The closest McDonald's with a drive-thru by my hotel was just south of this Speedway. It was easy to pick up dinner both times, drive up to fuel my rental car, and then drive back to the hotel. I like this gas station. It was clean around the gas pump that I used both times. I was able to pay at the pump with a Canadian credit card without any issues and drive away. I learned recently that if you have Speedy rewards, you simply select the Alt ID option on the gas pump's screen and enter your phone number associated with your rewards. You then get credited for points once you are done fuelling. If you do forget to enter your phone number, you can still claim your points through the Speedway app. However, you can only submit one transaction a week. Otherwise, if you have more than one fuel receipt, you can call customer service where multiple fuel receipts can be processed. It's amazing what you learn when you speak to a helpful customer service representative and you sign up for Speedy rewards blindly. My first experience visiting this gas station was memorable. As I was filling my vehicle's gas tank, I heard a lot of squawking. This gas station is next to a Mexican eatery. A man came out of the restaurant, took a chicken out of his truck, and walked over to this gas station's convenience store cradling it as the chicken squawked. The man looked through the gas station's window and then walked back to his truck with the chicken. One word: weird! My second visit wasn't as exciting. No chicken. No squawking. Not even from customers! I fuelled my car and left without anything odd happening. I do like this gas station. I'd return again to see if the chicken guy comes back with the same clucker. (28)

I was heading home the following morning and wanted to get the fuel top-off task out of the way before I returned my vehicle. I did a search for a gas station close to the hotel where I was staying at. I found this Speedway that was open 24 hours. It was a few blocks away. Perfect! Although this gas station is open 24 hour every day, it was lacking lighting when I got there after 10 pm. My guess for the dimness is that the convenience store wasnot be open -- just the gas pumps were available. It wasn't dark enough for me to whip out the flashlight feature on my phone to see the gas pump. However, I had to when I was using the keypad. If you are a cat with night vision, you'll be fine. Otherwise, bring a light of some sort. I found the Alt ID option and entered my phone number to earn points. I then inserted my credit card and fuelled my rental vehicle. I got a receipt when I was done. This gas station was clean. Well, I'd like to think so. I probably didn't see any dirt because it was so dark. It's a decent gas station in Richfield. I feel that there needs to be at least one light somewhere to make it more inviting and safe when you're fuelling after 10 pm on an October evening. (413)

The most recent one was earlier today - had to get my front brake pads & rotors replaced and get a new car battery. Friendly and nice customer service - appreciated the discussions of background and different options. Would have been great if the updates are more prompt - I was waiting in the waiting year and had to follow up a couple of times to check in on the progress of the repairs. Bonus that you get a nice car wash voucher for every service visit.

I arrived at the restaurant a little early, so thanks to Google Maps, this Speedway served as my fill-up. It's on the corner of 60th and Portland, and located right next to a very architecturally interesting Dairy Queen. I entered on the 60th side as there's significant road work on Portland when I was there. So for what I needed (a rental car fill up - self serve), with easy access and minimal wait, this place does what it's supposed to. The neighborhood bonus was the before mentioned Dairy Queen and a most interesting Know Name Records across the street. And it was easy to get back to the 5-8 club on time.

I cannot tell you pleased I am with their service and reactionary behavior. It's difficult at best for a woman to received honest and swift car repairs, let alone close to home. I like their no nonsense approach and will recommend them to anyone needing assistance in the area. It's a lot easier to get to them as well because the road construction in the area has moved west of them on 66th.
