Been stopping here for years. Gas is on the cheap side and as of this writing the Pilot/Flying J app has a 10 cent/gal discount, which you need to renew monthly. Once in awhile the receipt doesn't print, so you have to go inside or , if using the app, print it from the app. The C-store was redone in 2024. Newer fixture and fresh food offering. The restrooms were improved. I haven't used the shower services at this location. Really busy in "snowbird" season but not a problem after dark or in the off season. Horrible experience and kicking ourselves for not going to Loves. Pump shut off but the counter kept running and had enough time to grab the phone and take multiple videos prior to it shutting off. We went inside to let the attendant know and he cut us off, rolled his eyes, and clearly couldn't be bothered to listen. Him nor the attendant next to him didn't care to ask which pump or care enough to fix the issue -- they gave a completely false half attempt at an explanation to how the counter works, then just handed me cash for one gallons worth of gas moved on. We stop here for gas only. We've never been inside... the pump area is great! They have giant buckets filled with soapy water for your windows, I've never seen them empty. Driving along the 10, those buckets are the driving force of my five star review. Depending on the season, bugs on the windshield need more than what my wipers can handle. Clean soapy water at the pumps is very much appreciated. Thank you! The location couldn't be better with a McDonalds in the same parking lot. We're able to fill up and get food next door with ease. Just stopped here briefly to get gas and snacks on way back from Phoenix. I had a discount on my Pilot/Flying J app get 2 gas fill ups over 5 gallons get 2 snacks free! This was the 2nd of 2!!! I got a Giant Slim Jim as one of the snacks. I also have 10 cents discount for gas so I paid $3.81 instead of $3.91 in Arizona instead of ridiculous gas prices in California! I also go a cherry Pepsi to wash down my snacks. I love these stores as they always have lots of great items! I like to go to stations that are on the same side of the freeway I am traveling. This is a great place to stop except if you want Dairy Queen ice cream. Then I advise you not to stop because although the ice cream was great, the server was rude. I had exact change so I put it on the counter but she refused to pick it up. She wanted me to put it in her hand but finally she rolled eyes and picked it up. Stopped in here for gas and some snacks while heading back home. I've been here quite a few times while heading back to San Diego. The store has definitely been renovated recently and it looks great! I found this gas station off the 10 freeway exit 17, on Main st this Pilot gas station is small, but it's currently under construction for the next 6-8 months they will not be closing for construction. They are taking out Dairy Queen & Subway and adding a Taco bell along with expanding the restrooms, updating trucker showers, & adding another cooler for alcohol, because at this point they don't sell beer or wine. Due to construction parking is very limited unless you park in the side or back if McDonald's which is adjacent to Pilot. The staff is very nice, and the store is usually clean, but with construction going on there is dust & noise. I must mention that the price of gas has been considerably consistent between $3.97-$4.09, compared to California & Phoenix prices these prices are not bad at all. I'm in Phoenix now & the price of gas is $4.99. So if you're driving through AZ or to CA, stop by exit 17 in Quartzite for reasonable prices on gas. read more

This is our usual gas stop from Arizona on our way to Palm Springs and it saddens me to see how many homeless people wander around the small town of Quartzsite I've never felt so unsafe until yesterday. People follow you around the Pilot J store inside and out i literally had to carry my pepper spray in my hand. My daughter traveled thru AZ in July 2023 and stopped at Pilot in Quartsize, AZ for gas before she left the parking lot she was already getting a fraud warning that her credit card was being charged $150.00... she only used the card for gas ... I traveled the first week in August 2023 and stopped at the Pilot in Quartsize, AZ for gas and tried to use my credit card... it keep me in a loop so I decided to use my card with a pin and it went thru. Before I left the parking lot I received a call from my bank if I had charged $115 gas on the first card I tried to use... This is a small Pilot, with minimal PJ fresh and convenience store options, but has a full Subway with seating and Dairy Queen with Orange Julius options. The staff was friendly with us, but the aforementioned dude "with sideburns" gave me dirty looks as I was taking pics. Welcome to the world of Yelp and modern technology, buddy. I wasn't taking pics of him. But yeah, I guess you might consider someone who takes pics of coffee machines kinda weird. He was grumpy. Whatever, didn't interfere with my experience and the guy who helped us out was fantastically friendly and courteous. Wasn't too crowded on a Saturday at dinner time-- possibly because McDonald's next door was packed! Was able to pull right up to a pump. The bathrooms were up to Pilot standards-- handsfree paper towel dispensers. Ok, the bathroom was not stellar clean, but you've never been to the Mobile in an unnamed town outside Las Cruces where they film horror movies. This place is 5 stars; I ain't comparing a Pilot gas station to the Ritz, just to equivalent Pilots. It's on par. Got in and out in less than 10 minutes, which is important for road trip goals. I have come to really appreciate the Pilot Travel Centers! They are safe, clean, and have food places on the premise. All in one, a place with just about everything you'd need or think you'd need! There are showers available for truckers to pay for. Whether you are leaving or going back to California, make sure you get your gas here. Once you are on the California side, the gas will most assuredly be more expensive! About buying the gas... if you're paying cash, it is simple. We prepaid with a card here and went inside and told them how much we wanted to put in. We asked for $25, and they held $25 against our card. However, we only were able to put in $20, so I went back in to get the correct amount debited (with a receipt) and they said it would appear correctly later. I didn't really like that because I do not live here and didn't want to hassle over it later if it didn't get corrected. I ended up leaving. A few days later, it did correct itself. This travel center has a Dairy Queen and a Subway in it, along with the convenience store. Pilot has 3 types of rewards programs: a Professional Driver, a Preferred Customer and an RV Plus. The rewards & discounts are different depending on which one you sign up for. I recommend paying for gas here with cash just so you can settle up the charge and be done with it. It might have just been the way we did it. We didn't run the card at the pump, so maybe we could have avoided the worries if we had. If you visit their website, they even have a spreadsheet type of page with gas prices & locations. It is handy if you want to check out prices! I was driving into Cali from PHX, and although I still had a 1/2 tank of gas, I decided to fill up here. I was so glad that I did because after this stop, the prices increase nearly $2 extra per gallon (once you enter CA). Their parking lot is very small though. Many of us were waiting behind other cars for a gas pump to become available. I went inside to utilize their restrooms. They were very clean and well-stocked. Since watching 'Cars', I've always wondered about those little towns bypassed by the construction of the interstate highways. I imagine that a real-life Radiator Springs complete with talking cars and hotels shaped like traffic cones may just be a few miles away from the exit. The impression I got when I stopped by Quartzsite at the Pilot gas station is that if I go any further, Radiator Springs will be populated by the zombies of Raccoon City and the entire cast of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I held fast to my flashlight imagining it as a weapon to blast away the Silent Hill-type 'folks' here. For the brief moment I pulled over for the restroom, I was seeing some of the strangest things in this trip. Could it be that van full of giggling made-up ladies heading towards the vast truck-stop parking lot? How about the methed-out looking couple with faces planted on the window looking in....watching the lady inside cooking....something. By the time I got to the bathroom, I was too scared for #1 and just ran back to my car. What is that beckoning in the dark? A Mickey D's just a couple of blocks away. They surely must have a restroom. I pulled into the deserted parking lot only to find out that the entire place is shutdown due to 'water problems'. At this point, I already dialed 9-1, just waiting for that 3rd strike so I can press the last '1' and have at least the dispatcher listen to my screams and zombie groans. I've been here several times now. Here's my experience and only that of my own experience. The convenience store, is a great all in one stopping place. it's a definite must if you need something. The gasoline made my check engine light come on, and the moment I put Chevron it went away. The pumps, on my last visit, one didn't work and was a huge inconvenience given all the traffic. On most occasions, the customer service is very good. However, if you get the one guy at the register with the Elvis Presley side burns, get out and get to another line. This guy has no customer service skills and is a jerk. In fact it was his register that debited and then credited my Paypal card for a lot of money without even letting me know he messed up. read more

My wife and I stopped at this Pilot Center in Quartzite Arizona on main street. We went inside to get something to snack on. We had parked in back of the store. As I walked back to our car I was bit on my right arm by a dog that was sitting in a van on the passenger seat. I showed the the owner of the van that his dog bit me. My arm was bleeding. I told the owner of the dog I was going back into the pilot store and tell management. The owner of the dog jumped into his van and left because he got scared. After calling 911 the police and paramedics showed up. I had to go back home to California and go to my doctor who gave me a tetanus shot and started me taking antibiotics. This Pilot store needs parking lot security. We will never go back to this Pilot store!! read more
