Shades on perimeters of park only and the gazebo

Really nifty park tucked into the rocks. Lots of rattle snake warnings all over the park. Cute playground with tons to climb on but the play sets have a lot of drop offs so gotta keep an eye out on your active toddler. Large grassy area where lots of locals let their dogs off leash so beware. A basketball court with two mobile pickleball nets where I've seen people play in the mornings. But no area to contain the balls so they go everywhere. Not a lot of shade in this park other than the gazebo area and the little circle by the statue. Oh and no parking lot. Street parking only.

Amazing amazing park! They have a huge play structure that looks like a castle and pickleball courts! Playground is clean and in good condition. I went in February when it is cold, but I could see how there would be a lack of shade in the summer. Parking is on the street. Great place to take your young kids to play here!

It is really nice playground with beautiful views of the hills. However, we went in February and it was hot. I would imagine in the summer it would be sweltering and with no shade in sight! Do kids come here in the summer? They need to build a shady spot over the playground because it's a sunburn waiting to happen if you play in that in anything over 80 degree weather. There is no parking lot which I was surprised about. Street parking was plentiful when I went but expect to break out your parallel parking skills. Lots of space to fly a kite, play basketball and ride bikes or scooters. Tables and benches for picnics available. Would return on a colder day.

Great playground with a soft, squishy ground covering. Playground has a lot of accessible ramps. Nice walking trial and beautiful desert foliage. Perfect place to spend the evening and watch the sunset.

Nice Park located in the hills of Yorba Linda. Street parking. Park is great for toddlers and up. Accessible ramp is a great feature. Park is large with swings, two large play areas with padded grounds throughout, large greenery, and covered picnic area, basketball courts, and large rocks to climb on. Friendly kids and families. Can definitely spend an afternoon with family and fur friends!

Such beautiful view from this park. It's clean and well taken care of. My favorite park to brings my kids.

Such a nice park ! We are from Anaheim and wanted to check out a different park today. My 3 year old loved how it was huge pirate ship play area. Everything was perfect for his size and there was lots of friendly kids playing with him. There was also a cool little trail and lots of rattle snakes signs so beware. Upon leaving, we noticed a small birdhouse that had free books inside which was neat. Overall we would come back to this park !

    Such view.

Really nice park tucked away in the hills of Yorba Linda. Deceptively, there are industrial buildings along the way to get to the housing community that is by Box Canyon Park, which amplifies the feeling that you've found a hidden gem. So, this park has a basketball court, a walkway that surrounds a park and a playground for kids. The bathrooms require digital cards to unlock during non-operational hours but otherwise are open during the day. Place is clean and clearly well maintained. While the park is not too big, it is tucked away, a great place to take a break on the weekends or even have a picnic, or a place to jog through on your morning run. Would return if I'm in the area again.

Likes: + A few open-play pickleball courts…read more + Evening lights light up the pb courts well. + Fragrant restroom. + Large parking lots. + Various friendly players show up throughout the day to welcome you to a game. Mostly beginners. This park has public restrooms, but they're located a 5min walk away from the pb courts. Wish they installed the two closer together. Non-likes: - Only THREE pickleball courts. The wait is so long!! There were TWELVE paddles lined up on each of the three courts. Expect to wait about one hour between games during peak hours. - Restrooms don't have paper towels. - There's only one drinking water fountain here. No water bottle refill station. - Only one seated toilet in the men's restroom. - I don't like the fence design surrounding the pb courts. Have to walk/run all the way around to get to the court you're next on. One or two doors along the fence would've been nice.

And it's really well-maintained. The rubber mats aren't good shape. They have the areas pretty well separated for a little kids and big kids. You've got the big kid swings over by the big kids playground in the small kid swings over by the small kid playground in between there is a rock climbing station And a small little house with a dirt patch for kids to play in. Game changer though? Did someone say zip line? There was a line of kids waiting to give themselves a chance at swinging across the zip line. Definitely a new staple for the family. Also, plenty of shade parking.

The playgrounds are so much fun for our kids and it is also a great space for picnics too. There is a lot of parking here and it's never too busy. The display also showed $5 for weekends and $3 midweek. We wanted to do the Redwood trail and were directed to parking lot A. The park is big and beautifully landscaped with a pond and various picnic areas that can be rented in advance. There is enough space to set up all kinds of games. We brought a picnic lunch and sat on a bench that was perfectly situated alone amongst the desert plants. After lunch, we followed the signs for the Redwood Grove Trail which was labeled as easy and is a 1.5 miles dirt trail to the Redwood trees. When you arrive you'll see a small Redwood forest with the history of the trees displayed before you enter. A really beautiful and peaceful spot to relax for a bit. On our way back we decided to take the Creek Trail to see where it would lead us. I was hoping to see water at the end of this trail. But, we only saw a bunch of rocks at one point that may be filled with water if it rains. The end of this trail did lead us to a beautiful butterfly garden and the opposite end of the park. We made the walk back and stopped at the pond. There appeared to be other trails surrounding the park and a trail that leads to the Carbon Canyon Dam.
