You know what, this is going to be a random review but I absolutely have to leave 5 stars. I was on my way back to California from Arizona and ran over some piece of metal on the 60. My car is lowered so when I ran it over the metal piece got stuck underneath my car and I ended up dragging it about 25-30 miles. Not good... ANYWAYS. This was the next nearest gas station to me and when I pulled in they had this extra long windshield cleaning brush thing and it worked PERFECTLY to get this annoying piece of metal out from underneath my car. Thank goodness because I don't know how else I would have gotten this out from underneath my car ... props to Arco for having such long cleaning brushes LOL. read more

It could have been much worse and I would have been satisfied--it's a gas station! Everyone is just driving through, they can't expect many repeat customers really. This is another ARCO Indian-owned gas station...."Singh". I stop at this ARCO station when I drive between Scottsdale and San Diego, to get gas, cos it is the cheapest station around, before you go into Calif. And when you buy $10+ you can use your credit card, which ARCOs do not allow. They allow credit cards here because there are so many RVs living in Quartzsite and so many passing through. They know me here. However I came to Quartzsite in Jan 2019 for an RV rally and it WAS $10 minimum for credit card. So I told the 35 people at my RV rally where to get cheap Top Tier gas that takes credit card if you buy min $10. But when I came to get gas, the Indian clerk (he works there regularly) told me I couldn't use my credit card cos I bought $15, and I had to spend at least $20. I told him you said $10 min so I told all the people in my RV club it was $10, and then now it is $20. Then they are gonna say I told them wrong. Then he says , "Ok $10". I said I already told people they could come here for Top Tier gas, and posted it on the Toyota RV website. They embarrassed me one day $10 min, next day $20 min, and then now it is $10 min again (yesterday). Now I go to the register and MAKE SURE IT IS TILL $10. I buy the Mexican (Helios?) ice cream bar, used to be 99 cents. When I went yesterday Nov 10, price marked on the ridge case said $1.49, but at the cash register, it pleased me to be charged only $1.25, and that was when they scanned the ice cream bar. I have paid $1.49 before this, now it is $1.25. At least somethings go down over time. So many inconsistences. I really like their ice at the drink dispensers, it is the crunchy ice that you can make snow cone out of. I love Pepsi with this ice. The fan in the woman's restroom used to be super loud, but I did not notice that yesterday. read more

Drive here to use my Arco discount and they did not honor the discount . 2 miles down the road was 15 cents less per gallon. It also also advertise in gas buddy that the price is 4.19 for cash . That's not right either . If you try to correct the right price for the other customers . So my mother just put gas today and the cashier (an older white lady) was very rude to her pretending not to understand when my mother was speaking to her. She even mocked her trying to speak spanish when there was no need to.. My mother is US naturalized citizen and has worked very hard in this country and paid all her dues and got all all her children through college. Obviously, she doesn't speak perfect English but she tries her best. The cashier put no effort in trying to understand and kept punching the wrong amount on the gas pump. On Thursday, October 20th, at about 10:15 PM, I stopped at this gas station on my drive from Phoenix to Los Angeles. As I usually do. I live in Los Angeles, but am often in Phoenix. Since gasoline is cheaper in Arizona, it makes sense to fill up the tank at the last town before the border. I had three quarters of a tank, so I was just topping off, and figured five dollars would probably do it. I counted out five singles while waiting in line. The cashier was a kid who was being trained by a not very nice tall man in black. He took my money without looking at me. Talking to the kid in Arabic. Normally, the cashier at a gas station will say, "That's five dollars at pump one." I waited for this, but it never came, so I just said it myself. He seemed annoyed and snapped, "Yes, yes, pump one." Again, without looking at me. The pump slowed to a stop at four dollars. Hmmm. Did he enter the wrong amount? Had I only given him four? I went back inside. The young kid didn't know what to do, so we waited for the not very nice tall man in black. After I explained politely, he said I had given him four dollars, not five. Okay, perhaps it was my mistake. I went out to my car and checked my receipts. I'd been to the bank the day before, and had only spent cash at three places since. Carwash. Goodwill. The gas station in Phoenix. When I added up the money I'd spent, and compared it to the cash in my wallet, I was a dollar short. I'd given him five singles. Part of me thought, why bother? It was probably an honest mistake, and it's just a dollar. Another part of me remembered a time when a dollar meant the difference between eating that day and not. I went back in. As politely as possible, I asked the not very nice tall man in black to count his register. I know perfectly well (having been a cashier myself for four years) that all it takes is a few minutes to count the tray and take a reading. If he is over a dollar, then I had indeed given him five singles, and not the four he entered. The man started screaming at me. He told me to come back in the morning and speak to the manager. He said something about checking the tape from the security cameras. He was yelling and gesturing wildly, as if I had done something wrong. I stayed calm and said that I was only asking him to count the tray. He kept screaming at me. Right in front of the kid he was supposed to be training. Then he opened the drawer, took out a dollar bill, slammed it down on the counter and yelled "FUCK!" This was rather violent, and I was startled by his reaction. When I reached for the dollar, he grabbed it out of my hand, put it back in the drawer, and told me I was not allowed to ever come back in the store. I noted out loud that there was something wrong with him, and asked for a business card so I could call the manager. He wrote down a number (602-810-7393) on a slip of paper and thrust it at me. Then added his name (Kpole.) As I was walking away, in shock, he repeated the gesture with the dollar bill. "Here, you want this dollar?" Then he held up a five and said, "You want a five? Come and take it." I said, "No, but I will take the dollar," and did. After getting on the highway, I took the next exit, still in Quartszite, and pulled over, puzzled by the force of this man's anger. I once more took out my wallet and did the math. Sure enough, I was right. I had given him five singles, not four. So why was his reaction so violent? Was this a cultural thing? Had I inadvertently challenged his manhood by pointing out his error? Was he intentionally stealing a dollar here, a dollar there? Whatever the case, the manager needs to know that this employee is either careless or dishonest, and most importantly, he has poor customer service skills. Yelling "FUCK!" at a customer is never acceptable. read more

Filled my DEF tank here and 3 hours later I have a check engine light with the warning DEF is bad. Looked it up and stored DEF should not be exposed to sunlight and high temperature. At this station they do both. And now I have a service call to pay for, a new tank of DEF and a new filter. I want to thank the owner for not following directions of your chemical manufacturer. Not your typical arco that you would expect. For the most part in Cali and arco comes with an am.pm, but not this one if you are looking for that then this is not the place to come. Overall it was nice and clean inside a bit lonely. The location is a bit of from freeway but you can still find it if you really wanted too. I went into the store and was greeted. That's good , the worker or owner disappeared. The soft drink station had a bad sour smell. There was trash and it was a smelly visual mess. I proceed to check out with my fountain drink and pay the 35 cent convenience fee on top of my purchase. I take a sip of my drink and instantly realized the drink was bad. Propane isn't always available. We've been there twice for propane and neither time was someone working that could dump it. Counter lady super unfriendly. There are lots of other places in town where at least you have a friendly clerk. Wrong pump number was put in by other people. Lady had to be convinced to print receipt so we could see whose card was charged. At first she refused but was later convinced to do so. We obviously won't make another trip to this place. read more

Got off the highway to get gas here at around 6:30 AM. We went to pull into this Arco gas station and all the pumps were taped off and closed down! Complete inconvenience for the traveler that is on a time frame. We had to turn around and sit through the traffic light, wasting more time, and go to the Chevron across the road. read more

Chose this gas station because they had the best cash prices for my Diesel pickup. After paying cash, fueling, and going to get my change, my receipt read that I did not get the cash price so I asked the attendant and he said I was supposed to tell him that I was fueling Diesel. Needless to say, he should have honored it regardless but because he didn't - I will NEVER EVER again fuel up at an ARCO again. Bad Customer Service. read more

This pit stop was a disaster. They wouldnt take my card at the pump. They wouldnt open the pump for me to fill up. If you use a debit card they charge you the extra 2% thing. The lady at the counter was nice but charge my card 10 dollars instead of 30 for gas. The bathrooms were awful. The gas pumps didnt have trash cans at every station so there was just trash laying around. The food station was a disaster and looked like it was a storage area. I will not be stopping here again on my next road trip. read more

The lights were very dim and not one single car was here except the employee working inside... I was waiting for the zombies to attack me in the middle of nowhere.
