I used Box Save for a recent move, had an excellent experience and would recommend them in a heartbeat. Here's why: 1) Delivery and pick-up was seamless - we showed them where they were going and they totally took it from there. 2) The boxes were clean and in perfect condition, even the wheels on the dollies were clean so our rugs and flooring didn't get dirty rolling the stacks around. 3) We unpacked the new place earlier than expected and Box Save was able to move our pick-up day earlier with just an email. 4) Everything inside the boxes came out exactly how they went in, no unpleasant surprises during unpacking! I can't say the same for some items packed in cardboard. 5) We saved a ton of money on cardboard boxes and tape. 6) We kept all that cardboard and tape out of the trash stream! Some small things to keep in mind: These boxes do take up more floor space than flat cardboard while you're packing and unpacking, so plan ahead about where they'll go before and after your move. You'll likely still need some specialty cardboard for TVs, large picture frames, drinking glasses, etc. And we had to distribute heavy items like books across many totes because they are larger than the standard book box and would have been way too heavy if full of boxes. My husband and I were getting ready for a kitchen renovation and had to pack up all our cabinets. I found Box Save after an online search and thought the prices seemed reasonable. The packages were geared toward people moving: many boxes for just a couple weeks. We only needed around half the number of boxes, but we needed them for about 6 weeks. I figured it couldn't hurt to write and see if they could accommodate us. Doran got back to me right away with a great deal. They dropped the boxes off a couple days later, just when we needed them to get packing. Our reno went a little long and we needed the boxes an extra week or so, and again, Doran was really accommodating about the extra time without any charge. The boxes were also so wonderful for this use. It was super easy to get everything packed up, safe and sound in durable plastic crates instead of vulnerable cardboard. My wife and I used Box Save for our move and have nothing but the best things to say about the company, the moving boxes, and and Doran and Paul. Doran was very pleasant helping arrange for the drop-off boxes and was very accommodating our move on such a short notice. He delivered the boxes right on time and told us not to worry about the pick-up if we needed a few extra days. The boxes themselves made the the move a hundred times easier than traditional moving boxes. The same price as buying cardboard boxes, packing tape, etc..., but without the hassle of assembling them, worrying about them breaking, and disassembling them after, I don't think that I will ever go back. Upon pickup, Paul showed up right on time and was as equally great as Doran. I would HIGHLY recommend using this service vs. the traditional way of moving. I used plastic crates for moving in February and I loved them! They were clean and so easy to pack...no tape, no assembling boxes! I like that that crates are all the same size so easy to stack. The shape of the crates makes it easy to carry and move around. The dollies made it easy to move them around even when full. Since the crates are strong, I could stack full crates without worrying about crushing the lower crates. The delivery and pickup of the crates were super-easy. They were delivered right when they said they would and placed some on each floor of my house. Once I unpacked in my new apartment, I asked for a pick-up of half of my crates and a final pickup when I was done unpacking. They accommodated this request right away which I appreciated. And the best part is that I didn't have to dispose of cardboard boxes at the end of the move. I highly recommend Box Save!! read more

I have to say that Doran and Paul were outstanding to work with. They dropped off and picked up the boxes really quickly, and were great to work with. The boxes and the dollies made moving much less of a hassle. We were so tired of buying, making and then hanging onto cardboard boxes. Cardboard boxes actually discourage you from unpacking, as it's all too easy to box stuff up and leave it in the cellar. The plastic boxes (which were really sturdy, much more than cardboard) really helped in packing AND unpacking. We had everything out of the plastic boxes and in its rightful place in 2 days. I STILL have some stuff in cardboard boxes from an earlier move. Trust me, your move and unpacking will be 3 times simpler with these boxes. Love this service! First the crates and carts: The crates were just what they should have been - sturdy reusable plastic crates; easy to fill, close, reopen, stack. The rolling carts rolled so smooth! And fit perfectly to a stack of crates for no worry rolling down ramps etc with no worry of spilling a stack because they're snug in the cart. We liked them so much, Box Save pointed us to where we could get ourselves a few (and a cart) for our in-between-move needs. Next the people: Great, friendly service! It's always nice to not have to use cardboard moving boxes, but when the reusable ones are backed by super-friendly people who accommodate to our delivery/early pickup needs, it's totally a no-brainer! read more

The boxes simplified my move in so many ways. First, I saved time by not having to create boxes or seal them up with tape. You just open the flaps, add your stuff, and flap them closed. Second, they can handle heavy items like books and dishes without warping or breaking. Third, they're strong so none of my things were crushed or broken. Fourth, my movers loved them because they had handles and stacked, so it made it easy for them to pack the truck. Lastly, I didn't have to deal with breaking down cardboard and hauling it to the street for recycle. Boxsave picked my empty boxes up. We had a fantastic experience renting from Box Save. The boxes are really convenient to use and very sturdy, which was really helpful for transporting heavier items like appliances and books that would have broken cardboard boxes. I went abroad for work for five months. We had to pack up our house (everything but the furniture and kitchen items) to ready it for tenants. We originally thought we'd have to move our stuff into a storage facility, but BoxSave gave us a far superior alternative. With 20 heavy-duty, sealed, plastic boxes we were able to store all of our items in a section of our basement. BoxSave delivered and picked up the empty boxes. No more buying and taping flimsy cardboard boxes just to throw them away after moving--instead, we got a delivery of sturdy (yet light), stackable, and ready-to-use bins that make packing a breeze. Box Save gave us a dolly that helped us move the bins around very easily. We even repurposed the dolly and one of the bins to cart away trash and recycling as we unpacked at our new place. In general, moving is an arduous process but Box Save simplified the prep, pack, and transition to a new home. The boxes were sturdy and allowed for efficient packing of most household items (didn't pack larger and fragile art/frames) without an excess of bubblewrap/newspapers! They were easily stackable and didn't occupy too much space during the weeks that I prepped for the move. Really appreciated the quick & timely pick-up and drop-off at the preferred locations. We have used Box Save for our past three moves, and are so glad we did. Not only is this such a great service from an environmental perspective, but the boxes are really sturdy and make me feel much more confident about moving fragile items, rather than packing in flimsy cardboard boxes. On top of that, Doran and his team make everything so easy, from flexibility while coordinating delivery and pick-up of the boxes, to the additional products they offer in addition to the boxes (packing paper, zip ties, etc.). Wow! Unbelievable customer service and convenience. The boxes made moving so easy....no cardboard boxes, tape, etc. Nothing broke in our move and the fact that they stacked on top of each other meant our apartment wasn't cluttered with different sized boxes in every room. Box save provides labels too so you can easily identify what room things go in. When we finally finished unpacking, we wanted them gone immediately. Great experience from start to finish! I was able to easily book and pay online. The crates were sooo much better than using cardboard boxes. Not only are they eco-friendly but they are stackable and very sturdy, which made packing and moving much easier. They delivered and picked up the boxes right on time and were very friendly and pleasant to work with. My only suggestion would be that although the boxes were big enough for most things, it would be great if there were a larger size option for things like large art, lamps, etc. I will definitely be using them for our next move! read more

I want to add that I used Box Save again when I moved from Massachusetts to New Hampshire. They were just as wonderful as my previous move within Mass. They let me extend my return time when I got too busy to finish unpacking after the move, and were kind enough to pick up their boxes outside of their usual pickup zone. I used the large bags this time in addition to 50 bins and three dollies and those are a great way to move soft items like clothes. We just used BoxSave for a big household move within Massachusetts and what's not to love? Doran and Paul are very friendly and accomodating with schedule. And their crates are big, strong, clean and protect your belongings much better than cardboard boxes - without the hassle of buying them and building them up. We hadn't ever used a "rent a box" company for a move but we were happy with the results. We decided to add an extra week beyond the 3 offered through the package. That extra week helped and it wasn't that much more expensive. We did a little comparison shopping and found Box Save to be the most reasonable and flexible. The bins were sturdy, easy to carry, stack, move and label. The delivery team was timely and efficient. It is much easier to move with boxes like these than to pack into cardboard boxes.
