We were told that the frame basically folded open out of the box which wasn't true. We had to hire someone to put it together. I guess I'm old fashioned but when you buy a bed, it should be put together upon delivery. I have never had to assemble a bed before and never want to. The delivery guys who brought the mattress were great also but I'm not at all happy about the frame situation. Either be honest about that the the time of purchase or have someone assemble it upon delivery.

Wow, the associate who helped us today became more and more agitated as I asked questions…read more My mistakes: 1. I asked for the less expensive mattresses 2. I asked too many questions 3. After feeling like he was very condescending, I pointed out that he was not being very friendly 4. I asked for his name (he wouldn't give it) 5. I said, it's no big deal, just let it go man. Whoops, this guy closed the distance between me and him and said if I didn't leave now he was calling the cops and would trespass me. Just make sure if you go here, don't make the same mistakes I did. First go to the most expensive ones and THEN casually ask about the other prices. After that, if he makes you feel dumb, do NOT call him out on it. Just take your humble pie. Also, NEVER ask for their name after you've already upset them. They really don't like that. Oh, and don't go in on the last Friday afternoon in August. They are probably stressing about not selling enough mattresses that month for their commission and will become triggered VERY easily.

Kim also owns Affordable Fine Furniture Outlet, which is relatively small but very close by and on the same street. We were so happy with our Ashley couch and recliner that we bought from Kim, so we went here for our mattress. We bought a bed-in-the-box Sierra Sleep mattress by Ashley. We decided on a hybrid 13" firm mattress with pillow top (king size for $799, which is cheaper than buying from Ashley directly). So much better than buying a mattress online since you can try everything out and compare easily. We took our time, and the Ashley mattresses felt as comfortable to us as higher-priced brands.

I was just asking questions about getting a mattress and I asked one too many questions. I think the fact that i started off wanting to look at the inexpensive ones rubbed him the wrong way. They he said the store didn't carry any twin size and I'd have to order online. I was asking about how it worked if we order it and then picked it up from the store or if they deliver. His answers kept getting more condescending making me feel stupid. I finally asked so what's the point of the store. He said "uh well to try out the mattress and talk to someone helpful". At that point I said, well i havent felt that this has been very helpful, I should have just looked on your online website. This must have been his tipping point because he flipped out and closed the distance between him and I and started getting aggressive. I even said, hey man just let it go it's not that big of a deal. He was already triggered and said, you can just leave my store. You're tresspassing, I'll call the police! At that point I'm there with my son and I said ok let's leave. What's your name. He wouldn't give it just said we was going to call the police if we didn't leave now. We left. If I had read the reviews on this site, I would have never purchased furniture from Ashley. I was…read morein the store with a friend that was shopping and saw a dresser that I absolutely loved. It was perfect for my bedroom. When it was delivered, there were several problems the delivery said I should contact Ashley to get it taken care of. On the mirror frame there were 2 places that turned out to not have any finish. The tech Ashley sent out sprayed those 2 places and said when it dried, the finish would match. It didn't have the same luster. Also, on the dresser, the edges of the drawers were rough and unfinished as was the frame around the drawer. Again, he spray painted (the finish was espresso) and said that would take care of it. I said it wasn't the quality I would have expected for the price I paid. He said my expectations were too high. He told me they used to finish those edges, but they stopped doing it some time ago. They sent the tech out again because I wasn't happy with how it looked and he came out and told customer service that it was within standards. They sent me a message that as the dresser and mirror were within standards, I would not be able to get a replacement or any further repair. Their standards are very low! I do NOT recommend them!
