When my sleep study was complete, my follow-up appointment was with a nurse, but the discussion felt more like a sales presentation than a medical consultation. The focus was almost entirely on selling me a CPAP machine, even after I explained that I wasn't interested in CPAP therapy. When I asked about alternative treatments, the conversation ended. I was told that someone would contact me to discuss other therapy options, but they ghosted me.

The sleeping room was shabby with scuffed walls, a damaged headboard, and a broken bedside lamp. Most unsettling was the pillow I received, which was badly stained a deep, sickly yellow, leaving me with the impression that the place was unhygienic. In addition, no air conditioning came into the room when the door was closed, making the room warm and stuffy. Needless to say, I didn't sleep at all, making the "study" a waste of time. Further, there were billing issues after the fact. My payment wasn't credited to my account for several weeks so I received late payment notices! I don't plan to go there or use their services ever again.

I need to see them more often though and not wait years because my pressure may need to be increased after so many years and I definitely need a newer Cpap machine. I have an appointment at the end of the month for a new sleep study. I'm very excited to get this part of my health stabilized again because it's affecting my everyday performance. His office and wait were a nightmare. I was used to a 2 to 3 hour office visit. I never expected a Dr. Office to run that efficiently, that quickly, AND address all of the issues currently and coming up in the future and managed to do everything from checkin to leaving practice in under an HOUR!. This is also the first Doctor to inquire about my headaches. He said, "I can fix that!" and he did! I haven't had more than 7 headaches in over 8 months! I used to get 3 to 8 a day. (I never brought them up because I assumed that was "normal" since I had nothing to compare it to. The disorder I have is like that... it's very strange and VERY HARD to manage ) I have called and spoken to the staff up front. They remembered me, and I remembered their voices from over the phone. I know it was actually office because they commented on my glasses when I asked if their's were fixed yet. Nice, clean, and friendly staff in addition to an amazing doctor, Dr. Siddiqui. He knows what my condition is (without having to Google it first) and understands and truly cares about trying to help my quality of life. I highly recommend him for anyone with issues that require the doctor to listen to your needs and want to help you achieve your goals. So disorders there isn't much you can do, so to find one to actually "Fix" something is a true miracle. I did happen to take to take a photo from out front. Definitely professional and best experience ever in this country. I felt like I'm treated as if I'm their colleagues. Wait, the scheduling process on the phone was also easy and nice. I didn't feel any sense of rudeness. Then, the form you'll need to fill in as a new patient was all electronic. You just need to scroll and click. Efficient!! One of the patient asked the receptionist "which doctor is the good one?" and he answered "all of them are good" diplomatically, too. Not much of wait time. It was in and out with clear next step to tackle the issue. Same vibe with the medical assistant and the doctor was very patient with my questions and explained everything I wanted to know. His imaging diagnosis convinced me of the importance to move forward with hip replacement surgery. Summit Orthopedics works closely with Sibley Hospital so I was able to schedule a Monday morning surgery and overnight stay at the hospital. The Nurse Navigator Supervisor at Sibley provided information on Pre-Op procedures and an appointment with Sarah, Summit's Nurse Practitioner, involved a review of the surgical procedures and the list of medications with a review of frequency. Dr. Siram brought together a great surgical team comprised of the Sibley Hospital Orthopedic doctors and nursing staff and an anaesthesiologist. The first nurse assigned to my post-Op care placed top priority on Pain Control and coordinated a meeting with In-House PT/OT Team to review and practice the Post-Operative exercises. I completed 2 weeks of In-Home physical therapy with Potomac Home Health Care, affiliated with Johns Hopkins and Sibley. The PT specialist was exceptional: checked vitals; reviewed my medications; provided a home exercise plan that helped me to begin walking with and without a cane, before starting In Office Post-Op PT. It has been about 8 months and I was doing great until 2 days ago. I started having pain in the back of my knee and calf. I started taking aspirin to help if it was a clot. The office will not give an appointment until mid October and today is September 10. I will utilize urgent care or go to the ER if it persists. I am concerned about infection. They transferring my telephone call to a different department. I said what seeing his PA but apparently you can't do that. I recommend the surgeon but not the follow up. Ps my primary doctor will fit me in tomorrow unlike my surgeon's office.
