Dear Mr. Dover: I wanted to write you about the extraordinary service we received from your senior technician Jonathan recently. Our computer was acting up and I looked online to find your company BoxAid and that it had been recommended by the Wall Street Journal. I was a little hesitant to pay the $89 at first, but since my husband didn't have to move the box and take it somewhere and the fact that Box Aid was highly recommended, I made contact. The main problem was that I could not get Windows 10 to upgrade, so it seemed a simple matter to fix. Well, it wasn't and Jonathan took his time and very thoroughly went through all the possible fixes systematically until it became clear that he'd have to wipe the drive and start over. He could have bailed at any time after the first 90 minutes, but he stuck with me until he fixed all of the problems we had. He spent some 4 or 5 hours on it Sunday evening, and then on Monday he got started again before his 1:00 shift was to begin. He worked on it the rest of the night and finally was able to finish by around 10:00. (I have the slowest speed available with Time Warner.) He worked his fingers off fixing our computer problems and we are very, very grateful and impressed with his dedication to do the job right. In addition to the effort he put in, he kept in close contact with me during the process, continually reassuring me that it wasn't my fault and that this sort of thing happens a lot, and he was always very polite. He didn't just fix the problem, he patiently and graciously led me through the process and kept me in the loop with everything he had to do. It was simply a remarkable experience and Jonathan's work ethic, tenacity and professionalism are second to none. He is a superb representative of your business and I cannot say enough good things about him. We will be using Box Aid on a regular basis for periodic and preventative maintenance and will insist on having Jonathan do the work. My laptop (Windows 10/8 nightmare) was just about functionless and I searched the internet for ratings of online computer tech support. I couldn't find anyon reviews more recent than014... after looking at dozens of Google pages on the topic, i was frustrated not to find what I needed. Then I became desperate. I just landed on the Boxaid web page by luck. I called. THIS IS WHERE YOU NEED TO GO FOR HEL:P! I was fortunate to reach Christopher. He was incredible. He calmly walked me through the remote connection, and immediately had a handle on the problem. This problem took over 4 hours to take care of. He lost me when my cell phone crashed, and was calm and resourceful in reconnecting. My computer came back to life, was working faster and he had cleared the problem and malware etc. Despite the LONG service timeframe, all I was charged was the $89 fee that had been listed on the web page. You will feel that your information is secure, that you are dealing with smart professionals and you can be confident that they put customer satisfaction first. Boxaid just won themselves a new customer !After reading several reviews I felt comfortable in reaching out to Boxaid for on line tech support I have had experience with quite a few service companies through the years and know enough that when you find a good one, hang on to them.So I called and after a few minutes it gave me the opportunity to leave a message so that the next available tech could call me back. Within the hour I received a call from Christopher. He was aware of my request and very re assuring in his conversation with me about what he proposed to do to my 8 year old desk top that had been in storage and now I needed to see if it was still viable. It wasn't long before he said he wanted to spend about 11 hours on it to go through everything completely! I didn't even get the chance to ask about the charges before he said that this would still be done for the $89.95 !! So I signed him onto my computer and we set a plan that he would call me back when finished. This was at about 3:00 P.M. yesterday. I watched my computer being taken through numerous diagnostic steps , for hours. Then Christopher called me back the next morning to let me know that he was done. He provided me with a very clear summary of the outcome without any pressure for other services,even giving me a few tips that I already know are big time and money savers.I was so impressed that I have already asked him for a quote to re-do my company website, Blogsite and create some landing pages. OMG! This is as good as it gets! I am in my kitchen having a cup of tea while Boxaid is remotely removing a nasty malware infection from my laptop. (I am typing this on my iPad). I got infected yesterday when I mistyped a website, clicked enter and BAM! A robot-voice started threatening that it had access to all of my personal and banking information and demanding that I call a certain telephone number to regain access. I immediately shut the laptop down and unplugged it. I was tempted to bury it in the backyard, but, of course, I neglected to back up or save to the cloud all my documents and pictures. Those Bad guys had me by the hairs... So first thing this morning I started looking for computer repair and I saw Boxaid. On the one hand, I was suspicious about a remote business (Who are these people? Where do they live? How can I trust them?) on the other hand, all of my information may have been pirated by anonymous ne'er-do-wells. Believing that there are more good people than bad, I made the phone call to Boxaid: My faith in humanity is restored. The diagnostics were free...some malware they can get rid of, others need to be physically exorcised. "Luckily" it appears that I have a fixable type of virus. So far they have scanned 121,000 files and found 55 infections. And if they fix it, the charge is $89.95. They should change their name to "angels of mercy". read more

5 STARS is not enough! The customer service I just received by Kristina was simply AMAZING! I only write reviews when I experience over the top customer service and that's exactly what I just received. I was on the phone with Microsoft for about an hour trying to figure out why my "folders" in my email box did not transfer over. After exhausting all their efforts and my time, I was left trying to search for a remote computer repair company to help me with this issue. I came across BoxAid and as a business owner, I like their no hassle and straight forward pricing. Each time I purchase a new company, I have the same issue with my email and it ALWAYS take 2-3 hours to figure it out. So I was prepared for the same but low and behold, Kristina was able to figure it out in 15 minutes!!!! YES, 15 minutes!!! I was blown away, she is very knowledge, friendly and one of the smartest IT person I have experienced! She was also able to point out what the other IT people were doing wrong. It is the first time that I do a review for Yelp, but I think Boxaid deserves it. My computer became a nightmare four months ago since the technician who used to do the maintenance retired. The computer became so slow that I could barely open my Outlook to check emails or my Word app to write. After searching among dozens of companies (including reviews because I'm pretty suspicious of who can fix my equipment), I decided on Boxaid. Kristina, the programmer who attended me, has earned the title of "My Favorite Person of the Month" :-) Her professionalism, her patience and the knowledge with which she carried out her work deserve a rating of 10 out of 10. My computer was free from viruses (I keep these programs up to date), but there were many corrupt files and registries that were continually freezing the computer. Now it runs like new. Although it took longer than she anticipated to repair it all, she kept the payment at the stipulated price. FANTASTIC! Truly 100% happy AND impressed with this company. Incredibly easy to deal with, professional, thorough, and personable. Easy to access - I called at 8pm local time on a Friday night, that was 11pm in NJ, which was the location of the tech. I wish I had made note of his name, he REALLY deserves special mention. I know his extension is 801. And you cannot beat their pricing policy - extremely reasonable rates, no upfront charges, and no charge if they don't fix it. How can you beat that? It was such a pleasant surprise to have absolutely no language barrier and no attitude, just a friendly, very knowledgeable guy to work with. And talk about persistent, this guy spent hours pursuing every possibility before reaching the conclusion that my old, cheap PC had a hardware problem. This is without a doubt the best computer repair business, bar none. I have used Boxaid several times. They seem focused on fixing the problem first and their prices are remarkably low. They are totally service oriented. You will not get an intern. You will connect with a true expert. They know what they are doing and don't waste your time. I am amazed at their efficiency, kindness and skill at fixing complex or simple problems. Never are you over charged. They will put in the time needed and you know the cap for cost regardless. I had one problem that took several hours and still was charged the capped fee listed. You will end up wanting to offer more $ to the tech for their effort and time. Once again, techs at Best Buy made the installation of an Apple Airport Express router appear to be a five step no brainer. Good thing my friend Zach at Boxaid was there to lend a hand. He was on the button. Faulty router. No charge for the 90 minutes he spent with me last week on an unsuccessful reinstall. $29 to help me hook my speakers up to the wireless in the living room. If you need online repair I couldn't recommend anyone else with as much enthusiasm. Zach (from Canada) was professional, courteous, personable and I hope he friends me here when he gets the chance. I was his final job which ended at, I think, 1:30, but will be on call at 6:30. Believe they're an hour earlier than we. Boxaid and Jonathan got me back up and running with my computer after a virus infected parts of it and made, for me, a big mess. He connected remotely and stayed with it until it was fixed. He was friendly and professional in his conversation and his work. The next day, I discovered another part that wouldn't work (because of the previous virus infection, most likely), so I called Jonathan again. He called me back and immediately got that part repaired, too. I offered to pay him for the additional work and he assured me it was not necessary. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Boxaid. Jonathan even showed me how to do some things on my own as I'm working on my computer that would help keep it working more efficiently. I was experiencing horribly slow performance on my old Dell Dimension E520. The technician from BoxAid was excellent in ruling out malware and advised me to upgrade the memory. He spent about 15 minutes with the PC, was highly professional and communicated clearly; no BS. He directed me to low cost sources of RAM which I bought and installed (about 15 min) and now the performance is great. Several other online remote tech support companies were ready to charge upwards of $249 to do deep cleaning of malware etc. These other companies were vague about their location, charges, etc...big red flags. I didn't know who to trust as there are so many options on the internet and as I was trying to decide, Jonathan popped up (The only pop-up that was very useful lol) Jonathan was extremely patient with me as I'm not very computer saavy. The price was very affordable and the time it took was very reasonable. My experience with Boxaid & the technician was so great I don't even know where to start. First, the customer service and the courtesy treatment is a 5 out of 5. John is so kind, easy go and extremely knowledgable just what you need when your computer is giving you a hard time. This was my second time using Boxaid and it was as great as my first or better because John remembered me. John gave me a few recommendations that I didn't implement & had to come back & apply them. Jonathan at Boxaid went ABOVE AND BEYOND!! He spent hours cleaning up and speeding up my computer. He installed Windows 10, re-installed programs, installed drivers, explained what he was doing, and explained what was going on that slowed down my computer. He spent at least 3 hours with me and my computer yesterday, and today when I needed help, he remotely connected to my computer again within minutes and spent the next 2 hours helping me get my scanner to work again and installed another program. Fantastic! Easy and quick. Spoke and understood english...that is almost priceless in itself. After trying to be sold monthly or yearly subscription services with payment up front, I went to pcmag and searched for reviews for online tech support. Boxaid wasnt mentioned in the article, but I went straight to the review section and found commenters who mentioned Boxaid among other similar services. I did a quick chat session with Boxaid and decided it was perfect for my issue. 1 hour later, and $29.95 my issue was resolved. It also included some free tips and a very nice chat session. He solved my computer laptop issue, which was fairly complex, and then helped me to set up a new laptop. So I now have two working computers. I was having serious problems with my computer. I do a lot of photography and thought I was looking at having to buy a new computer because mine's 6 years old. I called Boxaid to see if they could help. Kristina got into my computer and found I was using 2 photo apps and they had completely filled up the memory on my hard drive. It was filled to 100%. She turned them off and cleaned my computer up so it has plenty of space now. We talked about options to prevent it from filling up again. John was exceptional! He knew EXACTLY how to fix my problem, and made suggestions to improve the speed which helped tremendously. I LOVED that he would log in remotely and I didn't have to drive somewhere to drop off my computer, and leave it there for who knows how long, and then drive back to pick it up, hoping they got all the issues resolved. The fact that we could talk at the same time that he was working on my computer, and I could show him what my issues were was invaluable.
