Horrible company. Do not use. I wasted my morning and afternoon waiting for them to deliver my u-haul box (a move I already paid for through u-haul, so now I have no idea how I'm going to get my money back). They were supposed to come at 10. At 11, the receptionist texted me and asked me if they were there yet. I replied that they weren't and she said she would check in with them. After a number of texts and calls to them over the course of two hours, they finally responded that there was an "emergency" and that they are forced to "cancel" the job. They said they were on the phone the whole time (3 hours??) trying to deal with the worker's emergency. It's unprofessional that the receptionist wouldn't return my calls and texted me back that they were canceling the job. She still hasn't responded to my last text message. When my u-haul box was loaded in California, the company I used for that side of the move was incredibly communicative and let me know when there was a delay at the u-haul center in getting the u-haul box. This is how customer service SHOULD work. I already prepaid and will probably have to spend hours on the phone with u-haul trying to get my money back from them and figuring out another company to deliver my ubox, and possibly might be charged for another month of storage at u-haul. read more

At first, I was very happy with the service. I hired Bourne Solutions through Uhaul (Moving Help) to pack up my Ubox for a move. They were quick and mostly professional. However, when my items were delivered to my new home, I was HORRIFIED. The way they packed this box resulted in hundreds of dollars worth of damage. My sofa was taken apart and the pieces to put it back together cannot be found anywhere. Plastic bins were packed in there in a way that caused many of them to literally split open and spill contents everywhere. My bookshelf was not blanket wrapped, and therefore ended up with HUGE gashes in the wood. Additionally, I provided two plastic bed bags for my mattress and box spring. They used it on the box spring, but NOT the $1,800 mattress. It arrived horribly dirty. When my items arrived, I reached out to the company to voice my concerns and ask for some kind of compensation for the damage. I still have not heard back. I'm disappointed in the service, the treatment of my items, and wasted money. I hope Uhaul discontinues their relationship with this company. Do not ever use this company. The woman who runs the company tries to rip you off in every way. I hired this company for 2 movers to help me, they sent three to charge me more on the moving cost. 1 of the 3 movers who showed up spent the entire time puking outside my apartment. Another mover took smoke breaks every 15 minutes and honestly was pretty useless (My family moved double the amount he did). Only one of the three movers was actually helpful. The woman who drove them there, the owner of the company showed up 15 minutes after the two hours and then tried charging me for 3 hours for 3 movers, a total of $345 when my estimate was $205. The movers only worked for maybe 1.5 hours (not even) so I pushed back and asked for her to charge me for 2 movers for 2 hours...as one puked the entire time he was there. She was rude and confrontation and then agreed to charge me $205. I gave her my credit card information and thought we were good. 6 months after the move I get a call from her that I gave her the wrong credit card information and she said she was being polite and wasn't going to take me to Collections. She never once contacted asking about the credit card prior to this and then when she read me my credit card numbers back they were the correct numbers....so she was straight up lying. Then she proceeded to charge me for the $345 (3 movers for 3 hours) when we agreed that day is should be the $205. I called her back and said that amount is not correct and she was rude yet again saying I was wrong and that she would give me a discount of $100, which is still not the correct amount. She also said she would send me the invoice. It is now 4 weeks after this conservation...I have yet to have my charge of $345 adjusted at all and she never sent me the invoice. My credit card company is unable to fix this dispute as they cannot get in touch with this woman. read more

Unreliable - not only did Jake not show up as scheduled, but he refused to answer his phone. Even a text message would have avoided a huge headache. Incredibly and unnecessarily inconsiderate. read more

ZERO stars. I hired Bourne Solutions for a September 1, 2019 move from South Boston to Somerville, MA. 10 minutes before their promised 9am arrival, I received a call from the truck drivers saying that they were unable to get the truck down my street as it was too big and there were "no truck" signs everywhere (meanwhile, I was staring at 3 moving trucks in front of my apt the same size as the one coming from Bourne...). I received a text from the company manager that the driver had "refused to do the job, and there was nothing that could be done." I asked if they could at least help me on the Somerville end if I could figure out a way there. No response. I asked if I could talk to a manager. No response. In fact, I never heard from them again. Essentially, Bourne Solutions ghosted me on the busiest moving day of the year. As a company based near Boston, they should have known the moving truck situation before committing to my move and then canceling (leaving me stranded!!). The whole situation felt like the ultimate scam. I STRONGLY discourage anyone from hiring this unprofessional and unreliable moving service. Worst experience possible. read more

Jake and Matty were super efficient in getting my move done on short notice. He was responsive and reliable. Both were friendly and courteous. There were a couple snags on my end, but he and Matty made the most of their time and were very productive. He showed up on time as promised and made my move as easy as possible. Great rates compared to most movers out there. Would definitely use them again. read more

ZERO STARS I received and email the morning of my move, July 1, an email, not a phone call. After confirming multiple times with Bourne Solutions. The email said, "Could we please change your move time to 3pm instead of 1pm because someone called out sick?" I immediately called Shay, the person I had been in contact with to coordinate the move, and she picked up right away. I told her that that would not work for us, as we only had the truck up until a certain time, and had scheduled this weeks ago so that we would not run into these types of problems. She completely understood, said she would call her boss, and figure something out. Within half an hour she called back telling me it was all set, and that her boss would come out and do the job himself, with another mover. She even added that he might even be early, I hope that's ok? I said great, that would work, and thank you so much! Crisis averted, right? WRONG. VERY VERY WRONG. 1:15pm came along and no one was there, called and no answer, 1:30 same thing, 1:45, 2:00, 2:30. Still no call, no show. I thought, well maybe by 3pm like they originally had wanted to do that morning. I hoped anyway. No one ever showed up. No one ever called. No one would pick up the phone. Very, very, very unprofessional and disappointing. We are two strong women, moving into a 4th floor apartment, with some heavy items we could not possibly carry ourselves. We wanted to avoid hurting ourselves, as we are both nurses and have long careers ahead of ourselves both physically and mentally. And we also wanted to avoid straining the bodies of our family and friends. We thought, let's get professionals to do the heavy lifting it will be worth it. This company is anything but professional. I would not recommend them moving a piece of junk, because it will probably still be exactly where you left it. read more

First, let me say that the actual helpers (Julio and Brandon) did fine. The administrative part of the business - namely Bourne Solutions and the "contact" Cassandra - were HORRIBLE. Unresponsive, unprofessional, manipulative, and unapologetic. First, I got an email the day before the scheduled job confirming for a day later than I booked. I left voicemail and emailed to make sure they were coming as booked, and I got no response all day. I went to bed figuring they would not show. When I woke up, I had gotten an email response in the middle of the night confirming that I had the date right and that they were coming as I had booked, between 11-12. By 1:00 I was calling to see where they were; no answer or reply to my voicemail. At 1:30 I got a call from Hire A Helper, who said Bourne Soultions was on the other line and was trying to get in touch with me but that I was not answering. Also, I had double-booked them through another site... that I had never heard of. LIES. I literally was waiting at home, with my phone, for hours. Hire A Helper - who obviously had no problem getting through to me - told me that now that they had confirmed that they had the right number, Bourne would call me right after Hire A Helper got off the line with them, for the purpose of updating me. I told Hire A Helper that, for what it was worth, it sounded like Bourne was trying to pull a fast one on them. I gave Hire A Helper my other phone number to give to Bourne, just in case they "couldn't get through" again. Well, not surprisingly, Bourne did not call as promised. At 2:30 (3 hours after their scheduled arrival) one of the helpers finally called to tell me they were 15 minutes away. At 2:55, 3-4 hours after they were supposed to arrive, a BMW arrived (evidently driven by Cassandra, who never actually had the gumption to talk to me directly) and dropped off the two helpers. They arrived so late that I could not use them for the full time I was paying them for, since I had to pick up my child from school. I could only use them for 50 minutes, and I had to pay for a 2-hour minimum. What a SCAM. read more

I have moved A LOT and sometimes you're not sure what to expect on short notice. These guys were great! Extremely nice, very professional, reasonable rates & confirmed back to me more than once & with an invoice. That put my mind at ease. They were timely (actually early!) and got the move done in short order. Jake had quoted me a rate for 4 guys and ended up giving me a break on the rate when one guy was sick. I would use them again in a second & will recommend them. read more

Booked Bourne Solutions through Uhaul for a Ubox move that was going to be short and straightforward. First they reschedule a 9 am move to 1 pm, then called the night before to change it to 2 pm. On the day of the move, I called and emailed to confirm the time with no reply. At 2:15 pm they texted me to say they weren't coming - ever - and that I would have to cancel the move through their website. They gave me a similar story to other reviewers on here - claiming an "emergency" - which appears to be a lie. I called and texted asking for their assistance with referrals to other movers, explaining that I was without internet and computer due to being packed for the move. I never received a reply or heard from them again. As they were also supposed to pick up the UBox, I wasn't even able to begin packing myself, so this left me with more than an "inconvenience", which the text message glibly apologized for.
