This move was actually the fourth time I have used Roadhaugs and I could not be any more pleased…read more Even though I was a returning customer known to them from the first contact through the last of the delivery, and then the third-party people who came to uncrate some of the special furniture, communication was crystal clear, very positive and informative. Above all else their ability to truly communicate and keep their customers up to date is so helpful and keeps things consistent. Much appreciated. Bruce was extremely helpful getting everything planned and scheduled and Shannon, as always, followed through and kept everything moving along the entire time. There's something special about Roadhaugs that nobody else seems to have and that is they care about their clients and treat them as their own family. Some of the packers that came to pack and load the house were with me on the first move so they knew my things and they knew the routine because I have some unusual and valuable furniture and instruments. The delivery crew that showed up here at the house to drop everything off, totally new to me and I knew none of them when they arrived, but by the time they left, we were all on very friendly terms, and I cannot speak highly enough about them. They were all absolutely magnificent and always are with Roadhaugs. Not only would I recommend them in the highest regard to anyone who has a relocation coming up or even if you need something moved in your home or from one building to another. They move for the Steinway piano gallery in Charlotte, and were recommended to me by another musician and colleague friend of mine who had used them before as well. The fact that they were expert movers, I would even go so far as to say "white glove" movers, makes them even more desirable and trusting ones life possessions and memories with them. Again, I cannot thank Roadhaugs enough and will absolutely use them again should I need to relocate but, at this point, I'm hoping that's not in my future! I will also continue to, and have, recommended them to friends and colleagues who will be moving or who need assistance with their instruments. Thank you again, Roadhawgs, I appreciate everyone of you more than I can put into words here, but please know that I mean every word of my thanks sincerely and from the bottom of my heart Most sincerely yours, Scott and Rosie

‼ DO NOT HIRE Road Haugs Moving & Storage ‼…read more My experience with this moving company was incredibly disappointing during my very first experience with "professional movers". I paid for additional packing services, including having the movers provide a specialty TV box, professionally pack my television, transport it, unpack it, and set it up in my new home. I trusted that paying for these extra services would ensure my belongings were handled with care. (The TV box they provided was documented in my inventory - therefore it was a charge) After the move, I discovered my television had sustained damage that was not present before the move. When I filed a claim, I offered to provide evidence showing that my TV was in excellent working condition prior to the move, and Shannon basically told me that it won't make a difference. Despite my efforts to provide legitimate documentation supporting my claim, it was disregarded. Instead, I was told there was "no evidence" the damage occurred during the move. What makes that response especially frustrating is that the movers were the ones who unpacked my television, set it up, and disposed of the TV box themselves. Because they removed and discarded the packaging, I never had the opportunity to inspect it or preserve it as evidence. It feels incredibly unfair to deny responsibility based on the absence of evidence that I was never given the chance to retain. To make matters worse, the company offered me approximately $30 in compensation based solely on the weight of the television under its limited liability policy. Anyone knows that the value of modern electronics has nothing to do with their weight. A nearly new television is not suddenly worth $30 because it doesn't weigh much. Offering such a nominal amount felt less like an attempt to resolve the issue and more like a dismissive gesture that completely disregarded the actual value of the property that was damaged while in their care. I also want to point out that I treated the moving crew with appreciation and respect. I tipped EACH MOVER $145 in cash because I genuinely believed they had worked hard and wanted to show my gratitude. I took care of their employees because I believed I was dealing with a company that valued honesty and customer service. In return, I have been treated as though my concerns are not credible and as though I am trying to obtain something I don't deserve. What has been most upsetting throughout this process is not just the damaged television. Rather than being treated like a valued customer who paid for premium packing services, I have felt as though I was being called a liar. I expected accountability and professionalism from a company entrusted with my belongings, not to have my evidence dismissed and my integrity questioned. A company's true character is reflected in how it handles problems, and in my case, I felt dismissed, disrespected, and taken advantage of. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. People of Charlotte, Spend your dollars elsewhere. (Attached is their prepared settlement and attempt to save face - I DID NOT SIGN OR ACCEPT).

A coworker recently asked for moving company recommendations, and I remembered how great of an…read moreexperience I had with Ted's in 2017. That prompted me to make sure I had left a review, which looks like I didn't, so here I am. The owner, Ted, is an Air Force veteran, and his discipline really shows in his moving company as well. Everything him and his crew moved for me made it in perfect condition with no dings to the walls or doors. I also really liked that when we made it to my new place, we went through the condo and gave each room a name. So as the crew brought boxes and furniture in, I simply had to tell them which room to put it in. They even helped me assemble the furniture and centered everything. Which, I'm a stickler for, so the centering was much appreciated. High quality service, well thought out process, and reasonably priced.

Ted's Moving promises to deliver exceptional service and a pleasurable experience. And that is…read moreexactly what Ted and his crew delivered for a recent labor-only job for which I had hired them. I hired Ted and his crew to unload a 22-foot rental truck in the Charlotte area. On move day, as I had requested, Ted texted me 30 minutes in advance that he was en route. Ted and his 2 helpers, Vlad and Jeremy, showed up on time and started work as soon as I parked and opened the door of the truck. Ted brought all the required equipment (dollies, carts and a handtruck + straps for the mattress) and even provided a battery-operated fan for me to use while I waited on the back of the truck (to keep an eye on all of the stuff), where temperatures in the summer can exceed 100 degrees. That fan kept me cool throughout the move. Ted and his helpers worked very hard for 4 hours to get all of the items into the elevator and up into the apartment. They honored my requests and never once complained about any aspect of the job, including an additional 150-foot walk across the parking garage no one knew about. Everyone was professional, friendly, and very easy to work with. I am happy to report that all items made it safely into the apartment. Ted, Vlad and Jeremy made sure to unwrap all of the items, place them where requested, and to put all of the boxes in the specific room marked on each box. They also re-assembled a table and removed all of the tape from the moving blankets. It was a stress-free experience from start to finish. If you're in the Charlotte area and looking for professional, affordable movers with a great attitude and work ethic, don't hesitate to call Ted. I had a 5-star experience and have no doubt you will as well. Thanks again to Ted, Vlad and Jeremy for doing a fantastic job.
