The mattress is causing me serious health problems and the manager Nate refuses to resolve the issue hung up the phone on me several times. I also don't think they respect or value their employees, including demoting someone who recently lost a loved one and had to close the shop early and then punishing her for that. When it comes down to it I don't think they value, respect or protect their customers or employees when challenges arise. Mattress Firm is pretty selfish and uses thier customers and employees. I don't trust Nate either.

Well, low and behold we actually found one here we like. It was a Lazyboy so we know the price tag ahead of time and can appreciate that as the value is there with the brand. We weren't positive we wanted the power though (at a grand for power leather each and we are getting two) so we filtered through the sale tags and see it's half off for the manual. Score! Let the clink-clink-clink of the manual reclining begin. So we asked if there were two in manual. Our sales rep had to search on the computer and discovered that they no longer carry the manual option, but can custom order it for $999. Ummmmm. No thanks. We went to the Lazyboy store instead and bought power recliners for less. However, we did end up going back and this time our visit was pretty smooth. We found an entertainment center and coffee table we liked since our set was well beyond its years. And since it was discounted and we saved money by buying the recliners elsewhere we bought it. Our pick up date was supposed to be on Monday night. It's Monday night and naturally it's not in yet...but hopefully it will be soon. It arrived in the middle of the night Monday-so we have it now and it was as lovely as pictured.

We contacted Steinhafels becuase we also puchased the warranty, and were told this is not covered. Long story short, after spending nearly 5000 dollars on a nice couch and a warranty, we only got one month of use before it had "normal" wear and tear. They sent a technician who did graciously fix 3 of the 6 chairs, but for whatever reason, they left before working on the other 3. Ashley refuses to send a technician out to finish the work because we are now outside of the 1-year warranty, despite that we reported the original issue immediately after the set arrived, well within the 1-year warranty. I can't recommend Ashley Furniture given the lack of commitment to customer happiness and I personally do not plan to buy any further furniture there - practically speaking, as we are in the process of buying a new house, we will need furniture and so the cost of the loss of our business is quite a bit greater than sending a technician out to touch up 3 chairs.

He was incredibly personable, walked me through all the mattress options, explained the lingo. He was honest with me about the best brands, the benefits of each mattress type, the drawbacks, etc. I ended up getting a Sealy Posturepedic that I really loved, plus two pillows that were on a BOGO sale.
