Frustrating! My cardiologist needed a compliance report because they could not read the card at the sleep lab. I have to drive the card to one of the BPGamma offices or mail it was what the BPG personnel told me.. There was no time frame in how long the process would take and would it be returned in time so that the cpap would not stop functioning without the chip. I decided I would drive it to a site. on Friday (This was Thursday AM...07-17) Thursday evening (07-17) when I was going to use the cpap, it functioned for about 5 seconds and then shut down completely so I had no cpap for the night' When I called to inquire if I could bring it to the Prince Frederick Center the answering person "didn't know." I would have to contact them but " the phones are not functioning there again today.". So I am left with no information and of course no cpap. The last time I mailed the equipment for repair they had it for a month. When I inquired as to it's whereabouts---"they had forgotten to mail it back to me." After years of having to deal with constant delays and order screw-ups, I stopped using BP Gamma for CPAP supplies. They have an immensely incompetent ordering set up & culture. There were one it two helpful people, but most make errors in ordering and when you call to ask about it they blame you for not making sure they didn't make the mistake! That to me represents a business culture that is dysfunctional and not interested in improving. I switched to Aeroflow which generally does a good job, with a few glitches here and there, but a huge improvement. Sometimes you don't realize how stressful it is dealing with an incompetent business until you switch and realize it shouldn't have been that hard to get supplies sent out. read more

I was about to use the Frederick, MD office of BP Gamma Medical, but after a representative asked for my credit card information over the phone and being told that I cannot make a payment on their website I found that their website has a dead payment link, and then reading the numerous and troubling reviews concerning over-billing, charging for supplies that were not needed and poor customer service I have changed my mind. It's worrying that you cannot depend on some companies to help you. read more

For the second time in the past year BP Gamma has refused to exchange/replace a wrong none fitting chin strap they've sent me. This time I've decided to contact Medicare that has paid for this wrong item. After spending on the phone a better part of the morning, a very patient Medicare agent has arranged a conference call with me and BP representative, who has still refused to exchange the part. So, I am now stuck with a useless item and Medicare agent has filed a complaint against the company. I think I'll be trying to find a better supplier. read more

I have been trying for months to get my portable concentrator fixed and Chambersburg will not answer or call back. I have been leaving without for month because they won't bring me tanks or answer the phone. I have called all other locations they are just as useless. The only reason BP Gamma received 1 star is because that was the lowest I could go to write a review. After waiting a month, still no delivery. Going to contact the doctor to have the order cancelled, and find another company. This is one of those head scratchers that makes you wonder how some companies stay in business. They are the poster child for Murphy's Law. If it can go wrong, it will. I'm quite sparing with my *one star* ratings but this involves *health care* and requires a higher standard than your local fast food joint. Truly one of the most mixed up companies I've ever dealt with. Expect them to send you the wrong thing, to the wrong place or forget to send it to you at all. Expect them to continually lose track of your history. Expect them to be totally out of sync with your doctor and insurance company. Expect long waits on the phone in which you are tossed around from department to department like a flaming volleyball only to end up where you started. I was sent here by my neurologist to get my auto-pap device. Instead of going through insurance I decided to pay off my hsa card. The lady asked if she could call me back on the phone so she could have time to put it all together and convert it from insurance to direct pay. Once called back it was quick and easy to set up the appointment and go in for my equipment. The financial manager came over to advise I had been overcharged and that they could credit my account or do an internal credit to allow me to get more supplies in the future. Overall a great experience, great people, and I will continue going here for everything I need. read more

I don't know what all the complaints are about. I've been using them for a year and a half. They are always responsive. When I forget to reorder cpap supplies, they give me a call. Stuff comes in a couple of days. I was having problems with the noise of my machine at night. My wife was considering separate bedrooms. My doctor was no help. I mentioned it to these guys, they suggested (and sent me) a chin strap. It changed everything! I am happy as can be with BP Gamma! read more

They don't answer the phone. Waited a year A FULL YEAR for a machine and got a junk model that doesn't connect to the internet. Had they filled my prescription when it was put it I would of had a model with Wi-Fi. Now that he app is useless and my DR cannot read remotely. I am very unsatisfied with BP Gamma. I received a resupply of Cpap supplies that I have not been using since bypass surgery in early 2020. Somehow the box just sat in the closet while I was handling the covid situation (I did not have it), working part time, and convalescing. This is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. They will tell you direct lies about items you order being "discontinued" when they are not. They will only sell you the CPAP supplies for which they make the maximum amount of profit. No matter what supplies you order, they will send you whatever THEY want to send you and then they refuse to take the items back. Their website forces you to do Auto Pay and it is impossible to use customer support to swap cards (for FSA card usage, etc.) Their electronic Invoice has no details so you never know what you are paying for. Since getting them on the phone won't work, I am going to have to take time off of work to drive over there to try to get this straightened out. All of the other poor reviews are absolutely right on the money! After dealing with this firm for several years, I have reached my limit. You seldom reach a live person when you call, and when you do connect, they act as if they are doing you a favor by taking your call. They cannot seem to send auto-ordered supplies on a regular basis, they mix-up orders, their billing statements are vague and nonsensical: e.g. My CPAP mask comes in a sealed bag with a headband/strap to hold it in place.....so, why is there a separate charge for that strap (c. $40)? They have also charged my insurance for returned items. I get the feeling this is a business run out of someone's garage. There has been no improvement no matter how many opportunities I have given them to get it right. Go ANYwhere else for your supplies. read more

Wish I could give it a zero star. No one picks up or returns phone calls. After five phone calls and voice mails, the CEO, Evan Kline, answered his phone. (I had previously called the oxygen department about 10 times leaving messages). He was hostile telling me that he and his staff always returned my calls - not true in anyone's imagination. You can't get assistance because no one responds; it's like spitting in the wind. I received a portable oxygen machine WITH NO CARRY STRAP!!!! Eleven days later, I STILL have no way to make it portable!!! Mr. Kline was rude, talked over me and denied everything I said. These people make ordering CPAP supplies about as hard as possible. Today I called (you know because they refuse to do auto-order and the only way you can order is calling every single time) and was on hold for an extended period of time. Then I was transferred to voicemail anyway... which if I had known was going to happen, I would have pressed the button to leave a message instead of waiting on hold to talk to a real person. They just are not interested is any sort of customer service-- this is strictly a take it or leave it situation. The initial set up process is great: the therapist came to the house and set me up clearly and easily. HOWEVER, follow up care is non existant and automatic delivery does NOT work. I have had this serve for over 3 years and am constantly being dropped off of automatic delivery and not getting my supplies (despite no changes in demographics, insurance, orders, or year). Calling in to customer service is useless as the people who answer are unable to effect change or DO anything. When my order finally arrives it's wrong. Their online order system doesn't reliably work. You can place an order and not know that they never received it. Once you get one of their sleep specialists on the telephone don't trust what they tell you. They don't always follow through on their promises. That's what happened to me today so it will be difficult to get my supplies before the holidays. They take 7-10 days just to process orders, IF everything works as it's supposed to. read more

Worse than horrible. Last December I tried to order replacement supplies. They apparently misplaced the order. Then they told me the prescription had expired and they couldn't fill the order. The rep in the supplies department talked as if I was trying to do something illegal. I got a customer care rep who promised to get it all straightened out. I called back in a few hours and was told that from then on I could talk only to the pig in the supplies department. Today (7/15/20) I got a cheery survey call from a company asking how my service with BP-Gamma was lately. I explained, and they thanked me and we said goodbye. I tried calling BP-Gamma to ask about this bizarre follow-up call and couldn't get through to ANYBODY. I wouldn't buy replacement supplies from BP-Gamma if they were the only company in the market in North America. (P.S. They aren't. I found alternatives pretty easily.) read more

They would rather lose customers than help them. For two months, I have been trying to get a replacement CPAP machine for my old one, which is wearing out after only two years. Acquiring a CPAP machine is now a shell game that involves five entities: myself, my doctor, a sleep clinic, my insurance company, and a "medical parts supplier" which in this case, was BP Gamma. For two months, I had patiently worked with every part of this, filling out forms, correcting mistaken phone numbers, filling in communications that these parties SHOULD have been doing independently. I hit a problematic deadline because my health insurance was about to change, and I didn't want to start all over. As for BP Gamma, their "customer service" is non-existent. With the exception of one person, everyone I spoke to was unknowledgeable, terse, rude and condescending. The worst culprits are in their "supplies" department, as they will mumble something and transfer you to a voicemail before you can finish your sentence. All this after waiting on hold and being redirected for 20-25 minutes. When I called back and complained, I was put on the phone with the Vice President of the company, who accused me of "abusing his employees" [read: complaining]. He told me that he would look into the problem himself, call my insurance company, and get back to me in 15 minutes. He was lying. I received a call two hours later from my sleep clinic stating the BP Gamma had dropped me and refused to provide service. Because of them, I will now have to pay out-of-pocket for CPAP equipment. The medical supplies industry is a racket. There are two possibilities here, and I don't know which is the truth: a) The company does sell CPAP equipment (I have bought from them in the past), but they are actually a front for something else that is illegal. I can say from experience that they attempt to sell extra, unnecessary supplies. From this I presume that it makes both them and the big insurance companies more money. b) They are a legitimate company, but they play games and willfully make mistakes and lose information with the intent of getting customers to give up in a huff and just pay for the equipment themselves. What they didn't expect from me is that I wouldn't give up. these people, among other things are responsible for providing CPAP machines and supplies for folks with sleep apnea. From the date the doctor faxed the prescription it took more than 5 WEEKS (and counting) to get it processed. I say and counting because I called another DME provider and got my new CPAP in 3 days! Surprising one reviewer gave BP Gamma 5 stars. I'm with the majority of folks; a somewhat generous 1 star. The only time they actually call me EVER is when they try to sell me something (filters, mask parts, etc.) Before my purchase and after, they came across as nothing but aggressive sales people. My ENT asked me about them, and wasn't in the least surprised with my negative opinion. He has heard that before from others. They are looking for a new cpap supply vendor to work with. Their main office/supply place in Frederick is ... very special. Its in the very back of the nearly abandoned warehouse that was once a major Toys-R-Us regional warehouse hub (hence the Geoffrey Way address). Spooky doesn't even begin to describe it. I am sure the rent there is cheap; that seems to fit BP Gamma's corporate image perfectly . read more

I had ordered replacement supplies in beginning of Feb. this year. They said I needed a script from my Primary Care. They faxed him a script to be signed which he did first week of Feb. Time went by with no supplies. I called Gamma and was told he did not respond to the request for script. 5 times they sent him a script and 5 times he signed and faxed back. I have copies of all the faxes they sent and were sent through. I finally got my supplies after 3 months. Meantime I was using a mask for months that was so worn that it was ineffective. I think I am going to look into another supply company. read more
