I had to ship some items that were really fragile to central Wisconsin from Vegas so needless to say I was worried about the journey. From start to finish Chris and his family helped explain cost and everything else. One of the items that needed to be sent was about 100 years old (found that out from my family after I had shipped it) and it was packaged so well when it arrived with the other items. To give some clarity on its journey, I had 2 chairs, a 100-year-old tea set and some fragile wall oddly shaped art that all went on one pallet. The pallet according to the tracking was transferred about 6 times on other trucks to make it here so it was bumped around countless times in terminals being loaded and unloaded. You would think a business like this would be on top of their game and customer service. Called on a Thursday to place a small B2B order, went through 3 employees that didn't know what was going on, finally the owner got on the phone and took my business card number to submit payment, and I was told I would get a call Friday when the boxes came in to pick up and get my invoice. Friday came and went and I never got a call. I called Monday of the following week and was told I could pick up the boxes. I arrive only to find out that my boxes were never ordered and payment was never taken. The irresponsible owner wrote down my business card number on a piece of paper and apparently lost it. I need to shop a FEDEX package AND get the same documents returned with a self addressed FEDEX envelope. The agent was very helpful, told me when the addressee works receive the package, and told me they would call me when MY envelope was returned. I brought a large item to be packed up for shipment on a Friday. The person running the front was very friendly and said it would be done by Tuesday. When I called on Tuesday they informed me that they were backed up and couldn't get to it. I thought no big deal. There was urgency on getting it shipped out so unfortunately I had to pick it up and go another route. When I arrived to retrieve the item I was informed that they could not refund my credit card and I would have to come back at a later date to pick up a check. Again no big deal. Things happen I get it. The real kicker is when I arrived to pick up the check. I walk in and an employee advised me that the person that has my check was in the bathroom. Chris the owner gets out of the bathroom and asks me what I needed. I explained I was there to pick up and check. He say's "oh you're the one who got all bent out of shape". I told him I was fine and I just need the check. He says "I'm not gonna argue with you" and storms away like a 13 year old who can't communicate. At no point was I trying to argue. He was being completely rude and disrespectful. There was no reason for me to be treated that way especially when his business dropped the ball. I would stay far away from this place. After a rocky start (flawed email communications, and a discrepancy in posted store hours that had me driving across town twice to find them closed) I'm upgrading my review to four stars. I decided to give Box Bros a full fledged chance being that I had not yet dealt in person with them. I brought my large and valuable item (a 60lbs handmade solid cedar chest with custom art on the lid) to them for crating and shipping, and if all goes well I am apt to give them a full 5 stars. After dropping off my item I received a phone call from Chris about my previous review. He was fully apologetic for the previous mix ups, which in retrospect are understandable, and made it worth my while to try their service again - regardless if I changed my review or not. I do have to say that their in store experience was perfectly fine (Zach helped me out in store), and if my items arrive safe and secure they are certainly deserving of a good review. Hoping to have found a trusted place that makes packing/shipping my items truly this easy, as it takes a lot of worry off my mind. Will update soon! ---------- 4/15/15 - One Star Unfortunately the cedar chest arrived standing on end (with no markings indicating which side should be up) and upon opening the box the end panel was blown out/broken and the frame in pieces. I'm about as far from happy as it gets. My client has $1000 piece of trash sitting in her living room. ------------- 05/06/15 - Five Stars I stopped in to the Dean Martin location to check on my damaged chest as it had been returned to them, and got to talking to Chris about how to get my other chests shipped, as I still had two more chests to ship, and in a hurry. All of the other options to ship were twice the price, and I had already charged my clients shipping based on the estimate I received thru Box Brothers/UPS. After evaluating the damaged chest he came up with the idea of removing the lid and packing it separately, making for two more manageable boxes that could fit extra foam and packing. I decided to give them another shot, as the fault really lie with UPS trashing what was already a well packed unit. If they could pack their way around UPS's miscreant ways, it would solve my problem. I realize this could have happened with ANY shipper, but it was unfortunate to have it happen my first time out with such a valuable package. So we removed the lids from the bases, and each was rolled in bubblewrap and boxed with foam. It all seemed extra bombproof, and I watched as they packed each one. UPS would literally have to run over the darn things to wreck them. Fortunately, both chests arrived to their destinations completely intact, and both clients commented on the quality and thoroughness of the packing job. I really appreciate Chris Long and crew going the extra mile to get things done right. My only hang up in this whole deal is with UPS. They took a well packed unit with sturdy contents and somehow managed to destroy it. Box Brothers as able to engineer their way around that problem, and went the extra extra mile by not charging me for packing on the those two chests. read more

I have been using this location of Box Bros for about two years now and have had very excellent service. Although my main business with them is for purchasing shipping supplies, I have also had them package/ship several items that were large and heavy and everything went smoothly. I sell items online and quite frankly when it comes to shipping something large, it is cheaper for me to pay the Bros for packing than to run around and purchase the supplies! My experience at this location has been with Chris B, Chris L., and Brandy - they are all super helpful. I once watched Chris B. construct a special size box for me and it was amazing. He made it look easy but it's not unless you know what you are doing and have the experience. They are truly shipping professionals. read more

July 2014 Moving is a very stressful thing and most people don't have any recommendations as their experiences are usually not good. I on the other hand recently helped my son relocate from Las Vegas to a small town in Washington State and had a great stress free experience with Box Brothers. We had a very short amount of time to pack and get him moved. Box Brothers was most accommodating . I was able to contact them and have them pick my son's things up the very next day. They were able to wrap and arrange shipping for 1400 pounds of his belongings including furniture, glass top desk and boxes which contained fragile items and get then to Washington within 4 days. Everything arrived as promised and nothing was damaged. The movers on the other end who helped us unpack said they had never seen things packed so well. All other moving companies that I contacted couldn't promise delivery for 14 days and were far more expensive. I would highly recommend Box Brothers and will use them in the future for all my shipping needs. Call and ask for Chris or Brandy Long and I assure you they will take great care of you! read more

Not only did I receive the box for my shipment, they also included an attitude for my questions and a surcharge for the gentleman to tape up my box after I told him it was un-necessary. So if you like to be talked down to for not being a box expert then pay $10.00 for a single 3 cu. ft. cardboard box, Box Bros. is for you, everyone else... When my daughter was visiting me in Las Vegas she found an Antique Bar Cart that she fell in love with. I bought it for her as an early Christmas gift. The problem was finding shipping to Manhattan and at a reasonable price. I called many shipping companies and decided on Box Brothers on Dean Martin Road. When I saw how they do packaging in the warehouse I felt confident that this was the right company. Shipping to Manhattan is expensive but I am glad I chose this company. The delivery man was a little rough when he delivered it. But when she opened the crate, the Antique Bar Cart was in perfect condition. I was worried about the delicate wheels. And much to my daughter's surprise when she opened the drawer there was a signature. I went there just to buy a box, but ended up going back to ship it because their price was the best to ship it. Not only that, but when I got there even though I already had the box sealed, he could tell there was extra room in the box.
