As the mother of a teenage boy, I have visited countless stores that appear similar to this one. What makes this particular Zumiez stand out is the customer service. Lyric is one of the managers at this location and will go above and beyond to help you find what you need. The positive energy that Lyric always has finds its way to the rest of the staff and so all the employees at this location are helpful. Most recently I had the pleasure of interacting with Nia. She was helping me find some sweats for my son while also helping another customer with a pair of shoes. She did not miss a beat and has the same enthusiasm about her customer service as Lyric. I really love this store., the employees make shopping in here fun. The prices are also reasonable and my son finds that the selection is pretty good. I wish all of the stores in the mall had employees like these. read more

I stopped by this Zumiez store location to look at skateboard. They had some nice board design here and the lady working the counter there was very helpful in answering my questions. I also looked at some tshirts design they had in the store since they looked nice. They had some deals going on but nothing grabbed my interest to purchase them. They also have some watches and sunglass in the store as well. Another worker greeted me when I walked inside the store and asked if I needed any assistance. It's been 2 years I put a review and out of nowhere is not there, very suspicious, very unprofessional, let me tell my story again since y'all want to delete it. I went there with my family. And let me tell you I have my hands FULL 2 bags on the left and 2 bags on the right. I couldn't rlly carry it. Cause I have tiny hands it's very difficult for me to carry heavy stuff. Anyways I like this beanie and I can't really hold it. So I put it in a white bag that I have is kinda see through remind you it's kinda see through so they should know I'm going to pay for it and. So I don't want to be carrying it , if they have shopping bucket or something I'll be gladly to put it , but that moment they didn't. Then I guess the manager. He didn't have a name tag so ima describe him. He had green highlight hair , glasses, and he look kinda fruity . I think he has tattoo not sure. He's tall too. Anyways he come up to me when I put it in my bag, and he say what do you have there I was like the beanie. Why? Then he say give it to me (he was yelling at me and when he yells he sorta spit at me) and remind you I didn't like it and I have a disability and it's very difficult for me to progress cause since they where yelling at me. I froze up, but then I told him I'm just checking around and don't worry sir ima pay for them. Then he took it out of my hand very unprofessional, very unsafe for people who have disabilities, and it's very frustrating. Brought my kids into Zumiez yesterday and have not had a shopping experience quite like this before. Felt too awkward to ask for assistance as one of the workers was crying hysterically and was cussing at the other workers. Felt so bad for the man who ended up helping me, he looked so stressed and clearly does not get paid enough to do his job. He ended up helping my kids and I, but won't be shopping here again. I am highly disgusted with the workers there. I was accused of stealing when all I did was reach for my bag I nicely told her that I wasn't stealing and if she liked she can look at my bag but instead the workers said nasty words to me like "you ugly bitch" I think maybe because she realizes that she was wrong and she was perhaps embarrassed who knows but morally have they not been taught any respect? Only because we walk in, no one in the store and associate is on his cell phone. We get his attention and be asks what size - brings us the wrong shoe - had to get his attention again - he tells me after i show him it's the wrong shoe and he replies "that's the closest one we have" Poor customer service. Was in the store and many more people walk in, he is still on the phone. Definitely not a sales call as he seems very social on the phone walking around chatting! Went in to get an outfit for my partner for their birthday and look at the figures they have. Only to be treated like we were stealing! They asked if we needed help which is fine incase we did but no we didn't. But they kept coming back every two minutes! After that they kept following us around, especially me! I went to the back as they had a sale on shoes up to 70 percent off! That was a steal! I'm looking at the shoes they have. One employee just kept on circling around me and I know this person was watching me because everytime I looked up they would give me this nasty look like I'm gonna put a huge ass shoe box in my tiny bag. After that me and my partner went to the registers to see the cool cholo figures since we have parents that love their culture/barrio. My partner then started to talk to the lady that was there, asking her about the figures that was behind her and she just stares at him all scared like he threatened her. When all of sudden another worker comes in being rude trying to size him up! We just looked at each like wtf is going on in here?! Why are we the customers being treated this way?! Without the creators of the designs we saw and us customers. These pricks wouldn't have a damn job. I work in customer service as well! Not even I treat my customers with such disrespect. I wouldn't recommend this Zumiez at all!! If you want to be treated well I recommend going to the one in Northridge. Never had a problem there! read more

I took a 50 minute drive to come to this store because their website showed they had 3 pairs of shoes I wanted in a certain size. After looking around, I went up to the guy and a girl talking to each other ignoring my presence. I then said excuse me do you have these shoes in black in size six (showing the shoe in another color). She looked at my bag and seen I was either returning or exchanging something so she turned her back to me to look at her coworker. She completely ignored me so I addressed my question to the guy. I then said I just wanted to exchange, if not what store had them. She turned around with an attitude and said oh we sold the last pair in a size six on Friday and when I had checked online ( I had check 2 hours earlier). I went back to her and asked if she can find out what store might have them and again got ignored. Luckily another worker, I didn't get her name, offered to help. When I told her that I made the drive here because their website said they had 3 pairs, she put the box down and went to take a look. And to my surprise there was a size six in black. The girl who I believe was probably the supervisor didn't even bother looking for the pair. She looked annoyed to be at work and possibly hungover. I went in for an exchange as the large shirt didn't fit me, I had already swapped it from a medium to a large but when I go to try out the shirt a couple days later it was way to big, I still have proof of purchase from the first medium shirt but the guy with the beard(supposedly manager) said he can't do anything but get this here's the good part, I go to the Northridge Zumiez and they swap it out no problem. The staff were so helpful today! My boyfriend bought me snowboarding pants which didn't end up fitting, so I needed to exchange them. Unfortunately, the women's pants that matched my set weren't available, but the associate was able to help me find a pair that would match and they helped me find socks too. The salespeople are nice and helpful. It's a little pricey and their womens' section is crap, but it's good if you're shopping for a dude. They carry a lot of shoes and there's usually a salesperson there to get you a certain size. Wow! Very rude manager Shauna today. She was out of store credit gift cards for a return that was 17 days past the 30 day date. No problem Ill take the store credit even though I had original receipt. She suggested I drive to another one to do my return instead of making the exception which she admitted she Could do but would not do. Another suggestion is that when she had time, she would drive to another store to pick up cards, I could then come back someday and do my store credit return. Wow! The male clerk asked me if I would like him to read the back of the receipt to me!! He went on to say because it says right there about the 30 days. I had tags still in the jacket and original receipt but they'd rather inconvenience a customer who on the purchase day spent $450.00 I'll never go to another one of these stores. The counter was filthy and had so much misc junk on it I had to put my bag on the floor and customers trying to make purchases were very annoyed that they couldn't put their clothes to buy on the counter. Power tripping and so rude!! Corporate!!! Please visit this store asap! It needs a lot of help. With 3 boys Ive been to my share of your other locations but this by far was the very worst.
