Before I came to that place I was told how much I will pay for full service (bath, nail cut and trim). I gave the information about my dog (size, weight), but when I came they said that they thought it was a small dog and I have to pay more (????). I was about to leave, but they agreed that I'll pay the original price. At the end the lady said that I have to add 5$ for shampoo (what???). On the phone we discussed the full service price including bath. Nobody told me that I have to pay additional for shampoo. 5 dollars - not a big deal, but still... This is ridiculous! Took my 2 dogs for the first time today to get groomed and it was such a great experience!! Allison was very sociable and gave my dogs the same love and care she gives her own dogs. I'm thrilled with the outcome of their grooming because they came out looking pretty and smelling so good! The atmosphere is very homey and open. We brought our rescue here and loved the staff! Troy took to everyone, they were so sweet, he came out looking like a million dollars. They are terrific super helpful I take my baby their and any foster pups I may have that need grooming. Angelo always cuts my dogs hair and he is wonderful. I have a Newfoundland and it's been very hard to find a groomer not only willing to handle such a big dog (And one they haven't known since a puppy), but also one who is really talented. I've tried the groomer at my vet -- my dog wouldn't even get out of the car after a few visits. Flat out refused she was so unhappy. Tried PetSmart and that was a disaster. But happily (and much to much relief) folks at Bow Wow Wow are super nice, incredible with my dog, AND do a great job. (Ellie is the specific groomer and she's fabulous.) I can't say my dog loves being groomed, but she walks in without any hesitation, she looks great when she walks out and the people there (even other customers) are wonderful to her. I've been a client for close to two and a half years. I also work in the veterinary field and would refer our clients to them on multiple occasions. I contacted the groomer early August for my two females to get groomed, un related my mother passed the next day and as family was coming over for services, I wanted my two males to get groomed or at least bathed for company. My husband contacted them to see if they two could be seen the same day, the receptionist sighed and told us they can do the next day and my husband stressed it had to be today. The receptionist then told him he need the shot records for the males and we have to get it if not we have to make time to get it. I know plenty of groomers who contact the vets office on behalf of the client to verify immunizations, but that was never extended. My husband then tried to tell her we do not have the time right now and she then proceeded to raise her voice, speak over him and rush him off the phone. I contacted the receptionist myself and was met with the same brashness. I informed her that one male is up to date on his vaccines (which his file would indicate) and my other male has a condition (with a verified letter on file) that says he can not have vaccines for medical reasons. Instead of her looking into the system, she again was nasty and then yelled so I proceeded to yell at her back. I enjoyed my dogs getting groomed by Angel and the rest of the staff, especially since they were comfortable with them, but they lacked in empathy and customer service so I will not be returning nor referring there. read more

Yesterday was the first time I've used the groomers at Bow-Wow Wow, I have 3 shih tzus, my babies were comfortable from the moment we walked in, their doggy sense let them know we were in a good place! I would've gave this place 0 stars if that was an option. My dog went into Bow Wow Wow perfectly normal but after they took her she came out with a POPPED BLOOD VESSEL IN HER EYE AND A SKIN RASH! Their first excuse about the popped blood vessel was that "the wind from the blow dryer popped it" and then their second excuse was that my dog was "stressed" when she was there. Both excuses are the most ridiculous bs I've ever heard. Only after I have went home did I realize that my dog had a skin rash, which is extremely unprofessional of the employees to not notify me when I picked my dog up. It's sickening how they tried to sweep the situation under the rug, like this happens all the time, when my dog has never had this type of experience at any other grooming salon. How ignorant can they be to not let me know that my dog could potentially be in serious danger due to their employees' doing, and not offer any real explanation or solution to the problem. Never has my dog ever been so stressed to pop a blood vessel in her eye, nor has she ever gotten a skin rash, until she visited Bow Wow Wow. It is disgusting how they would try to blame an innocent animal for their own wrong doings. This is the most irresponsible, unprofessional pet groomers business and the worst experience I've ever had with grooming my dog. I will never bring my dog back again and I advise all to do the same. read more

I made an appointment at Bow-wow Wow! because of Pauline R's review. I too, have a large dog who is terrified of the groomer. The last place I took him to said they could not handle him unless he was sedated, and then would not give me an appointment when I got the sedative. I called Bow-wow Wow! two days ago and spoke to Angel. I explained Titan's history and how he does not like the sound of the buzzer nor does he like the dryer. Angel assured me that he is experienced with large dogs and that he could handle my puppy. I assured Angel that I would sedate him prior to the visit. Upon entering the facility, my dog sat with us for a little while getting accustomed to the environment, and then Angel came out to meet him. He sat down on the floor and just talked to us and Titan for a bit, and then gently touched Titan's paw. When he saw that Titan was okay with that, he took him in the back for his bath and sent us on our way. When we picked him up 2 and a half hours later, he was clean, pretty and calm! I am so happy that I found this place! I will be bringing my Bernese Mountain dog back here for regular baths and to help keep up with his coat.
