It's a cute little shop with great service that has your basic dog/cat needs. They may have other items but I'm not sure since I was only in there under 10 minutes. Bri did such an amazing job grooming our lil pup. Before proceeding, she took time to discuss what we wanted and she went over everything that would be covered in the grooming package. Our last groomer didn't cut our dog's nails even though we paid for that service and they cut our dog's hair too short. Bri evened it out though and was super friendly. It was wonderful going to someone who was patient with our dog and understood how to give him a cut. I've taken my shihtzu there for the past year or more. They are very friendly, but on the grooming side never consistent - even after shown pictures of the cut you want. Each time i brought her home, something was missed and I would have to go home and trim her up again. This past weekend was my final visit due to yet another bad grooming where they shaved the hair around her lips completely off (not in the pic) and they have missed cutting her dew claws the past few times. Even though the owner said i could bring her back to be fixed was not very apologetic. Came here for the first time today because my newly adopted chow chow got so dirty at the dog park in the morning! I was not aware that they do not provide tools anymore and chows HAVE to be brushed before bathing (luckily, I did bring one dematting tool of my own) but the owner was kind enough to let me brush my dog inside the tub anyway even though the time limit is 25 min. I wouldn't have been able to brush/wash him otherwise as he is absolutely terrified of being groomed. Thank goodness a place such as this exists!! I've only utilized this business for their self-wash service. I called ahead to verify that they offered self wash service (Yes! They Do) and what the cost was ($8). I was provided all the info I needed by a very friendly young woman. She advised me to call back when I was heading there to ensure a tub would be available for my immediate use since they were a bit busy that day with several grooming appointments. On my way there, I called to let them know I would be there within 15mins to use their self wash service. Upon walking in I was greeted with a smile by an older gentleman (Possibly the owner) who guessed correctly that I was there for the self wash. He immediately walked me back to the bathing area and gave me a quick tour. I was provided several varieties of shampoos, some of which were labeled, others I had to sniff and guess the purpose. There were no conditioner available however there were pre-soaked cotton balls to clean the ears which I thought was a unique touch. Overall, great and convenient service. read more

The first time I took my Yorkie for grooming I was pleased. The second trip was an entirely different story. After 6 hours we received the call she was ready. When my husband picked her up he was told she had been "nicked". When she got home I looked at her "nick" and was shocked to see one of her nipples was almost cut completely off. I was horrified. We did not receive a call or any concern about the incident. The grooming was also unsatisfactory. I have had 5 Yorkies and this was the worse grooming I have ever had. Will not be returning to Mom & Pups for any reason. read more

Had my dog groomed here today. Dropped her off at 10am and she wasn't ready to be picked up until 4pm. When I came to pick her up there were dogs crying and sounding like they were dying. The girl then explained that the groomer cut one of her nails too short and it's bleeding. She tried to stop it with some powder and it worked for a minute but when she got in my truck she started bleeding on the back seat. I went back in to ask for a dog sock, they said they only have a 4 pack and can't give me one. So i'm now trying to stop the bleeding outside my house and having to get my truck shampooed. I decided to try Mom and Pups out for grooming the first time about a year ago when we moved to the Marietta area from downtown. It was closer than our usual groomer, and we were hoping the cost would be less as well. After having our dogs groomed here it was really nothing to be excited about. The cuts were okay, not as good as our usual groomer, and with the price being similar enough to our previous groomer, we decided to continue taking the dogs there since it was only once every month or so. Fast forward to this past week when our dogs desperately needed grooming, and their usual groomer (who at this point we've been going to for over 2 years and have never had any problems) was booked for the next week and a half. I figured, hey, they really need a grooming, especially their nails, so we'll take them to the place nearby, Mom and Pups. The reviews were good and I didn't think the first experience was particularly offensive, so we took them here. We get to the shop, and drop off our two dogs. The shop owner/attendant says they're busy since it's a Saturday, and it might be a while. Over 5 hours later we get a call saying our dogs are ready to be picked up, but that our 14 year old yorkie had gotten his ear cut by the groomer. The shop attendant/owner apologizes over the phone, and keeps saying that it "looks really bad". At this point I am very upset, but in my mind the cut was a small nick near the base of the ear. Once we get to the shop, which is less than a minute drive away, we're taken to the back to get our dog who had gotten cut. Turns out, the groomer was a few millimeters away from cutting the whole tip of my dogs ear off (pictures show after the ear had started to scab and don't accurately show how close to the edge the cut goes). At this point I am furious, and have absolutely nothing to say to the groomer and the shop owner. The groomer doesn't really look at me, and barely apologizes. I ask how something like this can happen to a 14 year old, 4 lb dog who is not known for moving quickly. The groomer says "he was moving erratically" to which the shop owner replies "Honestly, I'm surprised it wasn't [you're other dog]". So if we recap here, my dog has just almost had a large chunk of his ear cut off, they wait over 20 minutes to call me and tell me about it, and are now talking badly about my second dog. I just want to leave because I feel beyond guilty for cutting corners to get my dogs groomed, and not wanting to deal with the people working at Mom and Pups. The shop owner seemed rattled about this happening, and offered to pay for us to visit the vet to get the wound checked out. I take her up on her offer, get her phone number, and leave. After taking my dog to the vet, hoping they can essentially stitch his ear back together, the vet says that because of his age they don't feel comfortable enough to use anesthesia to stitch the ear. So he's given pain meds and antibiotics. Because of this happening at Mom and Pups, my dog will have a relatively substantial (for his size) slit in his ear the rest of his life. I will give the shop owner credit in that she followed up with me both days over the weekend and did keep up her promise of paying the vet fee. However, when I asked again how this could happen, or why it took them so long to contact me after it happened, she was pretty defensive in her responses. Needless to say I will not be returning to Mom and Pups. I being told that "this is the first time in 9 years something like this has happened", but now it has, and people interested in getting their pets groomed here have the right to know. tl;dr they cut my dog's ear Update: Having just gotten a response comment about this incident, I would like to post some clarification about the "We did the best we could caring for the cut and since the pet care world is a small one, we've heard from your vet practice that we did an "outstanding job" and the wound didn't require anything more than the meds" comment. To others reading, please understand that this happened during the weekend when our regular vet is closed, and we took the dog who's ear was cut to the local emergency vet that Mom and Pups pointed out was nearby. So of course they knew where we took him and who to talk to. The point is not that they did an "outstanding job" treating the cut, it's that the cut should not have happened in the first place. The dog in question has since passed away, which is even more indicative how old and unlikely it was that he was moving erratically. read more

Very Glad they are there. I've bought specialty food from them in the past, but today I went to use the Dog Wash for the first time. What a great experience! I have a 4 yr old Cavalier with a heavy coat. I usually bath him at home, but don't do it often because it is such a hassle. Using their dog wash will be a regular visit for me. They have everything you need and of course a tub and sprayer that make it very easy to get the job done. And very grateful for the dryer! While it didn't get him completely dry (It probably would have taken over 30 min of drying) he was considerably dryer than he would have been at home. read more

Wow, who knew a dog could have so many accessories? From sunglasses to clothing they have it all,even a ball gown for cats! The woman working was more than friendly and even gave us some fresh catnip to take home to our little fur balls. They have plenty of free samples of food available too, so if your little friends are as picky as mine you can sample new foods. As far as foods they had organic foods to dehydrated ones. We picked up some caviar, whole mackerel, as well as venison with roasted salmon for our babies. Yes, this food is definitely a step up from pet smart in reference to price as well as ingredients. I also spotted a grooming area, little dogie cupcakes, and various natural pet health remedies. It's worth a trip if you are in the area and looking for some goodies for your best friend! read more

Mom & pups, I Love this place! I buy victor dog food and the place I was going to always jacked me around. Saying they were out but they had some coming in later that day and then I'd show up and they would be closed. So I did some research and found this place. The owners are always there they are the nicest kindest people ever. Always asked me what I need can I helping with anything and so on and so forth. I haven't tried the grooming out but I know that every time on there somebody if they are getting their animal ground her nails trimmed or whatever. They have lots of choices in food and toys and treats and cute little clothes for my little dog. Highly highly highly recommend this place love it read more

DESPICABLE BEHAVIOR!!! I took my dog here to get groomed and requested that they keep him as fluffy as possible but was understanding that they would do the best they could considering he had a few mats. The haircut itself was fine. I took my dog there for his first haircut at which point he had a lot of matting going on. They charged me $70 because of the difficulty. This most recent time they charged me $90 even though he was far less matted than before. When my husband ask about the jump in price the employee acknowledged that it was strange and gave him free treats and filled out all but two notches on a loyalty card (which was a gesture that would actually obligate us to spend another $40 to redeem 10% off). The free treats and loyalty card seem an admission of guilt. When my husband got our dog into the car he noticed he smelled like urine. When I arrived home and found this out, I called to complain. I was screamed at by the employee, who said the extra price was a punishment to us for forcing them to torture our dog by de-matting him. Those were the exact words, which made me actually sick. She said this to me three times at increasing volume, and said that maybe he smelled of urine when he was screaming while she was ripping the mats out of his hair. We love our dog and simply requested the best haircut they could do without shaving him. In no way would we request or "force" anyone to torture our baby, and had assumed they would use their best techniques as professionals. As owners, we are traumatized by the yelling and those words. We were overcharged and we had to give our dog a bath, which one shouldn't have to do immediately after being groomed. read more

The owners are really nice and friendly, always willing to help with tips or helping you carry your purchases out to your car. They always give me free catnip for my kitties! They carry a great selection of cat and dog toys, (organic) pet food, lots of treats (they have a really cute treat bar), as well as professional grooming and do-it-yourself grooming for those on a tighter budget.
