The staff is welcoming and kind, and the space itself feels comfortable rather than rushed. There's a nice sitting area with coffee, snacks, books for kids, and a TV, which makes waiting easy. While it's not specifically a kids barber shop, they still have the basics that make bringing a child simple, like a booster seat, books, and even lollipops after the cut. This visit went smoothly and they were able to squeeze us in with no wait at all, which was great. I also brought several photos to show what I was hoping for with my son's hair, and they were actually photos of my son from a previous haircut they had done themselves, not magazine inspiration photos. Even with that reference, the cut didn't quite match what I had in mind at first, but it got much closer after I explained a bit more during the appointment. I want to start this by saying the staff are very nice. Ok with that being said, don't go here if you have curly hair PLEASE. I needed a haircut today and they welcome walk ins and so I waited. Wait was about 45 minutes and I got seated. I blame myself for letting him continue cutting when I could feel he was going too short already. But he saw me walking in and I told him I wanted a trim of 1.5 inches all around. My hair was cut MCUH shorter, almost like someone who has straight hair. He didn't understand that the way I walked in was the way I wanted to walk out, enough length to curl my entire head. What I was left with was .5 around the sides and less than an inch on the top. I can't style my hair at all. I'm genuinely concerned at how he let me stand up from that chair, again, seeing how I walked in and just asking for a trim and cleanup. I ask for the same thing at every barber shop and I've never looked this bad. I hate to leave this review but I want to put the warning to anyone with curly hair, not to go here. I made an appointment to get my teenager a haircut before Lunar New Year since he has a fashion show coming up and was really excited about it. We arrived early for his 11:00 appointment but still had to wait about 30 minutes before he was seated. I showed the barber a photo of the style he wanted and clearly explained that he likes his bangs long -- just a trim in the front, shorter on the sides and back. Unfortunately, there was a major miscommunication and they ended up cutting all of his hair off. My son was devastated and in tears. He couldn't even look in the mirror afterward. For a teenager, especially right before an important event, this was heartbreaking and I felt like a horrible mom bringing him here. They did not charge us after seeing how upset he was.
