We are moving some distance & need to store our belongings while a renovation of our new home is underway. I brought in 3 moving companies for quotes & Annabelle's was the obvious winner. We tried to be organized ahead but the morning the guys, five, showed up we didn't know what to expect & they were amazing! Efficient, organized, knew exactly how to pack odd shaped items & protected all our wall hangings. It also started to rain, sometimes heavily, but that did not slow the guys or the process down at all. They were all extremely professional, kind & worked very well as a team. My scenario- moving out of one house, and storing belongings for a few months while new house completed and ready for move in. Pros: Courteous, Randy was good to deal with, quick Cons: (Get ready, lots of these) Lateness, complete disregard for items, quote way off, actual movers are grunts who get job done quick - but at expense of your belongings, trucks used at my site were another companies - got stuck and I was charged the 45 minutes it took these knuckleheads to get it out of my yard, bought the guys lunch and I was charged for the half hour they took to eat, their billing system on ipad is constructed in a way that you don't see what your signing, or agreeing with in signing. Not sure if it was in moving, or in storage that they destroyed some of antiques (not just scratches, but blew apart a Martha Washington sewing table, and end table to my Grandmothers bedroom set and broke legs off antique Hoosier and a side table), tipped rolling toolboxes over to pack them (and dump tools out into sides so drawers wouldn't open), walked a white sofa on its edge with their 'protective wrap' obviously torn off and sofa fabric exposed, packed heavy items over hanging items boxes so they crushed (these guys know what they are doing, right?), dragged a motorcycle lift to garage and ripped through air pressure hose to the lift, office chair leather abrasions, high end stainless grill dented to point door wont open, and the list goes on. Will post photos later If your stuff consists of IKEA furniture and minimal value items, maybe you would consider using them, otherwise steer clear read more

If I could give negative I would but whatever. Long distance move. The good: 0. The bad: 1-Showed up 4 hours late with 3, not 4 people because 1 walked out on the job. Did damage to entrance way frame and needed my husband who just had a stroke help trying to figure out how to get some furniture out. Totally clueless. 2-Although we sent a pic of a pod that was already full, a motorcycle and a full garage, they pulled up with a Budget rental that was only big enough for 2/3 of our stuff which remains in Massachusetts. 3-Although we were told to meet them at new place mid afternoon, they were there at 8am and waited for us as we were 4 hours away. Also only 3 people, 1 of which they hired from Craigslist, which happened to be the nicest one of the bunch. 4-Complained about how heavy things were, scolded us for not directing them to where things go even though labels were very clear. 5-Several items broken because although they were labeled "Fragile - crystal", etc they were stacked at bottom of several boxes. Several plastic large containers with sentimental value Christmas ornaments broken. Just pretty much sucked and we r still figuring out how to get the rest home read more

Several issues to make this an okay experience, but I would say try another company 1. Within the first 15 minutes, one of the 2 movers quit, came back, then quit again (not sure what internal problems they have) but I generally didn't mind, I figured I would get some consideration on the total time charge, and a back up did come an hour after. But easily, this whole delay added an hour to the move, but only a half hour was taken off. 2. They require a deposit of 1 hour travel time, which is fine, but this charge is just them charging to get from Waltham to Allston, which is only a 20 min drive, and I assumed this would cover the 3 mile drive from where I was moving from to where I was moving to, wrong. It took the moving truck over an hour for that drive. I left at the exact same time as the truck to meet them and it is only a 15 min drive. I didn't expect to wait for them for an hour once I arrived. I also got charged for this in the total time. 3. My total charge was $100 over the quoted range, and that is with their "courtesy" of taking off only a half hour when there was only 1 mover working for a whole hour. I really did not have many items, and they only had to unscrew parts of two furniture items, and as this was my second time moving all this exact furniture and items, I did not expect the loading to take more than 1 hour, it took 2 hours. Overall would not recommend these movers. If you do go with them, be aware there is a different price depending on whether pay cash, check or credit/debit. read more

Of course, we had to pick the hottest day of this year to move! Chuck and his team, Peter, Devin and Will were absolutely terrific; arrived on time, courteous and polite. They were efficient, neat and packed everything 1000 times better than we expected. We had some antique furniture as well and they packed everything in bubble wrap or blankets and were so careful with all our things placing them into storage. When our new house is completed we'd love to have the same team back for the unpack!! The final price was just as the quote stated. Great job and we'd recommend Annabelle's to anyone! Amazing job! Paul, Cliff, Jeff and Nate were fabulous. They worked so hard, kept things neat and did a great job wrapping TVs ad furniture. The amount they stack in a truck that fits like a jigsaw puzzle is incredible. We moved from Walpole to a storage unit and they placed everything again in storage like they did in the truck. I booked a move for 3:30 and paid the deposit of $150. I received a call at 2:50 that the movers would not arrive until 4:30. At 4:40 the movers had not arrived so I called. An employee named Julian answered and informed me that the movers would probably not arrive until 5:15 and that they were still at his facility. When I complained and asked to speak with a manager, he refused to give me anyone else's information. When I asked again, he said he would just cancel the service and then hung up on me before I was able to say anything more. I haven't revived a refund for my deposit and will follow-up if it doesn't come through in the next few days. On my thumbtack review, they claimed they cancelled my job because I "demanded a refund." This is simply untrue and they cancelled because I wanted to complain to a manager. This is the first yelp review I have ever written because I never think things are good/bad enough to warrant it but this was by far the worst service I have ever received and I don't want anyone else to be stranded without movers the way I was. I ended up finding movers for a fraction of the cost that were professional, punctual, friendly, and fast. If you need movers in the area, annabelle's is the last place you should go. read more

They even put in extra time to unpack my belongings and help me with my children. The owner always responded to my text and calls.....and when I ran out of supplies the owner personally came and brought more. Annabelles also stores some of my items and I have not had a problem. We hired Annabelle's when my parents moved and they did a great job, so we called them again for a large move involving many fragile pieces. We packed most of our things (and labelled them), but their guys came in and took care of all the pictures (some very large), large lamps, mirrors, and other breakable items that we could not handle. They were prompt, friendly, professional, and were quick to ask what else they could help us with. The move was the next evening and our closing ran late. Randy worked with us to hold off the trucks until we had access to the house. The same crew arrived and were very pleasant even though it was cold and getting dark. They worked efficiently, but didn't look rushed. We had no problem finding anything after they left because they moved all the boxes and furniture into the rooms matching the labels on the boxes. We will call them again for our next move (which, hopefully, will be a long time from now)!!! read more

Used Annabelle's a few weeks ago to do a local move from Stoughton MA to Walpole MA. They were great and I would recommend right away. Pricing: beat 3 other estimates handily, pricing was about HALF as much as competitors Customer Service: Julian (he runs the operation) personally visited the house a week prior to inspect the house and take inventory so he could provide the best quote and labor estimate possible. Quote was 100% accurate when moving day happened. Moving Day: team was on time, we were out the door within 4-5 hours total. On site at new house on time next day and they had me unloaded within 3-4 hours. Overall: would recommend, 10/10. Had small issue with a tv screen getting damaged (it happens...it was wrapped tight and was treated with care so can't be upset), but Julian called me personally and immediately agreed to take care of the situation with no hassle at all. These guys rely on word of mouth referrals so they take great care to provide excellent service. In the end, even credited me with a $150 off total labor AND took care of me on the replacement TV. read more

only use them if you want your items broken or just never taken to new location!!! I am 7 months pregnant and had to move in the middle of the pandemic. Randy was easy to deal with and seemed to go out of his way to help. I had asked him if after I did a walk through of the house showing everything that needed to go if I could take off because of the situation, and he said yes no problem he completely understood. There was never a mention of a final walk through to make sure what I had told them movers to take had actually gone, besides the point that they had already made a inventory list and emailed it to me of the things I had told him needed to go. We ended up scheduling the move for 2pm which they did not show up until almost 4pm with me having call them to find out where they were because they did not call to say they were running very late. After walking them through the house showing them everything that needed to go we left, and thought everything was good. We received another email with the list of items and the price for the move and we also were storing the items till our new place was available it took about a week. when we called to schedule the delivery to the new place there were no issues and we got another email with the inventory list with the items there would be going to the new location. When we arrived at the apartment we found that we had a full kitchen table with 2 chairs missing, along with other kitchen items, an end table for the bedroom missing, blankets and pillows from our old living room where not there, the book case was missing 2 shelves there was a hole in the side of one of our chairs, even the bottle of dish soap we had stored was filled with water replacing the soap. I had written Randy an email to tell him about a few items the kitchen table be the most important and he told me that he was looking into it. there were a few days of going back and forth till I received a email from JULIAN telling me he wanted to speak on the phone, when he called he told me none of the stuff was found in the warehouse I then talked to him about the inventory list that was sent to me the day that they were moving the items into the new location and why they were on there if they weren't taken and his response to me was they don't look at that list!!! He told me that he might have a dinning room table that we could have in place of it, but he wanted to me to get a hold of the new owners of the house to see if the items were still there. I did what he asked and got a hold of the new owners who had said that they house was emptied anything left was discarded and Julian's response word for word via email was "I don't understand why no one was made aware that items were left behind. Seems very odd. "He then sent us pictures of a table that was way to big for our new condo, so I let him that. His next email to me was "That is the only table we have. I can keep you updated if something else pops up. We cannot take responsibility for you guys not doing a final walk through. I am more than willing to give you the table in the table in the picture and not charge for the delivery" I had response email to him telling him he was very unhelpful with a situations his company caused and wasn't doing anything to fix it besides send me a table that is to big that is not my stuff, but he wouldn't charge me for it are you kidding me!!!!! he sent me one last email that said "wow, this is upsetting to hear. I have don't nothing but try and help you in getting a replacement. wish you all the best in life. god bless! Julian is terrible he doesn't care about your items or how to fix a situations when its his fault!!! don't ever use them!!! I'm sure he will try and write a response to make himself look better but i have emails to back it up!!! read more

I didn't actually move locations, just wanted to move a bedroom set on a 3rd floor to the 2nd floor and the 2nd floor to the 3rd. Pretty simple job. Everyone here was great. This moving company is amazing!! We could not have been happier. They were right on time when they came over for the quote and during both days of our moves and there wasn't a scratch on any of our items (we had two full truckloads). Pricing was great. Excellent communication through the whole process. On top of that, they were SO accommodating and actually came over last minute to help us move a few items that we weren't planning on moving until the following day. Great company. I got quotes form a few places and decided to give this company a try. I was pleasantly surprised. They were prompt for the move out, the moved quickly but were very careful with our things. We had an unexpected delay in closings, and the men at Annabelle's relieved our stress by figuring out extended storage for us. They were later than expected for move in, but called us. After unpacking everything, we noticed we were missing brackets to connect the mirrors to the bureau, I contacted the company and they went and checked the storage unit and brought the brackets to us immediately!
