I was in the mood for a sub today, so I looked for the best local sub spots on Yelp and they came up! I called and ordered an Italian sub to go and was assisted by a pleasant and knowledgeable employee. They told me the sub would be ready in 10-15 minutes. They are located in a small building facing Oakland Park boulevard, just a bit east of Dixie Highway on the south side of the road. They're kind of hard to notice, but my GPS took me right there. Inside, other than the counter where you order, there are a few chairs and a table, a couple racks of chips and fridges with drinks. It's nothing fancy but that's not the point. You're here to get a sandwich. Or maybe you're looking for delivery? If so, you found a good spot. Upon arrival at their location a few minutes early, I was greeted and found that my sub had already been made. I paid and took it back to the office, which is about 5 minutes away. My sandwich was well-made and tasty. The ingredients were fresh, and the portions were generous. I didn't really dissect it to see catalog the cold cuts but the flavor I wanted was there and that's what matters. To be honest, I was only going to eat half of the 9" sub I ordered but it was so good I ate the whole thing, along with a bag of chips. It was also a great value for the money. This is one of those places that I love. It's a small local business that does a great job. I will be returning and updating my review once I try a few other menu items. This spot is super close to my house and let me tell you, if you're looking for a good sub this your place. I usually utilize the lunch specials they run and I'm never disappointed. We've lived in the area and have passed Boulevard Subs for years and finally tried it today. Such an endearing small sub shop, opened in 1984, focused on good ol' hospitality and quality. The owner is vibrant and obviously cares about his business and his community. They customized my chicken salad sandwich (light mayo, scooped out sub), which they make freshly in small batches, and my boyfriend got a deli sub made with Boar's Head. Sub rolls are fresh from Cusanos. Love finding small businesses like this that are able to thrive. read more

I haven't had Boulevard Subs since I worked accross the street net to USPS in the 80's. It was always highly regarded sub shop and I can see nothing has changed as far as the taste and quality. Today I ordered 6" cheese steak with onions and it was just perfect everything for me. Perfect amount of meat and liberal onions for my taste. In my opinion the bread can make or break a sandwich but BSs has it down. Really enjoyed this thanks I will be ordering soon just have to remember you close at 3pm. read more

Can't say enough about why you MUST get your subs from Boulevard Subs. I travel often for work but whenever I'm in town I have to stop here at least once. Ingredients are always fresh, meat is best quality, and bread is perfect. My favorites are the steak bomb and plain old turkey (they always know it's one of the two when I call or come in) and the banter with owner Marco and the girls up front is the next best part of this cozy lunch spot. I am a sub guy...I've always been a sub guy since I was a kid. I've had my fair share and I have also been to some of the best places like: Publix, Laspadas, 620 Subs, Jimmy Johns, Firehouse Subs, Hungry Bear, Substantials, and Subrageous. Those places don't even come close to what Boulevard Subs creates. Their Roast Beef sub is like Christmas morning, but every day. I would always forget to take a picture of the sub for my friends because as soon as I have it in front of my it just disappears. The bread is baked fresh everyday, the cold cuts are packed with flavor, the provolone is just out of this world, the sweet peppers are incredible, and the Italian dressing sprinkled with oregano just sets the whole thing off. These subs have so much flavor! None of the toppings or condiments clash with each other; they compliment each other without being overpowering. I would put Boulevard subs against any sub joint out there. Marco, who is the owner, knows his guests b/c they are regulars there; I have become a regular there. He knows everyone's name, who they are, what they do, even what sub they want before they order it. I am a guest for life at Boulevard Subs...I'm actually heading over there in a few.
