Every thing is set up nicely for holiday shopping. I like that they have fragrance test papers. Makes it easy to smell without having to spray on yourself and have so many scents on you. At the register, they have clear bags to use if giving as a gift, along with gift tags. I thought that was great!! When you open up the candles, you can smell them but if you try smelling them again, the scent is a little more faint. We bought a couple really cute cupcake bath bombs. I placed an online order this morning around 7:30am for pickup at the Fallbrook Mall Bath & Body Works. By about 10:25am, I stopped by the store to check if my order might be ready, even though I hadn't received the email yet. I spoke with Helen (who wasn't wearing a name tag I had to ask for her name). From the start, she was rude and condescending. She told me I would need to wait for the email, then, with attitude, mentioned they had "only opened 20 minutes ago." When I asked if my order could just be pulled since I was already there, she seemed annoyed. Thankfully, her coworker Candy was the complete opposite sweet, helpful, and immediately started locating my order. While Candy worked on it, Helen repeatedly interrupted her in a sharp tone, insisting she stop helping me to ring up other customers--even after my small order (just four items) was already finished. I finally had to ask Helen directly if I could have my order, and her irritated response was, "That's what I'm doing." To make matters worse, when I brought this up to the "manager," Amy, she seemed completely uninterested. I rarely leave negative reviews, but the way Helen handled this situation was unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional. Candy deserves credit for being kind and helpful, but Helen's attitude and Amy's lack of concern made this a very unpleasant experience. read more

Went in to buy a few things payed with my debit card and the purchase processed on my end the manager Lesly was insisting that it didn't go through and I had to pay again and that if the charge finished processing she would reimburse me. Well I went back because the charge did process and she basically wanted to go through my bank account to make sure there was no reversal. I went into the store today to pick up a few items and upon walking in, I received no kind of greeting, or acknowledgement from the various employees who were standing near the entrance and around the store. No one offered to tell me about any promotions running or offered any assistance at all. I walked around the store for a bit looking for what I wanted while employees walked around talking to each other while ignoring me completely. I placed a large order online less than a week ago and selected text notification for when my order was ready for pickup. I never received any text, so I went into the store to check the status. That's when I was told my order had been canceled, even though no one notified me. I checked my email that same day and finally saw a late cancellation message. I then had to spend 45 minutes on the phone with customer service in India just to file a complaint and place the order again. This time, I was forced to pay $7 for shipping because I no longer trust this store's pickup process. This was extremely frustrating, unorganized, and a complete waste of my time. Came here with my tween daughter for holiday shopping for my wife. I usually go to this store only around the holidays for gifts. The store was somewhat crowded and there was no one helping customers. My prior experience was there were plenty of friendly employees but maybe they fell on hard times and can't do that now. The worst part was the long wait in line to pay. They had only two people on registers and both were going over loyalty program matters. One was discussing free rewards with a customer. Another was trying to help a customer with their phone app and email. When I was paying the clerk was desperate to get me in their program but I declined. I don't want their emails. I'm all for loyalty programs but Bath & Body must have the WORST because it kept a queue of 8 people from more quickly paying for their products. I can tell them about my customer disloyalty program. The wait was about 25 minutes. I almost walked out. I'll get my soaps and lotions somewhere else. read more

This is my favorite location in the valley. They have a good variety of stock and the employees are very helpful. They have good sales and I love their hand soaps and wall flowers. I took a star off because I got a lotion as a gift with no receipt and the scent was not for me. In the past I could exchange it for a different scent but this time they did a refund but only gave me $3 for the lotion. Keep in mind the lotions cost around $15 so $3 did not to a long way. I wish I could have just gotten a different scent. There is plenty of parking and a big store for you to look around and I will definitely keep coming to this location. I will just make sure I either can get a gift receipt or just ask my friends and family if they want the product instead of getting $3 back. read more

I was so confused cause it was Vday and i did not know which sent i wanted to get my female friend. At 1st. it was the strawberry cause it was promoted for the Vday scent, But i did not like it, I ask for help an the sales person started to help me out with the different scents , Prior a elder lady was ear hustling to my conversation about the strawberry scent an said her husband loves the smell, Furthermore, after smelling 4 different scents i finally picked one. First one, I was shopping for candles & there was this sale sign on a candle display table, I gathered my items & informed the employee that one of the candles were on sale. She told me to wait so she can double check, found out that the sale was for the day before. I unfortunately had to put my candle because they didn't want to honor the sale that was on display. Second, we came at 7:55pm, the store doesn't closed until 8:00pm & we knew exactly what we wanted. We were denied entrance. read more

I've gone to this BBW location a few times because I don't have to go into a crowded mall in order to stock up on your favorite items. However, I was kind of let down by my recent experience will probably order online or go to another location for now on. Firstly, my 3-wick candle purchases were not given any protective paper or holders like in my past purchases. Glass can break easily and these candles aren't necessarily cheap. Second, I completely understand that popular scents (love love love White Barn Vanilla + Musk) run out. However, when I asked the cashier (a girl with long black hair, glasses, and a high-pitched voice) if they had any in stock, she kind of snubbed me and said that she's never heard of that fragrance before and just proceeded to ring me up and get me out of the door as if she was working on the week of Christmas. She didn't take even a few minutes to look it up in their database to see if maybe they had some in the back or if other store locations carry it. Or, to ask another associate to help me out. I really didn't appreciate that this cashier assumed (or perhaps tried gaslighting me into thinking) that I was mistaking a different candle for a BBW or White Barn one and wasting her time for asking. I've given this place three stars because the other associates in the store were friendly and the location is well-stocked with other items that I do like (such as their Sea Salt & Neroli products). The place is also well-kept and presentable. I'm giving a fair as possible review here by taking into account other factors as opposed to giving one star for how the cashier treated me. However, someone in my shoes would have happily given a lower rating (see some of the other reviews below). I attached a photo to my review as evidence that the candle I speak of does exist and I'm not some Karen who's on here ranting nonsense. Sadly, it wasn't purchased at this Bath & Body Works location. Like many of the other reviews I've read, I appreciate that this location is not in a mall. If it were, its very unlikely I would have gone yesterday. Something else I have always appreciated (at every location I've been to) is that they always have lots of staff to help but they don't follow you around- they give you your space. I like to take my time and figure out what I want on my own. I came here for lotion but they have body wash, body spray, hand sanitizer, candles and other things I'm not aware of. What attracts me most to this place is the scents of the products and the large variety to choose from. I haven't noticed any issues with the quality. It is definitely pricey compared to some generic lotions you might see at Target or Walmart but I don't come here often so I'm ok spending $30 here and there. They often have promotions that can be used with coupons so that is nice. I am a fan of the body sprays but I've primarily used the same scent from a different brand for 13 years now. Bath & Body Works changes up their selection periodically which makes the product less available. As for people who are mindful about the ingredients in the products they buy, these products are not free of parabens and dyes nor is there any such claim anywhere on the packaging or advertising I saw while in the store. I'm all for being careful and cleanliness, but they really need to check the way they address customers. Thanks for telling me to browse the store while I waited for my prepaid order to be brought out, after originally stopping me from browsing, and then following up by not wanting to hand me my order if I wasn't done, because you know, I might steal something. I'm surprised no one has reviewed this store yet! It's a decently sized location in an odd place; it's next to a Justice and Trader Joe's. Not quite where you'd expect it. That being said, it's nice to be able to grab some gifts without having to go to the mall. The salesgirls are helpful, but not intrusive. One of my favorite places of all time. haha I am a collector of their three wick candles and I am obsessed with them! They are the strongest candles out there, Yankee doesn't even come close. :P Most of the reps here are very nice except for one who told me they do not do price adjustments at all. Then Customer Service told me they do, within 14 days. They also sent me a $25 gift card becuase of that one rep. Their customer service is fantastic. I find this location super convenient if you do not want to go to the Topanga Mall. I usually stop by when I do my grocery shopping next door, at Trader Joes. Location is in a busy mall on Fallbrook Ave. Trader Joe's hogs up all of the parking, but that's not really a big issue for me. Prices are fair to pricey on certain things. They offer discounts for multiple product purchases so there are some savings available. Huge variety of fragrances and products to choose from. Here is what I do not like about Bath and Body works. Their products are not natural and contain many ingredients (ie parabens, BHT and sodium benzoate) that are known to be carcinogenic/cancer causing. I wish they offered an organic line for those that care about our well being. BTW, my wife shopped here until she found out about the nasty ingredient profile. Now she avoids this place. I stopped by their 3 for 3 sale Black Friday and purchased hand soaps for home. I ended up buying 12 soaps which averaged out to $3.83 each before taxes. Today they have a sale of $3.25 for soaps that I purchased. I called to ask if I could bring the receipt and get the refund which other locations do, but they said I would need to bring all the soaps back and then purchase them again. How ridiculous that policy for this location is plus the fact I had a reward that expired during covid and they refuse to reinstate it on my account. The company has the worst customer service in corporate and store level I have experienced especially during the covid era. So sad it has to come to this crap. read more

Back in the middle of July 2020 when the store opened again for the first time after the Virus outbreak somewhat leveled off, it was hot outside waiting in the long line and the staff provided everyone waiting in the hot sun with a small bottle of water. How thoughtful!! Who does that anymore? This is called EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I went to a few of the B&BW stores during this time and the West Hills location was the only store that provided water to their customers. I also like the fact that the employees will search the store for the item(s) you are looking for ... and they will even call another store for that item and if they have it, put it on hold for you.
