Hurless Barton Park is a big park and a gem for all visitors. It's located next to Veterans Sports Park and Yorba Linda Middle School and right off the 90 freeway. It has a private parking lot along with street parking, grassy areas, shaded areas, and picnic tables throughout. There are a couple playgrounds and an amphitheater near the back. In the community center building there are indoor basketball courts and a private event room that can be reserved online. Beware that on the weekends this place can be extremely busy. Group gatherings/parties, kids weekend sports, and neighborhood families can make parking hard to find.

Really nice park for big and little kiddos! Clean restrooms and 2 different play sets. There is swings and also benches nearby. There's covered gazebo areas and lots of grass area too! Right next to Adventure Play ground!

It's a fun park with kids playground for age 3-12 and also a new builded playground called Adventure Playground Park is right there which comes with water splashing areas and water slides. Also with seating area under the shades. It's so new and super popular in Yorba Linda. My kids love this park so much. This place is next time Yorba Linda Middle School and next to YL community center. Parking is free and free entrance to Adventure Playground. Need to make RSVP on weekends.

How have I not yet reviewed my fav local park that is walking distance from my house! Unbelievable... Have already hosted 2 bday parties here for my kids also. Love Hurless Park and so does our community that they also host a lot of events here. From Eggtravaganza Easter Egg hunt, to concerts in the park or movies in the park during the summer and so much more fun filled city events. I've attached a photo of this year schedule summer dates. Located next to Thomas Lasourda Field House and also Yorba Linda Middle School. I tend to park here when picking up my son after school. Parking is definitely limited at this park. There are street parking and neighborhood parking which I bet the neighbors here dread it. But in a nice neighborhood indeed. I'm excited when the newly remodeled Adventure Playground which is now going to be a water park opens up soon that's located inside Hurless Park. This park has an amphitheater/stage for live performance with concrete seating benches. It's always nice to come here for a play date or to get some fresh air. Lots of benches and shades available. One shelter to book for parties also w BBQ stand cemented into the floor. Highly recommend this park. Bathroom is located right near the playground. I'll get a photo of playground & the park and update w more photos soon

This park has a little water park. The water area is called the Adventure Park. There's a water area that you can spend hours in and also has a water slide as well. A lot of shaded seating area and grass area to play baseball.

Nice park, Lots of tables, lots of walking paths, clean restrooms. There are tons of different birds here and a mini amphitheater.

Lots of people but didn't feel crowded since park is huge

What a hidden gem! I only found out about this park because of the summer concert series but I'm going to be a frequent visitor! It has been so hot lately but this park has an amazing amount of shade. The stage area is perfect for performances. There is a kids playground but there was also a closed off really awesome looking playground... Not sure why it's closed off. There were also athletic fields. There are a lot of parking spots but if there's a big event there is also side street parking. For the schedule of the concerts check out city of Yorba Linda's website. (yorbalindaca.gov)

Hanging out here during Covid. Enjoying nature and playing it safe. While the play area is roped off, there is a nice stage area here.

I happened to be over this way and thought I would check out a local park. There's a car park with plenty of spots. The play area is directly opposite the car park and it accessible via a concrete path - so great for strollers, bikes, etc. Like most parks, they have two play areas, one for littles and ones for biggies. There was no shade over the play areas. There are toilets and areas where you can have a picnic and BBQ.

I just returned from my 3rd overall visit to HBP! What is it about parks that evoke a vacation-like mindset within us? It could be the shading the wonderful amount of trees provide. Maybe it's the inviting benches or picnic tables that whisper "take a load off and stay awhile." Perhaps, it's the playground that brings out the joyful kid in us all. It was all these things and much more. I attended Celebration of the Arts, presented by the Yorba Linda Arts Alliance Foundation. Relaxing, contemporary jazz was being played by Michael Licari & Friends. They were phenomenal! The area was littered, in an organized manner, with lots of specialty booths. They sold food and drink, home decor, clothing, and knick knacks. I even purchased a shirt! The grounds were very well maintained and the park is next to the Thomas LaSorda Jr. Field House and Adventure Playground. There's a large grass area in front of an amphitheatre for live music. The park also hosts Summer Concerts in the Park and Movies In The Park.

Likes: + A few open-play pickleball courts…read more + Evening lights light up the pb courts well. + Fragrant restroom. + Large parking lots. + Various friendly players show up throughout the day to welcome you to a game. Mostly beginners. This park has public restrooms, but they're located a 5min walk away from the pb courts. Wish they installed the two closer together. Non-likes: - Only THREE pickleball courts. The wait is so long!! There were TWELVE paddles lined up on each of the three courts. Expect to wait about one hour between games during peak hours. - Restrooms don't have paper towels. - There's only one drinking water fountain here. No water bottle refill station. - Only one seated toilet in the men's restroom. - I don't like the fence design surrounding the pb courts. Have to walk/run all the way around to get to the court you're next on. One or two doors along the fence would've been nice.

And it's really well-maintained. The rubber mats aren't good shape. They have the areas pretty well separated for a little kids and big kids. You've got the big kid swings over by the big kids playground in the small kid swings over by the small kid playground in between there is a rock climbing station And a small little house with a dirt patch for kids to play in. Game changer though? Did someone say zip line? There was a line of kids waiting to give themselves a chance at swinging across the zip line. Definitely a new staple for the family. Also, plenty of shade parking.

I looked for walking spots in the Brea area and this park popped up. There was a bit of a line to…read moreget in on Memorial Day and the cost for parking on a holiday was $7. The display also showed $5 for weekends and $3 midweek. We wanted to do the Redwood trail and were directed to parking lot A. The park is big and beautifully landscaped with a pond and various picnic areas that can be rented in advance. There is enough space to set up all kinds of games. We brought a picnic lunch and sat on a bench that was perfectly situated alone amongst the desert plants. After lunch, we followed the signs for the Redwood Grove Trail which was labeled as easy and is a 1.5 miles dirt trail to the Redwood trees. When you arrive you'll see a small Redwood forest with the history of the trees displayed before you enter. A really beautiful and peaceful spot to relax for a bit. On our way back we decided to take the Creek Trail to see where it would lead us. I was hoping to see water at the end of this trail. But, we only saw a bunch of rocks at one point that may be filled with water if it rains. The end of this trail did lead us to a beautiful butterfly garden and the opposite end of the park. We made the walk back and stopped at the pond. There appeared to be other trails surrounding the park and a trail that leads to the Carbon Canyon Dam.

Have a few playgrounds along w some gazebo available with picnic tables under the gazebo. It's a pretty nice clean park. With lots of trees, shadings and a great walking cemented sidewalk.
