We drive 20 minutes to go to the Bowery because the staff is so high-quality! The vibe is so fun for my athletic son who gets the best haircut around. The staff is friendly, interactive and professional. It's also nice that they have sports on TVs offer you beverages, etc. Definitely worth checking out.! read more

He told me to make an appointment on their website, but told him website wasn't working for me but he didn't care or give me an alternate option to help me. From an honest perspective, the barbers at this shop posses some of the greatest collection of talent that I have ever had the pleasure of being cut by. The shop itself is simple and clean with a modern twist to an old school feel. Definitely would recommend checking out their website and booking an appointment online so you don't have to worry about walking in BUT WALK-INS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME! All barbers are super punctual, have great time management, and will typically get you in right at your chosen appointment time. I personally have followed Barber Brandon through multiple shop moves he's had in his career and it has been worth it every single time. I live in Chula Vista where he started and have followed him all the way up to Del Mar at this location BECAUSE HE IS THAT GOOD. Really great with urban style cuts such as skin fades, tapers, clean line ups, designs, combovers, and honestly any haircut you'd like, he'll facilitate. Super friendly, communicative, has had almost a decade worth of experience in the Barber game, and is dedicated to give you the proper Bowery Barber Co. experience. He's someone I'd highly recommend and will basically go to until the end of time. Barber Patrick is someone I've also had the pleasure of being cut by! Can't go wrong with either one of them! Patrick is also communicative, super friendly, and will make sure he knows exactly what he's going to do to your hair before he does it. Patrick has extensive experience as well and is a solid barber who will give you a cut you'll love every time. Haven't had a cut by Barber Miguel yet but every time I'm in the shop I do watch him and I've never seen a bad haircut or an unsatisfied client! Super funny, friendly, and treats you like he's known you forever. Best parking is in the structure and you'll find it between Shake Shack and Soul Cycle facing the structure itself. Really excited about this shop in this growing shopping center and know if you'll try it you'll never go back to "Super Cuts" or "Sports Cuts" ever again. Seriously guys just go to the barbershop... Some areas of opportunity for the shop I feel include more signage to be able to direct people to the location. The shop was nice, and my barber did a great job... if I asked for a high n tight fade. I asked just to clean up around my ears, neckline and not touch the top. Going to the barber is my relax time, so I close my eyes and relax; had my eyes been open I would have caught them before the fade went all the way up skintight. Terrible and very rude employee Brett Hawley tells me because my 2 year old son and pregnant wife couldn't make it to their appointment that I should "find another barber" and then tells me on the phone that I'm not welcome at that barber shop anymore. I don't need to explain the emergency or why my pregnant wife couldn't make it to my 2 year old sons appointment but I'm definitely sure the owner of Bowery doesn't want to lose a customer who pays $85 a week for a haircut over 1 missed appointment. Brett also claims I'm late to my appointments when I've never been more than 10 minutes late and would text him and let him know I was going to be late and if it was ok and he would always respond with "yeah no worries" I definitely won't be going here again and I live at the One Paseo apartments and I'll definitely be spreading the information of how terrible the customer service is at this place. It's not every day you get a haircut, or is it?! I love this place. First and foremost the staff is great. Every barber has high standards for the work they do. I've never seen a haircut from the chair that I'm sitting in I didn't believe to be phenomenal. They take pride in their work and give 100% on every cut. I always go see Pat and he's never given me a bad cut, he's never left his clippers in the car, and he always gives my kids a lollipop. I see Pat once every 3-4 weeks. Have even brought him a picture from a target add and said, "Don't think I'm lame but can you do this?!" He immediately called me lame and did it haha he's great. Wouldn't go to anyone else. He also does my sons hair and puts up with my sons inability to sit still like a pro. Such a cool little nook in one paseo. Typically get a coffee before my cut or lunch right after. I have had my hair cut by Brandon (known as Jim) since before the Bowery opened. I have visited him over the years from Chula Vista to Downtown San Diego and now to Del Mar. I choose to travel the 35 minutes from Chula Vista to Del Mar because he is the best. He always makes my untamed mop look great. The Bowery is in a great location at One Paseo. It has tons of dining and shopping options nearby. It is located very close to the main parking garage and is easily accessible. Shop is clean and has a very modern decor. You should make an appointment for a cut if you still have hair. read more
