. Good for older kids and adults not so much for little kids.

The staff is sweet and upbeat and even though it's counter service, the staff checked on us a few times. They have a playground so the smaller guest can play while they eat. As for the food, it's classic taste give you State Fair vibes without the sticker shock . I went with the staff recommendation of The Bang Bang Burger. Classic burger topped with cheddar, fried onion rings, and chipotle on sourdough toast. I couldn't even finish it but I had to make room for dessert. The milkshakes are dangerously good and I loved the speciality versions. Don't worry you can work the calories off with mini golf after. There was a weekend, clearly this is a local favorite rush but the staff kept the line moving and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Sidebar it's hard to find small town gems and not worry about the atmosphere, I'm happy to report it was welcoming and the crowd was diverse. If you're in the area and need a place to stop relax and enjoy some good eats, put The Shack on the top of your list.

Each child was $7.50, and I didn't have to pay. There's also a local discount, which was a nice bonus if your local (Central PA) . The best part is that your kids get wristbands for all-day access, so you can leave and come back later. The wristbands were convenient, but not every kid loves wearing them. One of mine tried to pull theirs off, so that's something to keep in mind. The entire village is set on turf, which made it feel clean and easy for kids to run around. There are around 10 little houses, all filled with fun, imaginative play setups. Things do get a little mixed around from kid to kid, but it didn't take away from the experience at all. There isn't much shade, and on a hot day it definitely makes a difference. We stayed for about an hour, from around 11 to 12, and that heat was the main reason we left. Food and drinks aren't allowed inside the village for kids, but parents can walk around with coffee, which is a plus. There is a food and drink stand on-site if you want to grab something. The setup overall is super convenient. Bathrooms are right there, and you pay at the main mini golf area when you arrive. There are also extra outdoor games included, like giant checkers and tic-tac-toe, which added even more value without extra cost. Parking is easy with angled spots, and when we went it wasn't crowded at all. The location is also perfect if you're already exploring nearby spots like Choo Choo Barn, Strasburg Rail Road, or Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. Everything is within about 10 minutes. There were a few bees and wasps around, which is expected for an outdoor space. It wasn't overwhelming, and it didn't interfere with play. This would be a great spot for playdates or casual meetups. The price is hard to beat, and it's an easy, fun outing for younger kids. I'd definitely go back, just aiming for a cooler day next time.

This is a small business running this arcade and it was a great experience. The age range of us are young adults around 18 and older. And the arcade games were fun for us as adults, so you can imagine your child would love it too. Please keep in mind we did not try the following: food, baseball cage, or mini golf area. The games are like a snippet in the past. There are SpongeBob related games which feels like the 90's in the arcade. A lot of the games are ball-based or involve hitting your target. This is a refreshing difference of modern games which are very screen-based. The staff were amazingly friendly! They did a great job with working with us and many parents and kids coming in and out. There were a few ticket machine problems but the situations were rectified quickly. Also the staff gave tips and tricks for which games were most fun to play. Thanks so much to our 2 staffers tonight. I wasn't able to get their names but they were a man and woman with beanies on. You were great! Very awesome experience even with the limitations of winter time.

Let's start with the bad first, this place is in dire need of some new turf, some of the holes just have the concrete pained green. This place also need a nice fresh coat of paint, everything has that slightly worn look to it. The other bad thing is all the holes have a slightly raised lip, making all the holes harder than they need to be. The good things about this course is that it is cheap, only $5 per adult, and $4 per child is a steal. The other good thing about this place is the classic old school feel of this place. It is a very retro course, lots of fiberglass animals, small buildings and things like that, the only thing it was missing was the windmill. It's mini golf that I grew up with. It is also very fun for what it is, this is one of the funner mini golf courses that I played. They also have a shaved ice and ice cream stand here, they have more flavors of shaved than I ever knew existed. The ice cream is pretty cheap and they are very generous with the portions they give. Overall if you want to play some cheap mini golf and go in with the proper expectations this is a good time. Just don't expect a perfect modern course.

It used to be owned by Rutter's, but no longer seems to be - but because of this it has a giant cow on one of the holes... Pretty funny overall. At $5 a person, it's a steal, too.
