They charged us another month of rent because they "couldn't rent the apartment out to anyone else because they didn't have the keys" which is a lie because they are legally obligated to change the locks after a tenant moves out to security purposes. They sent us a bill in the mail of all these incorrect charges causing them to withhold our security deposit and 7 days to dispute the charges. I didn't get the letter until 10 days after it was sent out because I live in North Carolina now. They sent the letter to my mom who also lives in North Carolina so it took 5 days to get to her, then a few days to get to me as soon as she received the letter. They said we owed them $3000 and withholding our security deposit took our final bill down to $1300 which is absolutely insane. If I would've received that letter sooner, I would've sued the absolute fuck out of them. If you decide to live here, keep proof and copies of everything and every document and MAKE SURE you put in maintenance requests for everything individually that's already damaged when you move in. Cover your ass. This company is disgusting.
