We've been attending Big Blue Swim School for almost two months, and it's been a good experience…read more Our kids (infant and toddler) really enjoy their lessons and also seem to be learning a lot. The facility is also fantastic--very clean and playful looking; perfect for kids. I'm still a little unsure of how I feel about the business model. You have to pay for the months' lessons up front, and if for some reason you can't make it, you don't get refunded for any lessons you cancel. The money also doesn't go towards the next month's balance; you simply have to do makeup lessons or lose those funds. For a family like ours that struggled to find a consistent lesson time at all, scheduling makeup lessons has proved tricky, but we do have to miss a lesson once in a while. Not sure what the solution is here. I also came by the facility during business hours to sign my kids up, but the doors were shut and locked, even though they were open? Luckily the staff saw me and opened up the doors to let me in, but had they not, we probably wouldn't have signed up. We wanted to visually look at the facility before committing, so a phone call didn't work for us. Hopefully this feedback proves helpful. We're eagerly looking forward to our next swim lesson!

Not only it's…read morean INDOOR, HEATED pool, but the instructors are LEGIT and they make sure your child gets the best lessons (group or private) that they can get in this county! Sheila, the owner, is super friendly and personable. She is not only an instructor herself and jumps in the pool herself when needed, but she also makes sure that your children are in the correct swim level before they start their lessons. Sheila is not only personable, but she replies to your email within a day, and communicates effectively and consistently. She sends out the weekly schedule the weekend before so you know the swim schedule and with which instructor. We have had Abi (a swim instructor) for years and she's super good with our younger ones. She is encouraging and my children really enjoy being taught by her. We have had Nicole and AnneMarie as instructors (for level 4/5) and they are also efficient!

I really really wanted to like this place more... When I was…read moretrying to sign up my son for classes you have to go through Sheila. She is VERY rude. I had no idea how classes work and instead of explaining it nicely for a newbie she was very rude in her explanation, however the price is great so I ignored it. My son attended classes for 3 weeks and the swim instructors are so great and so cute with the kids! We loved every teacher we had. Which is what kept me going back for more lessons. I liked to sit close and listen to the instructors so I can continue to work with him on our own time. I was very pregnant and hot (it gets hot in there if you aren't swimming) so I was standing by the door catching a breeze and staying close so I can listen to what they are teaching and Sheila tells me "go sit down and quit hovering" honestly that was the last straw. That was luckily his last lesion of the week and was the last lesson I will ever sign him up for at the swimmin hole. I hope Sheila reads this review and changes her attitude.

Amazing.... PLEASE Don't read the negative reviews. I did at first and it is all false this school…read moreis amazing. I interviewed with Ariz**a college of nursing when it 1st opened in UT and they said they just didn't want me to go to Joyce, then I mentioned this when I spoke to G***yn and they TOLD ME "don't go to Joyce" which was so weird, THEN the advisor laughed about how the employees at their college and others write negative reviews about Joyce and thought it was funny even though It is not true, I WAS SHOCKED. I called Joyce to tell them because that was so weird, and that's just not cool. I I called I started talking to an advisor and it made me give time a 2nd try. Originally I worked with a guy named Aaron he was nice and very informative and this time I worked with a girl named Britney. I vibed alot more with her and you could tell she loved her job. I will be graduating in dec and my experience has been amazing I am so glad I listened to my gut and co workers about Joyce. Honestly, if you are a decent student who just wants to get in school, get out and start working as an RN having a good quality degree, and just want to have support along the way, even when you're done.... Joyce is it, at-least go in and interview and see for your self. I don't normally write reviews but I wanted to share my experience and hopefully it helps others look past the false reviews.
