During that time, we watched multiple tables that were seated at least 30 minutes after us receive -- and finish -- the very same dishes we had ordered. By the time our food finally arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty. To make matters worse, the $20 fried gator po'boy initially arrived cold and rubbery, and had to be sent back. Thankfully, when it was remade, it was everything it should have been: hot, crispy on the outside, tender and juicy within, and bursting with flavor -- easily the highlight of the meal. Adding to the frustration, our appetizer, which had been ordered with our drinks, wasn't brought out until we were nearly done eating. That said, if you're fortunate enough to receive your food hot and in a timely manner, the kitchen clearly has the potential to impress. I might consider giving the place one more try for the food alone -- but given the poor service, it's unlikely. Hence, the one-star review.

The menus are on the table but you really don't need a menu here since there are only a few items. Everyone comes here for po-boys obviously and they have a few to choose from. The top 2 choices are the most common, the special and the surf and turf. To me, what makes a good po-boy, is the bread....like many other sandwiches. If you have great bread, you're usually making a good sandwich. I tried the small special, while the rest of the table tried either the special or surf and turf. They don't have a formal kids menu, but they just have either PB&J or grilled cheese. We tried the grilled cheese. My fav ended up being the surf and turf due to it being cleaner to eat and more variety of taste and texture between the bread. I liked the special, but I forgot to ask the server to remove the American cheese, so it made it taste funny and would have been better without it.
