Located off the I-10, halfway between New Hope and Centennial, Arizona (LAT 33.611799, LON -113.646031). Twice in as many years, we've stopped on our drive to and from the Phoenix area to use the restrooms and stretch our legs. Good, easy access parking lots (separate lots for trucks and passenger vehicles), clean grounds, and facilities, but I did notice that they were missing hand soap in the restrooms, and only one of the two hand air dryers were working (no paper towels). After leaving the main cities of Arizona on the 10 Fwy, Bouse Wash Rest Area is the first rest area you hit heading west so do take advantage of it because the next rest area is about 50+ miles away. That's what I did. It was a very quick stop for a restroom break. My eldest daughter didn't need to go so it was just me. Rest area is very clean and well kept. Women's restroom was decent. Toilet supplies were adequate. Sometimes I wonder when these rest area restrooms are refilled. These rest areas have been around so I'm sure they have it down to a science. Besides restrooms, they have covered picnic tables and chairs for people to sit, eat, and take a break after a long drive. They also have an area for pets, too. Very Very clean restroom with all the amenities in place- toilet paper, hand soap and hand dryers. We had a stopover here between Arizona and California and this rest area came so convenient since the next rest stop was 52 miles away. There was a cleaning person who seem to be on top of his game and made sure the restrooms were stocked and clean. There were also shaded picnic areas where families can have their meal or just rest. Definitely the hottest he'll on earth on your way back into the Phoenix area...not that bad, but close. It's one of the smaller rest stops you'll run into along the stretch of 10, but it's an easy stop for the bathroom or to stretch your legs. Bathrooms are clean enough. read more

It's a long stretch across a bleak ,to the point of otherworldly, landscape before and after this official "rest stop, with services". This rest area always seems remarkably clean. Almost magically so , because I don't ever see a lot of staff scurrying about . Kudos to the elusive cleaning crew however , for it is certainly spiffy at all times . Kudos also to my fellow humans ...those who use it well as well ,,, everyone it seems , works together to keep this a pleasant pit stop for the next person . How exceptionally remarkable . For a handicapped person it is the worst one I have ever seen. The handicapped parking is a 100ft walk uphill, often in 100+ temps. My mom uses a walker and tripped on the uneven pavement . I moved my car to the upper parking area (for the semis) and there wasn't any ramp for her, only curbing...even though handicapped signs were everywhere. read more

This is Arizona so it's hot, the ground is rocks and dirt sprinkled with sparse vegetation, and there's not much else here. Fortunately, there is a little bit of shade and and area in which to walk your pets. The restrooms were clean enough, but unfortunately there was but a single roll of toilet paper in the entire female restroom. Now, that may not seem like such a big deal to the males reading this review, but I guarantee you all the female readers are cringing about now. There was also a line of women waiting to get into the stalls that consisted of a plucky band of women informing each new member that entered their midst of the dire situation and passing said roll of toilet paper down the line so each person could take what they needed before entering the stall. This was around 2 pm on a Thursday. I can only imagine the terror and chaos that must have ensued when the final square of tp was finally stripped from the roll at some point later in the day. Oh, the horror of it all. Other than that, it was a perfectly adequate rest stop. Be warned, though, that if you're headed East, the next rest stop is currently closed, so this may be your last chance to, um, unload... If you're headed West, there is an exit 7 miles on with a gas station which may or may not be a better bet. read more

Great spot to stop if you enjoy using clean, well maintained restrooms. There are plenty of parking spots. If you're stopping at night it's well lit and open. Feels safer than most rest stop areas. Up side if you're traveling with dogs and or kids there are a few little paved walking areas which are nice. read more

It is a rest stop. There is hot water in the sinks, not like a public park. The restrooms were very clean and some tourist information posters were visible, as well as trash cans. There is a good mountain view when getting out. It is a PokéStop as well. There is a gym on the way back though. read more

This rest stop would probably be the closest to a prison bathroom that I've ever encountered. The scenery consists of rocks. Rocks as far as the eye can see. My dog haaaaaated it here. She wanted nothing to do with walking around and going potty. Another thing of note was the garbage cans. They were not maintained at all. It's a rest stop off the 10 and you feel relatively safe here. There's a lot of space so if you want to stretch your legs (or your pets') this is a good place to go. Restrooms are reasonably clean. There are also vending machines. They have some signs telling you about the area too. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit here but for a rest stop, it suffices. read more

Stopped on 8/31/19, In the morning of Labor Day weekend and it was filthy. All the trash cans were overflowing. There was no toilet paper in the stalls and left over waste products were everywhere. Thank you Arizona for all the beautiful rest areas on I-10. This one is right on par with all of them. Has extensive walkways lots of parking lots of picnic benches with little Huts over them that break the wind or shade from the Sun. There's lots of Vending even a brick patio by the vending machines and of course the usual lots of restrooms this one has an extensive amount of parking and is highly used on this particular weekend for sure enjoy read more
